I don´t like Tuberose
Okey, it´s very subjective and this regards only my preference but even if tuberose is such an expensive and luxurious flower, it just does not click with me.
The same is with Carnal Flower from FM, even if it´s done to perfection by Master Ropion, I can´t smell it.
Honor 43 is of course not just that, it has a complexity of notes which allows it to be more than just "another tuberose" scent. But still, it is hard to grasp if you are .. under 30, I would say.
It´s like spraying Diaghilev from ROJA on an 18 years old man, it simply does not add up.
The performance is great and the presentation too, but for what you get, the retail price is a massive cash grab.

Why is that Liquorice bomb in there, why ?
I am a big fan of tobacco and I only heard good things about it so I decided to get a sample and see what all the buzz is about.
This is a Smoky-Spicy fragrance, created by Cécile Zarokian which also made Ani from Nishane which I hate.
The scent has notes like Aniseed, Cardamom, Elemi resin and Liquorice and is a very spicy and smoky scent, complex and thick like Cecile Zarokian liks to create.
- It is a first smell for me, I never tried it before and will avoid it like the plague in the future.

By the Fireplace from Replica, but very distant cousin.
Longevity / Silage
Given the scent DNA, it lasted over 12 hours on my skin after using the original sample.
Versatility: For me is 0, if you do not hate Liquorice then all the time, because it has a friendly scent profile, even if spicy.
Seasons: It will shine in the colder months.
Score: 8 / 10 – If you love complex scents, this is for you. The scent DNA is not unique, but it´s done well and lasts very long.

Direct inspiration and 30% more ?
So, it is no secret that some of the famous Terenzi creations smell like established scents from the Market .. I am looking at you Kirké and Bürdel !
So, the V Canto line was not under my radar at all, and the bottles are not easy to find or test, therefore a blind buy for not such a good rated line is not an option.
I got some nice samples for Giambellino, Guercino and Misiarte and after I tried this highly rated Naxos wannabe, I had to write a review ... like a first impression, actually.
It does smell similar to Naxos, much more floral and less honey like .. the scent is an absolute joy to wear and I would consider buying a bottle of this, as the scent profile is very nice and airy.
But where it hits me hard is the price: 315€ at the time of writing this review !
I mean, come on Cereria Terenzi .. you copy a scent which was copied originally from Pure Havane from Mugler.
Only God knows why L´Oreal decided to kill the Mugler brand and discontinue everything from there .. but that played well in the end for Xerjoff. I know that Mazzolari has a copy paste scent for Naxos and now V Canto too?
I see no point in this release, as we already have Naxos at 245€ for the 100ml still, who is this for .. maybe V Canto knows something I don´t.
A versus with Naxos will follow soon.

Oman is coming for you
I found out about the new releases from OmanLuxury since a while but I only got the chance now to try a sample and what a scent this is, I am very excited to tell you more about it.
FRAGRANCE FAMILY:

It is very exquisite smell, oriental to it´s core
- Merchant fleets carrying precious goods from Oman to the land of Pharaohs, the Sumerians, the Roman empire, the Kingdom Of Sheba and other civilizations.
- Voyage carries within, a vintage essence of exotic spices and incense that once were traded with crates of gold. Voyage is a masculine smoky and mature fragrance that will garner compliments.
Reminds me of ? Amouage – Myths Man, but smoother and smokier.
Longevity / Silage: As much as such a thick, lovely scent can project. The longevity is stellar, and you will surely be noticed wearing this.
Versatility: You can use this scent all the times, everywhere.
Seasons: All seasons, but will shine in the cold. Dressed up.
Score: 10 / 10 – If you love smoky scents, this is for you. I am in danger of ordering a bottle right away, what a scent, guys!

Some things in life, aren´t things
But, are memories for which we are open to pay a certain amount of money.
I remember when I sprayed this around 2012 .. it was such an experience for my nose to be introduced into the world of Dior Homme.
Of course, I got the Intense version straight away, because .. INTENSE = better, right ? : ) But still, the DHO was the one scent making me sniff my wrist on and on.
I had a bottle, then sold it, then bought again and sold it .. and I think it´s one of those scents which even if you do not wear them often due to the number of scents in the collection, it gives such a good mood to know it´s there and can be used whenever the melancholy comes back.
The 2020 DH is equally nice and woody, but not as special as this one was for me in 2012.
