Vintage Lovers - Listen Up!

There will come the day where vintage scents are all gone. Nothing to be chased down on E-Bay, nothing found in estate sales, nothing, period. The vintage flacons you have will eventually be used, worse, they may turn.

So, the perfume industry does not sleep. Replacements are created. The aroma is approximately the same, with current ingredients in permitted quantities.

Well and good. I am so tempted to blind buy the new "Euphorisme d'Opium" by DSH Perfumes because I dearly loved my "Opium" from the Eighties and the current rendition is pathetic. DSH Perfumes just came out with their version. See this link to Kafka's blog where she describes it fully. A modern scent, lighter but very essentially "Opium" close to the cherished vintage. She has both and compares them side by side.

Samples are $5. and a 10 ml EDP spray may be a good purchase.

It is definitely on my Wish List.

Conclusion: If I want it very bad, and that moment may come, I shall order it.
