Elegant lily scent
Splendor by Elizabeth Arden was like so many things again a blind purchase from me. A blind purchase, which I have not regretted. Splendor came in 1998 on the market, but I did not know the fragrance yet. At that time, in contrast to today, floral fragrances were quite modern. I do not go with the fashion, I still like this kind of fragrances.
Splendor is supposed to start with fruity notes of pineapple and apple, but I don't notice anything of that. With me, the white bloomers start right through, freesia and hyacinth. I'm not sure if I recognize the scent of the blue-rain, because I only know what it looks like, but I can't quite remember the scent. I'm guessing along the lines of whiteflower. Everything over all dominates with me the lily and I love the smell of lilies.
A little jasmine and lily of the valley join in and a little more magnolia.
Wonderful this sea of flowers. Such fragrances are hardly launched nowadays. Too daring this blossom abundance, Bonbondüfte are rather in demand.
The base holds back discreetly, so is only minimally woody and animalic. I smell there still the strongest sandalwood out.
The durability is in the upper middle range and the sillage also.
I find this fragrance great and very elegant and have immediately stocked up with another bottle.
A fragrance for people who like very floral scents and can do well with lilies.

Fruit florets
Cassandra Rose Intense is a fragrance of the French brand Jeanne Arthes, which brings quite nice acceptable fragrances in the lower price segment herrausbringt.
I have so far only this one fragrance of this brand, and that has me quite positively convinced.
Can well be that I still test one or the other fragrance of this brand if the opportunity should arise.
Cassandra Rose intense fits into the clean fresh rose fragrances in the manner of Chloe and Co.
However, it is by no means a fragrance twin of classic Chloe EdP, this is a bit more soapy and also not Roses de Chloe, this is much rosier than Cassandra Rose intense.
But similarities to S. Oliver for her I can definitely see.
Cassandra Rose intense comes across as a rosy fresh scent with a slight fruity note.
I smell a light fresh rose out of it (there are many different kinds of fragrant rose blossoms), fruity wrapped in lychee fruit. Some white-flowered blossoms still play along like freesia. Lily of the valley I can't hear any. The cedar still seems to give the scent a "tangy" touch. The sillage is quite good at first and I'm also quite happy with the mid-range longevity. Overall, I find Cassandra Rose Intense to be a well-done fragrance for everyday wear and for those who like only light fresh scents. I wear him from time to time quite happy as Abwechsslung to my many heavier calibers.

Illuminating and radiant
2020 was a difficult year for all of us.
Many things happened and divided the world. Many victims and many sick. Reason enough for sadness, for humility but also for reflection and peace.
Instead, there is ranting, grumbling, arguing for all it's worth. Everyone else is to blame, only we ourselves are not.
In such times you need a fragrance that can cheer up. Something peaceful and reconciling.
A fragrance that has a calming effect.
Such a fragrance is for me Euphoria.
It has never been a fragrance that, when I first sniff it, immediately makes me whoop with rapture and goes straight into the shopping basket.
He unfolds his pleasant and calm radiation only when wearing itself.
He is not even something special or even a masterpiece. But good and solidly made Euphoria is in any case.
I can not even smell the individual fragrances well herraus, I do not know how Kaki or Champaka smell. Pomegranate I have eaten before, but how the smells I do not know more.
Overall, however, it seems brightly fruity, pure radiant, not too sweet.
He has a creamy and woody undertone, amber can be detected.
Black orchids even exist in real, more dark purple: Maxillaria schunkeana. About their fragrance I know nothing, and also not all orchids smell.
Vanillig I would not exactly describe the fragrance either. Ambry fruity, lychee also comes to mind. That's how I would describe the scent.
Last year 2019 I got the fragrance as a 30 ml bottle as a gift and since then I have worn it often and with pleasure at work.
Wasn't quite sure about it at first but now I really appreciate it and will probably get a refill.
I wish you all a Happy New Year!

Such a scandal
Today I have to take up the cudgels for Scandal.
Here on Parfumo he comes off rather badly what this fragrance but in my opinion does not deserve.
Yeah, he's sweet and not exactly subtle and natural. But every year there are many far worse scents coming out

I tested it for the first time in 2017 in the perfumery department of Kastner&Öhler department store
Forewarned by Parfumo that it was quite a blast, I just sprayed a mini spray on my wrist.
He's cute, yeah. But here the secret is in the dosage. A normal, not quite squeezed through sprayer or two to three very tender mini sprayers - just press the spray head very lightly -, that's how I now dose Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier.
People always ask for durability and sillage. Please, here it is!

The dosage must be handled with similar care as with Mugler fragrances. I can well understand that overdosage can be a blow to the head
A homeopathic dosage does the fragrance good.

The fragrance should only consist of a few ingredients. Gardenia is rather not so dominant here, but it is
more like blood orange and honey. Patchouli is also present, but it's more harmonious here than in other sweet mainstream fragrances.
All in all, the composition of the fragrance indigrents is good and harmonious.

I'm not the sweetest guy in the world, but every now and then it can be sweet. I even get headaches easily with sweet scents in overdose
I've never done this with Scandal. In discreet dosage it works harmoniously on me and does not become too much for me
Well, but I'm also used to many years of wearing "heavy calibers" like the Florientals and Orientals of the eighties and chypre bombs. Also musk firecrackers like Lutens Khan are allowed. I am only sensitive to sweet things.

I bought a 30 ml bottle of Scandal and wear it every now and then.
I think I will also buy the larger 50 ml bottle with the legs stretched out in the air when the opportunity arises.

Clear and shining like a diamond
Sparkling White Diamonds caught my attention here on Parfumo by reading the comments.
Since I already have a few fragrances from Elizabeth Taylor and find all of them good to very good, I took the chance when I saw him offered for sale by a private person at a reasonable price

Elizabeth Taylor makes the best star scents for them and the first one I bought from this beautiful movie star was the timeless White Diamonds
But this is Sparkling White Diamonds, which has nothing to do with White Diamonds except to be part of Elizabeth Taylor's series of "jewel scents"

Sparkling White Diamonds has a clear, cool, pure fragrance character. It is a clean, pure fragrance, not powdery. One smells fresh and well-groomed with it and yet elegant.
It is thus well suited for everyday life and yet you do not feel ordinary with it but as if you have something noble around you like the expensive cashmere vest in muted colors

Sparkling White Diamond comes to rays through the use of white flowers, but never too obtrusive.
Gardenias enchant here with their elegance, unsweet daffodils join in with a touch of lilies.
Neroli seems to cool the fragrance and makes sure that it doesn't drift too much into the floral.
In the base I smell something woody to ground the shining diamond.

It could last a little longer, the durability I feel unfortunately only mediocre
Also my husband uses it from time to time, because of its unsweetness it can be worn by men as well.

The fragrance is noble and has class, so you are always well scented. But in such a way that it always remains elegant and never becomes cheap. Like a timeless piece of good clothing

Unfortunately the scent is hardly available anymore. It is quite possible that it has been discontinued in the meantime.
