Come I'll tell you a (powdery) story...
Betty was her nickname. Her real name was Elisabeth. To be called by her full name, she was somehow still too small. But for her six years, she already had big dreams.
"One day,... one day when I grow up, I'll be as beautiful as Mama" she thought as she secretly tiptoed out of the crib and lunged through the keyhole of her mother's dressing room. She didn't seem to notice that her bare little feet were getting cold in the process. Sweet she was, standing there in her bright pink frilly nightgown, her mouth agape in amazement.

Behind the keyhole, her mother stood under a shiny chandelier. Lost in thought, she couldn't decide between the creamy white silk dress and the burgundy velvet gown. In front of the mirror, she eyed the garments held out on the hanger. Hmm, both were elegant and feminine.
She was looking forward to celebrating the evening off with her husband and was excited because evenings together had become so rare. Leaving nothing to chance. She wanted to remain the most beautiful for him, he should confirm in his mind that she had been the right decision then.

The gramophone played Natalie Cole's "This Will Be." Dreamily twirling to the tune in her satin bathrobe, she toasted herself with the champagne glass.

In front of the nostalgic Hollywood makeup mirror, she released the curlers from her hair. Gentle waves caressed her face. How beautiful she was. The heavy pearl necklace suited her perfectly. A clumsy movement of her hand caused the crystal glass to fall against the compact and the loose powder scattered around the room all the way through the keyhole.

"Ahchoo!" Little Betty had given herself away. There she stood now with widened, glittering eyes and an embarrassed expression before her mother, who at the last second restrained herself from scolding her. Noticing the little girl's admiration, she felt herself transported back to her childhood. Thus, the little girl was allowed to enter the holy hall, the dressing room dusted with powder. "Mama, if I were as tall as you, I'd wear that because it's just as red as your lipstick." She pointed to the off-the-shoulder velvet dress, she thought that was the prettiest.

Her parents were already out of the house and she sank into the land of dreams in her pink four-poster bed. The little powder footprints on the dark shiny tiles would still remind her of the magical Punder accident the next day...

About the scent:

Love Chloé is, for me, the epitome of a feminine perfume. The fragrance has a unique vintage magic.
It brings a certain heaviness that clings to the skin like a pleasant fabric. A fabric of the highest value. It is not a light, carefree fragrance. Rather, something dusty tinged. The wearer is probably aware of this. Used selectively, it unfolds its wonderful effect. Well-groomed, wealthy and elegant, it underlines the feminine advantages of a woman.

I compare the nostalgic character with a classic creamy white pearl necklace. Old-fashioned I do not feel him, however. He is absolutely Ladylike.
The top note can be perceived in the first moment as too intense and give the feeling of being knocked in front of the head. The pepper is to blame for that. Hey but he is pink after all! Balancing is a slight sweetness, which provides for the lovely.

After a few seconds, the most beautiful powder scent comes into play. This powder note remains dominant until the end. Orange blossom, iris, lilac, heliotrope are often found in powdery scents, difficult to identify them individually here. I don't know what talc smells like, but it must be good, because in combination with musk and rice powder the fragrance ends harmoniously warm.

The durability is not a beast, but up to 6 hours it is perceptible. Dosed carefully, it is rather dependent on mood and occasion. Nothing for every day. As can be seen from the description, he enjoys special moments. Moments that (can) become lasting memories.

Love Chloé is a lovely name, the rose gold bottle beautiful. The delicate, gold chain is attached to the lid and the glass bottle. A valuable and playful detail.

Eau Florale was the lighter, fresher version. I no longer have the Intense version stored in my fragrance memory, so I can no longer give reliable information about it.

I can only sadly puzzle over why Love Chloé was discontinued. Probably did not arise enough opportunities for its wearers*innen to celebrate him duly.
In my opinion, it had the quality to be a true classic. Betty, the powderfoot agrees with me, by the way. Too bad. No one asked us.

Coniferous Forest Magic
They were running barefoot through the deep, dark, Scandinavian coniferous forest when it started to rain.

