Unfunny!
To say in advance: I am a fan of dry and woody scents. I am fascinated by these because they bring back memories of outdoor experiences for me.

However, if I get into this Bentley, then I remain somewhat perplexed. Boozy? Check! Woody? Check! Leather? Check!

But world, sorry: somehow the overall concept does not grab me. The entry is promising with a good shot of rum and inklings of the wooden barrels in which it was stored. But asbald already, this fragrance but becomes quite monosyllabic.

It then prevails a rather humorless and quite striking show of supposedly masculine attributes. Jaja, the leather jacket, whose owner eindieselt with this water, is well advised. Exactly the same was my thought. In my head came Komissar Schimanski, who stands lost in thought on the Duisburg quay wall and has a tricky case to solve.

And that's probably the problem: The fragrance reminds me of the 80s, of times long past, when incense notes combined with leather were still considered exotic. They join quite quickly and exude a vibe that seems too deliberate for my nose.

Rum, wood, leather, incense: and that in a combination that allows neither fruit nor other gimmicks? Reduce to the max, it was called yes once.

Reduced for me, however, also the fun. And Komissar Schimanski, with his show worn contrition, I never wanted to be. I like dry fragrances, I like dry humor, but the one or other Spritzerchen frivolous fruitiness may still be.

I, in any case, leave the Schimanski in his sweetened Ruhrpott-Romantik now stand alone and take off the antlered leather jacket.

Conclusion: Almost boring.

Laundry day at granny's
A sterilely tidy room. The floor, as well as the walls, are dressed in easy-to-clean tiles, of course in pure white. And right there in the middle of the room is a steaming wooden tub filled with hot water and kilos of portioned white laundry. In front of it is an old woman, who calmly makes ponderous courses in that very tub with her wooden spoon.

With this impression, the little water from Parma welcomes me: wash day at Omma. As she has always done... felt since 1916. The soap scent smells into the basement hallway and upstairs and awakens associations with purity, cleanliness and a certain order. If it weren't for a few spritzes from those little bottles that Grammy only recently got her hands on.

They were filled with a lemon oil and the other vial smelled just like some of the guests at the first hotel on the square. Grandma always admired them. For their smell, which for them was synonymous with luxury and money. And how did the guests not always rave about the clean-smelling bedclothes? So in with the vials in the wash...it couldn't hurt, she thought to herself.

And no, Grandma was right: these notes actually do not hurt, but they are also only able to cover up the vibe that regularly moves through her house when it's wash day again. Soap and uncompromising cleanliness is the measure of all things. The spicy scent of the wooden tub she perceived anyway only when she rinsed out the soap decoction...

Refreshing towel? Toilet scent? So an overly over-interpreted scent that warms to her great past? Well, I certainly wouldn't offer myself as a star witness in its defense, knowing that there certainly seem to be people who like that vibe. And they certainly get a great crafted fragrance.

For me, however, it's nothing. Like laundry day at Grandma's - as experimental as she may be set - no: I don't want to smell like that. But she also always airs properly. The pepped up soap scent has then also soon warped again... some find it a pity, the other not even so

A safe bank
Let's not kid ourselves: Youtubers are our new Douglas advisors - even before Corona. So it's no wonder that this fragrance is largely under the radar of German consumers. A German-language review I have in any case not yet found..

Too bad actually, because this fragrance seems cheap in the presentation (huh, deodorant?) and also the low price may feed reservations, but in reality it is a hidden champ!!!

And yes: it's an Aventur clone. And! a really good one! His (sorry!) balls may not be as thick as, say, Oliver Creed's or CDNIM's, but to use an image, he's the one who mostly stands in the corner during the party, yet ends up with the party belle's number on the back of his hand.

But to the fragrance: to start, the nose is greeted by a fresh citrusy accord that is neither pungent nor overly synthetic. Fresh. Just fresh, between lemon and pineapple. But quickly join smoky-woody tones, which give the fragrance experience a certain depth and angularity.

One or the other may know this impression of Aventus. Also here the same pattern. But Victor the 9th makes his thing thereby really well.... Admittedly, the power is another, but no aspect is overdone, no note is distorted beyond recognition. Simply an incredibly harmonious-spicy-fresh overall impression.

And that also does not warp so quickly. Although the end is after 6 to 7 hours, but before that the fragrance DNA hardly changes after the first 20 minutes. Linear, in other words. But if this linearity is a sparkling spicy effervescence like the Victor, then I can live with it very well.

As someone wrote before: I, too, could see this bottle as an Aventus flanker of the sporty kind. An easy-to-use imbiber...

I was recently approached at the supermarket by a perfect stranger at the pasta shelf, I smelled so good. Boy! This fragrance arrives!

Let's talk about the price: heavens! I can barely see it: 15 bows.

So, that was so: My journey through the world of fragrances does not even last that long. Two years ago, however, I started the search for "my" fragrance but finally. So I turned on the Internet, well, Aventus. What else? Not because Creed is a hot topic everywhere, but because I was interested in the olfactory profile. Well, exactly that! I like citrus and woody... But 250 bucks? Yes for God's sake?!

Alternatives were quickly Googled. And of course I had to suffer shipwreck. Insurrection II Pure was such a case... another, less disappointing: "Crush" from a Berlin dupe company (Asperias).

So, after all, treading well-trodden paths? Of course, I was already then CDNIM a term. But then I did not want to have it so simple. So: Supremacy Silver ordered. And what can I say? I felt I had arrived in the kingdom of the king. As a yardstick, by the way, served me a Creed sample here fromm Souk (thanks again!)

What can I say: There are given yes like percentages to prove similarities. I say times 90. NATURALLY the original is the decisive tick more natural, well-dosed and harmonious. But what do I care about the opinion of fragrance snobs?

It is an incredibly good blend, which one sprays there in the neck. The well-rounded opening with fresh zitrik and quite perceptible birch convinces at the first blow. Even later it becomes difficult to distinguish it from original. There is the wood, discreet floral borrowings and especially the freshness of bergamot, which dominates this krisp-funkelnde game between dark and light.

The drydown is pleasantly soft, but not weak. Woody, mossy and round.

And if that wasn't enough, the bottle is a feast for the eyes.

P.S.: I now know the CDNIM EDP and probably I would have been just as enamored then. But the throne must share the EDP with Supremacy Silver.

One of the best. Trust me: For this knowledge I had to pay some money to learn :-)

Fraternal twins
Have both the TDH EDT and the Arab half-brother Fattan on the shelf. Whereby: Half-brother actually does not quite fit. It is rather the fraternal twin, which perhaps does not quite carry the fine facial features as his brother - but in itself yet unmistakably the same DNA.

Both mastered to start the game between orange effervescence and the earthy serenity. Where the original perhaps yet looks here and there around a few more corners and exudes the Mediterranean air a little more, the twin builds entirely on citric and soil. Very invigorating and perhaps in one or the other situation not even wrong.

Most definitely not wrong is the staying power of Fattan. Because while TDH gradually descends into the (admittedly unattainable) drydown, still the fresh citrusy chords of the brother sparkle through the woody, green and mossy underground. A true endurance runner he is, the Arab.

He can't hide his close kinship. No, his twin brother is still the master student and he only the docile student. One, however, who has done his homework and knows what to do to please. For offering himself for a fraction, he gets a diligence point.

Conclusion: clear buy recommendation!
