Casino Elixir vs. Casino Elixir 2.0
One thing in advance: The high Berwertung for the bottle is the red 100ml Special Edition, which I own.

If you sort the offer of all fragrances on the homepage of "The Dua Brand" by "best selling", a fragrance always appears at number 1: Casino Elixir. So why did it need a version 2.0 ? In addition I would like to give you here an overview.

Both are in principle very nice fragrances, although I would see the CE 2 something in front. In CE 1 dominates the Baccarat Rouge with a slight addition of the notes of Creed Aventus, in CE 2 it is exactly the opposite. As a result, CE 2 is smokier. Most importantly, and I didn't necessarily expect this, the pineapple comes out much stronger in CE 2. CE 1, on the other hand, has the sweet, sugary saffron note of the blush in the nose almost from the start, smoke and pineapple are in the background and subsequently recede further and further, but without disappearing completely. In the CE 2 smoke and especially the pineapple remain present throughout the course, the fragrance is gradually sweeter by the Baccarat influence, but the difference from the beginning is minimal.

Now let's get to the serious difference between the two versions, and that is the performance. First, the durability: I did the comparison test, took T-shirt here, three sprays of CE 1 on the left sleeve, three sprays of CE 2 on the right. 24 hours later the CE 1 was at most still to be guessed, 48 hours later practically gone. CE 2 is even 72 hours after spraying still well perceptible on the shirt. Version 2.0 is thus considerably more durable.

Now to the sillage: unlike CE 1, CE 2 has Ambroxan crystals and Iso-E-Super on board. And this is more than noticeable. The sillage of CE 2 is brutal. Even after 4 hours, there's still a pineapple cloud wafting up your nose from time to time. CE 1, on the other hand, becomes skin deep after 60, 90 minutes at the latest. This is true not only for myself, but also for third parties, as I have had confirmed. Even if I spray on four times the amount of CE 1, I do not get the sillage of version 2.0. If you consider that both versions have the concentration "extract", the difference is really enormous, and with a view to CE 1 also somewhat disappointing.

Verdict: Casino Elixir is a great fragrance, but its own version 2.0 beats it on all counts. I will use up my 100ml Special Edition, and only rebuy Casino Elixir 2.0.

I hope this little comparison could make the purchase decision easier for one or the other.

The cardamom bomb
Right off the bat, I've never smelled the 2010 version of LNDL that this fragrance is supposed to be based on, only the current version. I sprayed on Midnight Rendezvous and thought a little later: "Yes, smells pretty much like my LNDL". However, the two fragrances are not as equal as I would have thought from the first impression.

I own a filling of the current YSL La Nuit de L'Homme as well as a sample of the normal "L'Homme" in addition to Dua Midnight Rendezvous. So I sprayed the former on a t-shirt for comparison. One squirt of MR on the left sleeve, two squirts of YSL LNDL on the right. What I noticed immediately, and even more as I went on, was that the current LNDL is noticeably fresher than MR (which is probably what user Carpintero means by "watered down"). The bergamot comes out more in the LNDL and the scent goes much more in the direction of the regular L'Homme than the Dua version. With MR, on the other hand, the freshness quickly fades into the background and a thick cloud of cardamom comes at you. "Extrait de Parfum" says it all here, because it really smells like an extract of the sweet and spicy part of the current LNDL. And that is at the same time the reason for the significantly better performance of the MR: 36 hours later, the original LNDL on the shirt was almost no longer perceptible, that MR against it still clearly.

Who likes the LNDL in its current version and just wants to have better durability, can in principle just stay with the original and spray on more or add more. However, I clearly prefer the "cardamom bomb" of Dua

The fresh insider tip
Take out the tonka bean in Chanel Allure Home Sport Extreme and add the opening of Versace pour Homme. That's pretty much what Missoni Wave smells like. It's a very classic shower gel scent for everyday / sports / leisure with a solid sillage that I don't even notice on myself after about 90 minutes. On the skin it lasts a total of about 7 hours, which is decent for a fragrance of this variety. He does not develop thereby great. This all sounds perhaps at first little spectatkulär. The beating argument for this perfume, however, is the price-performance ratio. You can usually get 100 milliliters for under 30 euros, and for that Missoni Wave is in my opinion a real steal. The fragrance I like even slightly better than the "big" AHS Eau Extreme, and especially significantly better than the comparably priced Versace pour Homme.

The bottle is very beautiful, by the way. Matching the name in turquoise blue held and provided with a magnetic metal cap.

Who likes fresh shower gel fragrances, which I can warmly recommend to ride this "wave" times

Spicy winter wonder
Who can do something with sweet, spicy scents, which must have tested this one at least. Cinnamon and vanilla geppart with various other spices, especially the pepper is clearly perceptible to me. The sillage and especially the durability are incredible, the latter with me easily 10+ hours and survives in doubt even a shower. What a power. I personally like it even better than the highly praised (and by no means bad) PdM Layton. Now considering the lower price in comparison, Spicebomb Extreme is my clear favorite for winter. In autumn it also works great, for spring and summer it is definitely nothing. Because of the growing popularity and the associated distribution, I'm not worried, because unlike other bestsellers such as Versace Eros or Creed Aventus (including clones) I have never smelled this fragrance anywhere

Synthetic coconut broth
This fragrance I had to wash off again, which is really rare for me. As has been described here by others, it has virtually nothing in common with the normal Cool Water. In the opening still quite fresh, the sweetness is still within the framework. After 5 minutes, the freshness decreases significantly and a nauseatingly sweet, extremely synthetic coconut note emerges, like a sugary coconut chewing gum, so to speak. High headache factor. The smell reminds me of Montblanc Legend Spirit (which is supposed to be an imitation of Invictus Aqua, which I've never smelled myself), but even more synthetic and much sweeter. And that's saying something, because the Montblac already smells pretty synthetic.

The original Cool Water I quite like, but the Intense is to run away.