They hadn't studied the weather report, they were too spontaneous and casual for that. It was Thursday evening and he had gotten off work early to surprise her. He wanted to show her the recently discovered surprise in a picturesque setting that had so far successfully hidden itself from any excursion tourism. A hidden natural gem.

A long walk brought her to the enchanting little forest lake with crystal clear water that reflected the sky in the most beautiful shades of blue-green. She marveled.
They could only enjoy the cooling in the water for a short while. Grey clouds were gathering, a thunderstorm was breaking over them. Before the rain poured down on them in torrents, they grabbed their clothes and ran. It felt like several more miles to their car.

"Ouch!" she contorted her face and stopped. The pine needles on the ground pricked her bare feet.
He turned around. His white T-shirt was completely soaked, his muscular body showing underneath. His dark, dripping curls hung down almost to his shoulders, his turquoise-blue sparkling eyes always mesmerizing her, as if the clear forest lake was still reflected in them. He pulled her to him and gave her a passionate kiss. They forgot the world around them in the downpour. The warm steam of the dark green forest rose through the soft moss of the earthy forest floor, hiding the two lovers from the curious eyes of the animals...

The fragrance starts aquatically fresh with bergamot, like jumping into cool water surrounded by the dense green of the forest. Patchouli brings the earthy note. The dark needles of the fir are dominant, woods can be guessed. The nuances of green tones are varied. Rose I can only smell out in the perfumed candle in the set, in the Eau de Cologne rather not, just as little as jasmine.
The durability is according to a Colognes like a short but intense rain shower that slowly fades. A balsamic resinous scent rises through the warm base like steam, this is due to the gentle incense.

It suits any person who appreciates green fresh scents. I find it light and unobtrusive, for all walks of life and forms of the day. He is neither sweet, nor tart, as the forest freshness needs no other ingredients, but works for itself in the beauty of nature.

"Wakening Woods of Scandinavia" is an apt description for a pleasant, calming scent without being overtly or necessarily perfumey. I've certainly fallen for it in its coniferous forest magic.

The bouquet.
"Today's the big day," she thought silently, walking slowly through the grand reception hall of her Victorian mansion, decorated with lush white flowers. She wore a cream satin blouse, precious gold jewelry, and dark pleated trousers. Elegance personified. Her heels clacked on the dark brown parquet floor.

Underneath the blouse, she also wore a heavy heart, though the occasion was actually a lovely one. Her daughter would be marrying a man she more than agreed with in a few hours. The future son-in-law proved to be sensible and reliable. He could provide a stable nest of love and security, so letting go was a little easier for her.

She herself had not always had it easy in her life. This was marked by pressure to perform, hard work and some strokes of fate. Success was just as much a part of it as a result. Through iron discipline, she had managed to continue the family empire and invest her wealth in charity projects, also to soothe her conscience a little. She always taught her children to show courtesy and kindness to everyone. Good manners and a sense of order were essential to her, discretion and professional distance important.

The staff had done a great job in a very short time, polishing the dark house to a shine. She walked through the pompously decorated premises one last time, checking the results. This she did only physically, in thought she was with her daughter, who now tore her from her inner movie. Before her stood the bride in an elegantly simple designer silk gown. Her hair was tied smoothly in a chignon, the floor length veil delicately flattering her uncovered arms. But the most beautiful thing about her was the excited glow.

"You are enchanting, but I still have something you are missing. Something that is perfect for you and what will immortalize the most beautiful day of your life into a lasting memory." With these words, she presented her daughter with her pretty glass bottle of Le Parfum by Elie Saab.
A floral cloud of orange blossom with minimal freshness enveloped the happy bride and her mother...

Le Parfum is often recommended for special occasions, such as a wedding, a visit to the theatre, a fine dinner. The fragrance is based on a certain opulence by the intensity.
The light sweetness accompanies through the most beautiful day of a woman or can make it her most beautiful day. For an evening on the couch, he is too overdressed, as a companion for the job rather dependent on the environment, outfit and dosage, as he acts quite loud. The sillage is room-filling. The shelf life is good with about 7 hours.

