A unique & modern take on leather!
Revolución is such unique take on leather in scents. I get the classic tuscan leather vibe, the leather you know from other very famous and loved main stream fragrances but there is this metallic/ ozonic almost fresh aspect in it which acts like quite a contrast to the heavy dense leathery facet.

Overall, I really am digging this due to the light that the fragrance brings to the otherwise dark and rugged leather scent. Again, If you like leather in fragrances but are bored of what’s on the market, I think Revolución will put a smile on your face every time you spray it on. I recommend sampling it.

Oud dipped in dark roasted chocolate wrapped around some incense.
Gold Spot is a bold & sensual scent that screams confidence but is also soft and cocooning at the same time. I smell quite some oud (very nutty & animalic) in the scent’s core but it’s very well balanced with a decent dose of sweet, buttery, dark chocolate note. It’s not overpowering in any possible way. Neither on the oud part nor on the sweetness part. All of this is wrapped in a great doze of orange blossom, which adds a lot of character to the scent. Another thing that stands out both in Luodo and Gold Spot is the use of cypriol oil, which gives the scent some oomph!

The oud chocolate opening quickly dries down into a dense woody and creamy scent that feels like a warm hug. Where Luodo is a bigger, more serious Oud more for the connoisseur’s Gold Spot is more accessible due to the added sweetness where all the edges are shaved off.

Overall, Gold Spot is a promising scent if you like Chris Maurice’s DNA in scents. If you are an oud lover, then I can recommend sampling Gold Spot and Luodo both.

Warm light on a shimmering calm lake, time had stood still.
Encore du Temps is a warm fruity floral fragrance with darkness in the background.

It opens with a blast of citrus/fruitiness almost orange/ mandarin mixed with some citrusy nuances. All wrapped around calming and warm notes of tea and a lot of florals. I get an apricot-like smell in the initial hour or two maybe even slightly milky with leathery nuances. It probably comes from the Osmanthus. Champaca is another flower that really stands a lot in the fragrance. Very rich, luscious, and heady. Then there is a contrast with the darkness that Meo is known to add to this fragrance. To me, it's some incense or maybe even the warmth of benzoin along with a lot of woody/ creaminess of sandalwood. The initial hours do remind me of a whiff of warm fruity tea feel with some earthy nuances and then it's the complete magic that you are aware of from Meo's work such as Narcotico, Little Song etc.

Overall, To me, the fragrance has a yellow/ warm undertone from the start and to the end. It's almost like a ray of light just after a dark/ stormy night. To me, it's a fragrance of hope. It feels like Meo really knows how to stop time and Encore du Temps really does that. It's something just to be experienced. I am glad to have done that and I can only recommend you to sample this.

A walk in an enchanted garden!
Feuille takes me an old hunt, covered with moss, a house nature has been very kind to deep inside a jungle where not many people manage to go. Feuille is green, warm slightly metallic and very unique.

I had a chance to sit with the Perfumer and founder of MISKEO Parfums Marie & the evaluator Pep (aka @TheScentinel) to discover Feuille, the latest launch from the brand!

Do let me know your thoughts on it.

What would space smell like?
The fragrance artfully weaves together musky & powdery notes to craft a fragrance that is not only crisp and clean-smelling but also incredibly versatile. The composition embraces a blend of ambrette seeds, bergamot, iris, peach, musk, and tonka bean.⁣

Musc Pallas opens with a delicate interplay between soft ambrette and juicy bergamot. The ambrette, also known as musk mallow, sets the tone with its soft and inviting muskiness, while the bergamot lends a bright and zesty facet, immediately capturing the senses. As the fragrance evolves, the heart notes of iris and peach join the symphony, bringing a touch of floral elegance and a hint of juicy nuances. There is so much warmth and hints of sweetness in the base that almost smells like benzoin.⁣

I had the pleasure to sit with François Hénin, Founder & Creative Director of JOVOY Paris and speak about Musc Pallas and everything around musc and other ingredients. Hope you will enjoy this as much as I did. Let me know in the comments. I really appreciate it.
