Long name, but quick effect
The Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue pour Homme Eau Intense. Even while pronouncing this name, many a head note seems to have evaporated. A long name for a perfume with a very fast effect.

The Light Blue Intense - shortened here for simplicity's sake - starts out really fresh and summery. The top note smells like a delicious cocktail on the beach, you want more of it.
In the heart note it then becomes a little more reserved. It's like jumping into the sea with your cocktail and then swimming for 5-6 hours. From time to time you perceive your cocktail through the salty and watery breeze.

A perfect summer perfume for anything over 25 degrees, better still over 30 degrees. This fragrance simply refreshes and fits perfectly to summer, sun, sunshine!

The shelf life is very good for an aquatic and fresh perfume, in my case easily over 8 hours. This is more than good for a fresh fish and puts some sweet and spicy scents in your pocket.

All in all, a summer scent par excellence, but which has problems to develop properly below 25 degrees. But he doesn't have to, as he is a specialist in his field.

A blan(c)kes perfume
The artificial scent of Lacoste Blanc is written on the chest. Everything smells a number too artificial and too deliberate. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful spring and summer scent, which always sprays a "fresh laundry vibe" and thus makes good mood.

You are welcome to try it yourself: Put on a freshly washed top, put two or three sprayers of Lacoste Blanc on it and you'll smell like fresh from the laundromat. And dry the whole thing without washing! ;)

The opening is deliciously summery fresh due to the grapefruit, which however fades away after about half an hour. The floral scents and an appropriate sillage in the heart note make it stand out from other shower fragrances and are therefore a good alternative in the low-budget segment of designer fragrances. In the base note you can smell something slightly woody, but this is no longer worth mentioning, as the fragrance becomes directly skin-tight after the 3-4 hour heart note.

So for me it's worth an investment as a change in spring and summer or whenever you feel like having "fresh laundry vibes". Also for the reason that it is relatively cheap to buy.

Would you like some pepper with your bergamot?
This fragrance was one of my first - and still has a firm place on the shelf today. The top note smells like a freshly cut bergamot, to which one adds plenty of pepper. Insanely good!

The Dior Sauvage is an all-rounder and is actually suitable for every occasion and every season. Actually

For me the scent is a little too strong in summer, which is probably due to the Ambroxan. From temperatures of 25 degrees and upwards it simply doesn't smell right to me, there are better suited scents

However, it should be emphasized that the eau de toilette is much fresher than the eau de parfum. This makes the fragrance less obtrusive, as it also mixes the artificial ambroxan smell with the pepper and bergamot better.

All in all for me a good allrounder between 10 and 25 degrees with a reasonable durability and sillage, otherwise there are better alternatives.

Wow, he's way too cute! Or... isn't he?
Wow! - that was my first impression when I sampled this scent in the shop. But this "Wow! moment" was rather negative at first. The scent really killed me with its top note - paper-sweet and a nuance too much chewing gum smell. So I left the bottle on the shelf and turned my attention to other fragrances

Still, I couldn't get the Ultra Male out of my head... something good was probably left in my memory and was burned into my olfactory disk. So I decided to test the smell on my arm at the next opportunity

No sooner said than done, I sprayed the scent on my wrist the next time I visited the local shop and in the meantime took a little stroll through the city. In the first half hour the top note hit me again, but what followed was the reason for my purchase!

After the first half hour, after the top note had settled, I noticed a great sweet but also fruity mixture. The pear makes this heart note more distinctive than any other sweet perfume before. Wow! - this time in a positive sense.

After 3-4 hours of strolling, the heart note was still perceptible like the hours before. What a weird performance and sillage! This was the reason why I bought the fragrance immediately afterwards.

In conclusion, I find the top note a bit too overwhelming. During the first half hour you feel as if you are sticking two extremely sweet chewing gum dragees up your nose. But after this half hour 8-12 hours of pure pampering for the olfactory senses follow. A great mixture of pear, tonka bean and vanilla, simply delicious.

And, by the way: this fragrance is a compliment getter par excellence, compliments without end!

A walk across the orange field with an incense candle in your hand
This fragrance is the perfect introduction to the world of oud for me. After several tests with the Tom Ford Oud Wood, I was looking for an alternative that offers a little more depth and ideally is even cheaper. I found both together with the Versace Oud Noir!

The opening is similar to that of the Tom Ford Oud Wood, nice peppery and partly a medical oud smell. But the top note fades relatively fast after 15-20 minutes.

The heart note is the highlight of this fragrance. It smells deliciously fruity of juicy orange with a blend of incense and light oud wood. So for me it's not a twin of the Tom Ford Oud Wood, as it never gives off fruity notes. The sillage is not strong, but average. The fragrance releases its heart note well over 3-4 hours before it gets close to the skin.

The base note then fades away dark and woody, a mixture of incense and a slight oud smell.

Unfortunately, just like the Tom Ford Oud Wood, the scent does not last very long. After 5-6 hours the (scent)fun is already over.

For me it is nevertheless a great oud beginner's fragrance and as an alternative to the Tom Ford Oud Wood it is worth a try due to its fruity heart note!
