Horrible opening and brilliant drydown
Strange fragrance. The opening is horrible, the smell recalls something similar to bubble gum, but an awful one, like rotten. Instead the drydown is absolutely lovely, that mix of tonka bean and wood.

I give it a 4 because a fragrance that stinks while has some projection and then turns good when is only noticeable on skin is a fail.

It´s amazing that a fragrance can be so good and so awful at the same time. Such a shame.

Uncommon scent
I got a sample of this fragrance because of its Nettle accord. I don´t like all those mainstream scents, that are fine in the best case, but lack originality, are boring and let you with that feeling of me-too.

So I give credit to Dunhill for this nice and different fragrance. Once said that, the scent itself is dominated by this nettle accord. It´s delicate and pleasant, nobody is going to dislike it. But it´s not something that makes you fall in love.

The aroma of nettle in this fragance is faint with an slightly sweet, very slightly salty, pleasant, herbaceous smell. It brings good vibes, but this may not be the scent someone looks for in a fragrance. That´s why I give it just a 6. It´s good and different, but it doesn´t drive me crazy.

Sillage is mild, definitely this fragrance is for self enjoyment. Longevity is low, as everybody else has said. Great bottle.

Fresh, elegant, professional
This is a very good fresh scent. It´s somewhat generic, but it´s hard to stand out within fresh fragances. Yet it has its own distinctive touch thanks to the combination of bergamot, cardamom and rhubarb, that makes a noticeable mix and gives that point of differentiation.

So far it´s the best business fragrance I know. It evokes the image of a director, someone smart, elegant, with a professional look, but at the same time cool, sharp, quick of mind.

I really like this stuff, I didn´t expect anything so good for this price.

Burning flowers and tomato leafs
To me this fragrance smells like an aromatic bouquet of flowers and tomato leafs and wood shaving, those accords in the notes list, that is set on fire. Plants and flowers won´t ignite a bonfire, but they burn slowly.

And so you have the scent of the fresh flowers, wood and leafs still not burnt combined with the smoke from those burning. This smoke of course has the smell of plant burning smoke, if you burn plastic the smell is totally different, you know what I mean, right? For me is smoky-floral.

And then it is an strong fragrance, as everybody else said, no doubt. Generally speaking arab fragrances are strong and rather sweet.

It is very interesting indeed, but I am not sure if this is the kind of scent you want in a fragrance. I don´t imagine in which occasion could wear it. I´d say that this is for smoky-style lovers.

The ugly duckling
It opens with an scent not very promising, but it improves a bit when the heart accords show up and finish with an spectacular drydown, that patchouli mixed with tonka is damn good.

Still I rate just 5, I don´t think that a good drydown only qualifies for a good grade.

It´s a pity this opening. This fragrance is the exact opposite of Lanvin Èclat d´Arpège pour Homme that has an amazing opening and then slip through the cracks. A mix of the good qualities of these two would be incredible.
