The call from the deep
First of all, I would like to express my admiration for Houbigant.
The story is moving, partly tragic, embarrassing but also hopeful.
THE quality that these fragrances have in this day and age is more than remarkable.

Let's move on to the latest collection from the house of Houbigant which promises a fragrance journey through the Orient.
I have tested them all and must say it was not promised too much.
The fragrances are high quality, all tell their own story, are oriental but also gentle enough for my Central European nose.

The Ambre des Abysses has pleased me from the series best.
He starts wonderfully fresh-tart with a clear mint and a not oversweet orange blossom, the bergamot holds back distinguished.
The patchouli comes in quite quickly, but seems very clean and not earthy.
Fabulously beautiful ambered herbs and a buttery leather paired with oakmoss form the stable foundation of this fragrance.
What I particularly like about this fragrance is the durability and the sillage, which is perfect for me.
It lasts forever on me, the sillage is exactly how I want it: you are smelled, from a distance only very gently, close up clearly without overwhelming.

A wonderful fragrance.
