Fragrance notes: The good, the iffy, and the icky IMO

FAVOR: Mild, low-pitched, green, citric, floral, and resin scents; old-fashioned chypres.

GOOD: Acacia, Amber, Angelica, Artemisia (Wormwood), Balsam, Basil, Blackberry, Black Currant (Cassis), Cade, Caramel, Cardamom, Castoreum, Citron, Civet, Clover, Coffee, Coumarin, Cucumber, Datura, Fig, Frangipani, Green Tea, Hazelnut, Immortelle (Everlasting Flower), Iso E Super, Lavender, Leather, Lemon, Linden, Mint, Musk, Myrrh, Oak Moss, Opopanax, Orange Blossom, Pineapple, Powder, Praline, Rose de Mai, Rosemary, Sandalwood, Strawberry, Sweet Grass (dried), Tangerine, Tiare, Tonka, Vetiver, Ylang-Ylang, Yuzu.

IFFY: Aldehydes, Almond, Aquatic (Marine), Carnation, Cedar, Cinnamon, Cocoa, Coconut, Fern, Galbanum, Gardenia, Geranium, Grapefruit, Heliotrope, Honeysuckle (anosmic?), Incense, Iris, Jasmine, Lilac, Lily, Lily-of-the-Valley, Patchouli, Peony, Pepper, Rose, Tea, Tuberose, Vanilla, Violet.

ICKY: Anise, Apple, Cloves, Coriander, Ginger, Honey, Licorice, Melon, Metallic, Smoke; Spices in general, virtually all Orientals.

BLECH OR BLAH: Almost all modern, mainstream department store frags.