The fragrance is a rather mature women's fragrance, described by many as stale. Old-fashioned I do not feel him. I describe him like this: Pure elegance and classic. Sublime and refined. It emphasizes the femininity of a woman who knows her worth.

The top note of orange blossom is strong at first. It may need several attempts to make friends. The heart mixes jasmine and patchouli, the base soothes with sandalwood and sweet rose honey.
I don't detect much progression, no real depth. The fragrance remains dominantly floral and slightly sweet.

So the daughter walked down the aisle and became the happiest wife in the world. At an advanced hour, the bridal bouquet was to be thrown into the crowd of the unmarried, according to an old tradition. Only there the bride noticed that she had forgotten her bridal bouquet at home in the olfactory blossom rush by enchantment of the senses. So she decided to improvise and unceremoniously threw the bottle into the crowd of ladies willing to get married.

When the firmament chews gum
Sweet 19 I was when I first encountered this perfume in the drugstore. I was drawn to the beautiful bottle, which I turned in my hands for a long time and marveled at it. Deep dark blue glass with sun, moon and stars. The gold matte-glossy lid gave it that oriental magic. I wanted that one. I went by the logic of "If the bottle is pretty, then the fragrance can only be good!" At the time, the 100 ml was almost free. Several bottles I emptied.

At the time, I wore almost waist-length, light blond hair, thickened with what felt like two kilos of extensions, the natural summer tan further enhanced by self-tanner. Golden cowboy boots, golden chintzy accessories and a golden leather jacket. Stand out at any cost. "More is more", according to this belief, I also bathed in the contents of the beautiful flacon, the fragrance that announced me already 15 km in advance and kept uninvited guests at a distance.

So I strolled through Milan on a weekend trip. How proud I was to travel to the city of fashion and do some Windowshopping at the designer shops. Moreover, I marveled at how the real designer pieces punctuated their elegance with a certain minimalism that I didn't appreciate at the time. Old photos still remind me of that time and what perfume accompanied me there.
(I apologize at this point to the Italian city of fashion if it needs to air through to this day after my visit. My friends have already forgiven me.)

What immediately intrigued me about this perfume was the intense floral rush with a bubblegum note in the head and heart that I can't really place. There are one or two manufacturers who "tried" to copy the fragrance, however, I miss that bubblegum there that makes it so unique. Orchid, rose, jasmine, orange blossom. Pleasant sweetness. I can't define the fruits listed. It seems clear and coherent, despite the loud floral concert. The recognition value makes it an exotic. The sillage is room filling and strong. The scent lingers on clothes for several days after application. For an eau de toilette sensational.

Becoming an adult also has its advantages. One becomes more mature and is more responsible with his perfume dosage and the attentiveness in this regard to the fellow. I have understood that less can be more.

Despite the super duper drugstore offerings, I eventually got sick of my former signature scent because my nose didn't notice it myself. My surroundings breathed a grateful sigh of relief.

When I noticed that it had already been discontinued, I was overcome with melancholy and had to hunt again to test whether I still liked it. An opened 30 ml bottle was already traded at an outrageous price. It overcame me a regret, how wasteful I have dealt with the valuable Wässerchen at that time.
When I held this 30 ml bottle in my hands and sprayed it on, the old love sparked to new fire. Yes, I still love it, or rather love it again. The break did us good.

I'm older, realized that the battle against natural paleness cannot be won with self-tanner and excessive sunbathing. I quietly said thank you goodbye to opulent accessories and hair extensions years ago.
Sun Moon Stars, however, has remained timeless and beautiful. And still adapts today to new circumstances.

One spray is enough. It carries me on a balmy summer night in the distant fairy tale flowerland in the Orient, where the sun, moon and stars at night, -when everyone is asleep- make a betting game. I sway in the firmament in my golden cowboy boots and try to win the bet for the biggest bubble gum bubble until dawn.

Thank you to my favorite perfumer, Sophia Grojsman, for this unique gift to all who appreciate this treasure.

P.S. Grojsmann's Diamonds and Rubies by Eliszabeth Taylor comes pretty close to this scent, but here the gum has been swapped for lipstick
