Don't be so petty
Can the opinion about a perfume be influenced, and thus based on the (dubious) marketing strategy adopted by the company that produces it, or should it be restricted to the quality of the fragrance itself?

As a believer in second sight, I fear that the hatred suffered by Dior Homme 2020 is downright unfair.

The aroma is wonderful, although there is no denying that it is somewhat generic and made to please the masses and earn praise. But, after all, the market has always been permeated by this style. Big industry has never moved away from this commercial appeal. In all eras there have been numerous perfumes of the "common and easy to please" type.

Loaded with vetiver, it has great sustain for at least 7 hours in mild weather and reasonable projection in the first hour and low thereafter.

Finally, I say that, for those who feel it, it is very pleasant, being always commented as great, excellent, etc. Nothing below what I experienced when using other high-profile ones like Sauvage EDT, Prada L'homme and ADG.

Peach/Nectarine + plum
It goes well with the "shampoo smell" vibe, which I really like. But it's a very literal smell, let's say, it could be at least a little more complex. It's very linear, and as the fragrance is very simple it ends up being a "monotonous" perfume, but it's not bad (far from it).

It doesn't have much projection but the longevity is good, at least on skin and clothes.

Despite being classified as unisex, it is very feminine, perhaps due to the combination of peach and plum making the fragrance extremely fruity and sweet. Even so, as I like to challenge stereotypes, here I am using it without any kind of complex.

It's really interesting what Jo Malone can do with so little, turn simplicity and linearity into something sophisticated.

Masculine perfume with eighties faces
This perfume gives exactly and a little more than what the house promises: a metallic and fresh opening, a spicy heart and a heated background. In a few minutes I was immediately swept up to Paris. This perfume exudes Paris. The classiest, most artistic Paris.

In a few minutes, I actually feel the greens making their presence felt along with the woods. Deep down, the vetiver begins to peek out.

Interestingly, this perfume, although it does not have iris in its pyramid, develops on the one hand fresh and on the other powdery. But it is extremely aromatic, barber shop style..

It's worth being known but it's not a trendy or démodé perfume, but I don't think it would please most people more used to the rhythm of mass fragrances...

This one is from 2010 (you could say it's an unknown for the great mass) but I felt very comfortable. A perfume for the night, but for those who like to walk away from the crowd.

Chic? Yes!
It is shareable, but leans a little towards the feminine side (it has a delicate essence). Reminds me of a beautiful, classy, intelligent and educated woman. When I think of a woman involved (and asserting herself) with social projects and commitments to society, I think of this perfume.
I can imagine this perfume with white clothes, satin fabric. I imagine a bride at the wedding with the presence of intimate people and the cake with champagne.

The notes are distributed harmonically. The powdery notes are noticeable, a divine talc in the right measure. But the blackcurrant note is the one that stands out the most, as it gives a fruity touch (albeit fresh, not sweet) to a floral and powdery fragrance.

It's a contained perfume that doesn't get to stay in the air. It is intimate, however, unique. It's almost a white wine tending to dry (without being exactly dry) from specific grapes that only grow in a certain region.

Aventus familiar
The feeling that this perfume passes is unique. He's shy, he's cool, he's happy and serious at the same time. It's also intimate, but likes to show off for other people's smell. Formal, but it's also sexy.

I imagine a younger man, maybe a young man dressed in business clothes and going to work. As he leaves wearing this perfume, he is cornered against a wall and is then "devoured" by a mob of people driven mad by the scent. This perfume has the incredible ability to attract the smell of others. And, at least for me, it makes me think of good things.

Its secret is born, grows and dies only in the above-average aroma it has. It's in line with Aventus, not so much for the olfactory pyramid but for its smell. I believe that nowadays, it does not justify paying absurd prices for Creed, even because the most recent bathches no longer resemble those of yesteryear. Interestingly, Amber's performance is perhaps closer to the most recent batch of Creed, hence defending its purchase from Aventus.

Guaranteed compliments.
