American version of Chanel Cristalle edt
I must confess that for a reason I myself can't quite say exactly why, I don't like some brands, and Ralph Lauren is one of them. In case you wonder which are the other ones, HB, GA, JPG, K, CH, etc ... But I was very excited to show a friend of mine my new acquisition that at the time I thought it was wonderful, well, I still do: Chanel Cristalle edt. Then my friend said it was like ... like ... RL Blue. I said Blue Pony? Blue Polo? Blue Hamptons? What/ And she said just Blue. Wow. Blue. So when I saw a 125ml bottle of the supposed Criatalle version by Ralph Laure I went for it, and the price was a catch, also.

Blue starts on my skin very flowery, as said many time before, not that acquatic and seems a little confused, busy somehow, trying to go/reach somewhere not quite sure where. But very quicly it begins to transform itself to a gorgeous scent. Frash, green, no galbanum?, earthy, and yes, it's Critalee all over my skin. In Blue however, I do get a mild scent of mosturising cream, not too strong, but defenetely feminine, but then it all gets rather soapy, wonderful and sexless, as angels are, really. It's true that Blue doesn't have some of CC spiceness, coriander, but is a very close match all the same.

I am very happy with a Ralph Lauren I can appreciate, although Blue is not party time sort of scent.

Extremely suave and exquisite masculine
I've got the new Chanel pour Monsieur EDP 75ml. And it's not easy to convey how it smells in words.
It sits right between the EDT and the Concentrée version, I mean, less citrusy and less sweety/vanilla like. But it does remind me the original, or the most recent version as I bought my EDT last June. However, Pour Monsieur EDP is very smooth and so discrete that it's hard to find someone young wearing it. Although it still doesn't smell dated, and quite modern for a chipre, Pour Monsieur EDP is running out of the present times fashion and trends. The notes are very well blended making it impossible for me to pick any one of them individually. CpM edp doesn't scream, doesn't offend, doesn't invade. It sits very close to the skin, very soft, almost powdery, but lasts for a long time. This wonderful smell follows you thoughout the day as an invisible cloud of goodness, of manhood. Too austere for work place, I've tried, unless you work in a very upper class office of any business but a serious one. I expect many could complain about silage and projection, but with Chanel pour Monsieur EDP, or the EDT for that matter, that's a good thing. Very good, indeed.

Impossible not to think about other scents like Mitsouko and Profumo, Boucheron pour Homme and even A Scent by Issey Miyake, Eau Sauvage and Miss Dior, and the green scents from Chanel itself like No 19 series and Cristalle. Those who love them will find a new friend in pour Monsieur EDP.

Wonderful easy Leather
For me, the old Fahrenheit dna is still present and does show where Le Parfum came from. The so called gasoline/petrol note is at its minimum in LP. But it is there and it makes the leather sound/smell more robust and refined than in the ol'Fahr. What makes me a little puzzled is the way people critisizes Le Parfum. Although it does resemble his now far relative, Le Parfum brings other things to my mind, or my nose. Cuir de Russie by Chanel and Cuir de Lancome are the ones I know. If it had a bit more florals Le Parfum would be a perfect scent all the way, because it wouldn't be hidden behind a"female" label, as it happens with other Cuirs. Because of its very high price Cuir de Russie is almost out of reach for me. I was trying to get another Cuir de L. in vain. And after reading some reviews about LP I thought it was going to be yet another Spicebomb clone ( yes, Bulgari Man in Black is just that plus some faint leather) I was nowhere close to a nice leather scent that could come out from my pocket. Than I saw a very tempting offer in the net, and got Le Parfum blingly. I am happy I did because it is just lovely. All is missing is the violet leaves, but Fahrenheit is there. Petrol? No, Leather. If you know the other leathers I said before you will know what I mean. Leather. Leather. Good quality Leather. And not that much sweet as one may think. My 50ml Cuirs de Lancome will last much longer now that I layer it with LP. I am to receive my bottle of Van Cleef&Arpels First EDP. I think one spritz would do magic combined with LP. I hardly can wait. And, you know what? I might ask Father Christmas a bottle of Cuir the Russie. How knows I've been a good boy this year?

Flower ...Bomb
Just wonderful. Flowerbomb reminds of a much better, and that's a hell of a compliemnt, version of Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. Yes, Flowerbomb is better because I can sense so many other perfumes in this that's bound to make it one of the best I've ever smelt. It's what a modern Guerlain and Chanel for that matter ought to smell like. Although some may say No, I think one day flowerbomb is going to became something like shalimar, Chanel No 5 or 19, and many others that are so dear for so many of us. Like I said about Spicebomb, FB is all that is said about it but the key is that FB is never too much of this nor too much of that. FB is just perfectly ballanced in all aspects that are relevant to make us smell nicer, cleaner, more comfortable, feel happy about ourselves no matter if only trhough some tinted lenses, and for a short while. We deserve.

I don't think Flowerbomb is more feminine than Dior Homme. It's only a matter of label.

This has nothing to do with LVEB. Well, apart from being sweet.

Amazing and modern scent
Do you remember the time when women used to complain about why only men could do certain things? Well, I wonder why only women can have the best scents? It's not fair. Period.
L'Eau Couture is a wonderful light scent for those who want to smell nice, clean, respectful, sober, classy, youthful and even religious. Why can't a man fell like being that? In 2014?
ESEC opnes very much in the fashion of Acqua di Parma Magnolia Nobile, and this opening will hunt you for a long time. Then it becomes a very soft light version of Fleur du Male, so smooth like velvet. Then it becomes a tiny bit gourmand-ish, like freshe light baked almond biscuit, not a single tiny bit burnt. All sweety and pale yellow, like something produce for a very pure ritual or to evoke such event. On my skin L'Eau Couture is like a merry-go-round, a never ending feell goosd/smell good scent. These waves come and go at their own pace just to remind me everything is alright, the world is beautiful ..." even the orchestra is beautiful." God only knows how much we need to feel like that from time to time, to cope with the other stuff.
The bottle is also a lovely piece for your collection.
Bravo, some times for Elie Saab.
