Peacetul morning in a cottage
Why did Andy Tauer decide to call this perfume NEXIN? He says it captures the essence of our connection with the cosmos and the stars. When you google what nexin means you will find out it is a proteinous inter-doublet linkage.... gets a bit more complicated but the linkage is the key word here.
My personal scent story with NEXIN is not under dark sky full of stars. I see it linked to morning sky.
I imagine myself inside a cottage, remote, on a hill. It is spring time. Early morning. I am in the kitchen baking a lemon cake and the smell of lemon zest is everywhere. On my windowsill I grow pelargoniums, the kind that have leaves smelling of lemon and rose. I look outside onto the garden and see a gentle breeze touching the white linen drying. Sky is pale blue and so is the sun. It is peaceful.
I see NEXIN linked to pale blue, pale yellow and white.
I see it linked to cripsy washed white shirts in L'EAU, orange detergents in Orange star and Alpine air in L'Air Des Alpes Suisses.
If you like above three, you will enjoy it.

Feuille, the wild garden
Feuille brings up memories for me. On my skin the most prominent notes are of elderflower petals and sliced lemon. I think of times when we were kids and we picked elderflower petals with our grandmother. We used to put our noses very close to smell them and ended up covered in pollen. Feuille feels like it is full of it. Then we layered the flowers with slices of lemon and sugar into big jars, covered them with water and left them for a few days on our windowsill fermenting into lemonade. I also get hints of linden blossoms and I think of last June when I went to Berlin and met Marie, the perfumer behind this scent. She wore an early version of it. Linden trees were just finishing their blooming and their scent was in the air. There are hints of nettles, too. You put these together and you get the street outside my window, one side is planted with linden trees and on the other there are gardens, some unkept, with elderflower trees just finishing their bloom, nettles and other weed growing everywhere.

Vintage Hera
Hera is a vintage soapy floral chypre. I warn you to test before you buy, it is not for everyone. I feel like I am in an imaginary garden where I am pulling out carrots while surrounded by narcissus, jasmine and orange blossoms. It is quite soapy and ever so sparkly, later a little animalic. And it lasts forever on the skin.

Pistil - the wild floral
Pistil is in your face floral. I am in a meadow not in a florist, it is slightly herbal and wild. Wind blows in my hair and I stand there barefoot while sun sets. There is a hint of a dark purple sweetness, like a good plum tart - is it boozy or does it have cinnamon sprinkled on top? It has a creamy texture like some of my chypres do. Out of current Miskeo four scents, this one is the strongest projector on my skin. Don't get me wrong, it is still not the kind that clears the room, you are safe to wear it to public.
After six hours it calmed down and stayed on my skin for another six.

Smooth suede
Daim opens with naturally smelling mixed white florals followed by suede inspired by gloves that the prefumer's grandparents wore. If I concentrate, I can get the sage, too. But it is blended well. The scent is smooth and silky like a scarf. Gentle animalics join the suede and florals later. It does not have any drastic development changes and stays fairly linear on my skin. Despite the ingredients list, it is not a huge projector nor does it last forever on me, 8 hours maybe. But I do not mind. I like it. It is perfect for closed spaces. You can not possibly offend anyone with it.
Side note: My husband liked it on me as well as on himself.
