Road sweeper
L'Ange noir, the name already melts on the tongue like black chocolate and when I saw the bottle, which resembled a rare black orchid flower, there was no stopping me and I ordered it blind. Big mistake! I sprayed myself carefully. Ok, scented like sesame and almond, quite tasty if you like it, I was determined to like it...well, others didn't like it.

With quick steps I entered the tram and sat down next to a middle-aged man. He inhaled noisily and then moved a little bit away from me........contritely I rose again and got off at the next stop, meekly and humbly. Even after that it hardly got better, I had the feeling that people avoided me, I mutated into a street sweeper, but unfortunately in a negative sense :-(

I am convinced that this fragrance could smell wonderful on someone else, provided it is used very sparingly. In the office, however, the conflict would be pre-programmed ;-)

So near the sky
Summer 1976: The sun burned mercilessly, the formerly green lawns were dried out and brownish. Watering the garden or washing cars was forbidden due to water shortage. In this long, hot summer I got to know Bluegrass. A light blue box with a small horse printed on the dressing table of my ma...carefully I take out the bottle and spray...a spicy "blue" scent mists my senses. With my almost seven springs I had not smelled anything comparable.

Well, my ma never wore that scent, unfortunately, and most likely gave it away. Many years later I met this scent again, this one slightly changed, but the memory was still there.

Bluegrass is for me the scent of late summer when the sky is deep blue. The sun hangs heavy and golden in the sky and the air is clear. The insects hum sluggishly and melancholy spreads. This melancholy is wonderfully captured in this fragrance.

Bluegrass is a fragrance I will always buy back.

Black lilac
This is my first comment, I beg your indulgence :-) For a long time I was looking for the ultimate lilac scent, which should remind me of the scent of the dark purple lilac in the garden of my childhood. So I tested the younger sister of Arpège and was disappointed. Disgruntled, I reached for the deep black bottle with the golden cap and suddenly I was wide awake! Lilac, just like I remembered! There is no lilac in the pyramid of fragrance, obviously my nose is playing a trick on me ;-) Of course I bought this scent immediately. That my mother, who died years ago, wore Arpège as a signature scent (apparently before I was born), I only found out much later. In my memory she sprayed herself with Madame Rochas.
Arpège is a wonderful soft fragrance with depth and character and for me it smells like lilac, whether it is contained or not. Unfortunately my husband does not like it at all :-(
