How can a lemon smell so good?
Of course, citrussy fragrances can start with "Kölnwasser" the so called Eau de Cologne with Neroli and Petitgrain and go up to the Guerlain Bergamot Fantastico .. both in longevity and price.

What can be said about this smell, it is quite unique but also familiar in the same time, the bergamot will steal the show, the petitgrain makes it stable and the amber keeps things cool.

Longevity about 16 hours, with one shower and many times washing the hands.

By no mean the price is for us, the mortals .. but for the selected few which will get one of these bottles, it will be a scent to remember.

One should not reinvent the wheel
The citrussy aromatic genre, maybe called barbershop, maybe called fougere .. is and will always be a loved manly scent, no matter how quick you discovered it or how young you are.

I must admit that when I was 20, I believed that Habit Rouge smells like an old man and even if I blind bought it, it was not a successful purchase.

The same happened with Nicolai, NY Intense .. I made the order before I had the chance to smell it and what a surprise was waiting for me .. It is performing like an Amouage and smells like an airy french barbershop scent.

The complexity is original to Nicolai, and even if it is similar to others from the market .. is by no mean a copy. I hope you will enjoy the video, thank you.

Some perfumes are just emotions
This is one of them, because even after smelling countless perfumes, I got so impressed with it.

It has an airy allure to it, which makes it easy to wear but also easy to love. I have only a sample now but I am looking for a bottle already.

Orange blossom, patchouli, jasmine .. are notes which I am crazy about and they are here too. The perfumers have done a magical thing and I am glad Houbigant "still got it".

Welcome to this world !
I found out about the new release from OmanLuxury since a while but I only got the chance now to try a sample and what a scent this is, I am very excited to tell you more about it.

The perfumer behind this beauty is non other than Hamid Merati-Kashani..
Quite productive, he launched Layton, Althair, King Blue and many more gems so he knows what´s up.

- This is a floral-powdery perfume which was an instant love for me, it is sweet, flowery and with a wonderful coffee note inside.
- The perfumer knows how to make a beautiful sweet vanilla scent to fill a room and impress.

It does remind me of Noir de Noir TF, Ardent – Boadicea and Onyx - ATH. Therefore the originality is not really its strong suit.

Longevity / Silage: As much as such a thick, lovely scent can project. The longevity is stellar, and you will surely be noticed wearing this.

Versatility: You can use this scent all the times, everywhere as long as there are not 38 degrees Celsius outside, then a Neroli based would be a better choice.

Seasons: All seasons, but will shine in the cold. Dressed up.

Score: 9 / 10 – If you love leather scents, this is for you. The points taken are for originality. But it´s so well done, I love it.

Indigo is the new blue?
Lalique Encre Indigo, is a sequel to Encre Noire — the iconic men's fragrances launched in 2007 and created by Natalie Lorson.

I do wonder why was it not developed further by her, the Encre Noir extreme was very strong, in comparison to this one. The other Encre Flankers are very particular, but this one can become the mainstream darling of Lalique for men.

What does it remind of? Ombre Noire, but less boozy / strong.
Longevity / Silage: Not too great, within one hour is close 2 skin.
Versatility: Very versatile, a scent to spray all the times, no worries
Price: Too high, but it´s normal for launch. Will go down for sure – ok.

The final score now is: 8 / 10 – I find it very creative, not your typical blue scent, with inky notes, vetiver and brewed black tea. If it will macerate and last as long as OMBRE Noire, than it´s a 9 / 10.
