What is ist that makes you want to wear a perfume?

Most probably a certain ingredient that stirs up long memories unbeknownst until now. I have been testing hundreds of scents over the years. Only sometimes, rarely, comes the cry, "Now that's a nice perfume!" And then I say to myself, "This is what you should say about all your perfumes, each and every one." So, inside my collection are about five (5) favorites where this label of "wonderful" has been attached. Wonderful, uplifting, cannot stop sniffing the arm, wear it for several days in a row. And then, probably because the nose and the brain get used to the scent, I would store it away and pull out something else. Perhaps a novel sample, just for testing. Testing is okay, it is not meant to be anything than "scientific evaluation" with a different mind set which can tolerate the burden that not all notes are pleasing, it is just a road of discovery.

When I have found (via a sample or decant) a scent I truly, truly embrace, then a lot of money will be spent. And I feel that I am behaving like the women many years ago, way before the excesses of the Eighties, when perfume was special, the dresser had maybe three or five bottles and each one was cherished.

Since we are so mobile and fast paced in the current time, the "special perfume" can be decanted into a convenient atomizer and carried around inside the handbag, as a companion for busy activities. It does not remain on the dresser ... only to be used for special occasions. And yet, I punctuate special occasions with special perfumes. Then, again, memories will be formed.

On the phone, we can download applications and not spend any idle time without entertainment. "Special perfumes" can be decanted, like I said, and they, too, are at a moment's reach. It is a fast paced world.

"APOM pour femme" is such a special perfume. The translation is "a piece of me" which is a touching label. Marketing says, the master was reminded of his mother in Lebanon. But every female can proudly wear this beautiful scent and make it a piece of her. Especially since it is such a skin scent. It sprays on fresh, then develops rather linear into softer waves to a long lasting subtle and beautiful dry down. "Now that's a nice perfume!"
