Who has read my comment to the Mundaka, knows that I bought both fragrances in a pack of 2 for 9,99€. After I already liked Mundaka (even though I was dissatisfied with the shelf life), it's now Teahupoo's turn. Previous users have already mentioned the naming.. so it only remains for me to say that Zara has chosen a surfspot here as well.

Similar to Mundaka, his Tahitian brother starts off very citrically fresh. In contrast to the Basque Zara creation, this freshness lasts longer. In the heart, very clean aquatic notes come through before the fragrance takes on a fruity wood note. This remains then (for Zara very unexpectedly) laaaaaange on. Skin types can project shelf life differently, so I'm talking about my experience now. Applied at 18:30 I was able to perceive the fragrance after a long evening in different restaurants on my wrist the next morning. On the T-shirt he can be smelled even 20h later still well. WOW - that really surprises. That Zara can create beautiful scents (based on well-known mainstream flankers) was well known, but this performance by Teahupoo is a very welcome surprise.

For me this is the biggest olfactory surprise of my career so far and I am very happy to have made this blind purchase. Here, too, the extremely suitably designed flacon convinces with its colour scheme.

There's nothing cheap about this scent. Performance, fragrance and bottle have nothing to do with a unit price of 14€. Now that I've tested both fragrances, I'd like to make an unqualified recommendation for the double pack. I don't make comparisons to Invictus at this point, but enjoy another cocktail and enjoy the scent of Teahupoo.

Mundaka - a small former fishing village in the Spanish Basque Country. Worldwide known by - what else - surfing. The 400m wide waves attract athletes from all over Europe. Matching the combination fragrance Teahupoo a surf spot was chosen here again for the naming.

Purchased for 9.99€ in a double pack with Teahupoo via the Zara Onlineshop. One has here for approx. 5€ an 80ml EdT.. may one still expect much there? Despite the low price I had a certain expectation due to the fragrances. I have not been disappointed by Zara so far and here it should be a revelation again.

The fragrance starts with a very strong citrus note including bergamot. After a short time, an aquatic heart note comes to the fore, which is quite white to please. Matching the Basque surf spot. What follows is a fresh, earthy vetiver note that dominates the rest of the fragrance. The whole thing pollinates the rest of the room for 20 minutes before remaining relatively close to the skin for another 2-3 hours. From this point on, the spray should be applied again. With this price and Zara's experience, this was to be expected and poses no problem.

Recommended for hot summer days and, due to the P/L ratio, an alternative to the citrus scents normally found. The vetiver freshness is perfect at high temperatures and fits into the Basque image of Mundaka. The shelf life on the skin is of course not the bang and the Sillage starts a little too penetrating, but this is to be borne with the price. The deep blue bottle is also very summery, reminiscent of the high waves before Mundaka.

So there he was. The moment I bought my first fragrance from Zara. It was a hot, sultry day at 32 degrees Celsius in the Börsenstraße, Frankfurt am Main. Not necessarily the best conditions for a dry fragrance containing woods and leather.

I didn't know what to expect. How can a fragrance convince with a price of 10€/100ml? How much synthetics is in it?

Scent#1 starts greenish and woody. After the first hour a very stylish leathery musk appears, which lasts for about 5-6 hours. The Sillage remains unchanged. He is and remains very close, which in my eyes brings him ideally into the race for an autumn scent for initially cold office days. Synthetics? Maybe a little. What predominates here is a beautiful, dry cardamom leather scent with light woods. Hence the similarity to the sandalwood model Santal33.

The bottle is simple but still beautiful and is perfect for autumn due to its colour scheme.

So what remains of my expectation? Zara can offer inexpensive, high-quality fragrances in plain flacons! The shelf life is fine with 7-8 hours and the Sillage can be formed according to desire by after-spraying. With this price one sprays gladly after, because Scent#1 is a well-being smell.

Not so exclusive in price but nevertheless it spreads carefree summer vibes between citric fruits and wooden palms.

We are dealing with a summer fragrance that has an average shelf life for unbelievably little money and comes across as extremely fresh. The resemblance to DHC is not to be denied but nevertheless we do it wrong when we put it in the shade of the great Dior fragrance. Because this can also be sprayed at high temperatures and has a similar Sillage.

The interplay between bitter grapefruit and sweet mandarin simply fits into the (for me) most beautiful time of the year. A chic, blue bottle with a Mercedes star as lid is a perfect match. In the further course the woods and vervain appear, which results in a stylish finish.


Definitely for everyone to recommend unreservedly. For the warm hours in the spare time, vacation or everyday life wonderfully suitably, this is a Preisknaller which looks for its Gleichen.

Now that I accepted the fragrance as a gift, expectations were low. Unfortunately, the expectations were met exactly.

0815 Shower gel scent... Sauvage looks like a refined masterpiece. This is where mainstream meets synthetics of the finest quality.

Has absolutely nothing to do with the original bottle and can therefore not be used as a comparison.

The flacon is well known and quite respectable in colour.

Durability on clothing is actually very long lasting.. unfortunately.

Sillage in the lower midfield. Sufficient for 1-2 hours... afterwards hardly perceptible for others.

With all mainstreamhate.. then 8000x dear Sauvage!
