Ambre Narguille best competitor!
It goes along the same lines of Ambre Narguille, Oajan, and 1 million prive my comparisons of the 3 would be that.

AN is the most novelty of the 3 in terms of that apple cinnamon pie sorta vibe if thats what you are looking for. And if we were to think of the fragrance as a color if you will I imagine a sorta crystalized color.
Oajan is the roughest, harshest, most vibe version of them all.
1 million prive is the cherry tobacco, bubble gum, with buttery tonka bean dry down. Although as well the weakest performing of the 4...
Compared to those id say that Ambre Tabac is sorta like a slightly harsher, rougher version of 1 million prive. In that it has a very strong fruity tobacco note through out. Strong enough cherry that it almost makes me think of a cherry bubble gumish flavor. The tobacco also reminds me of tobacognac if anyone has smelled that fragrance. As it is transitioning I do get some aspects that remind me of even say CK shock, however this never gets that chocolate or cordial smell. And I even get some hints of herod, or light my fire.
There is just a pinch of honey in the tobacco to this one as well thats specs shine a bit brighter in the very dry down. Speaking of the dry down the amber does have that sorta slight rubber, plastic, powder kinda amber mix that some fragrances have. But its pretty light and generally its just a nice vanilla, fruity cherry sorta tobacco with some honey specs...
Overall the apple cinnamon pie novelty if you will does nothing for me, so AN is the big "loser" for me. Id say I probably like Ambre tabac the best offhand. I think overall its the best throughout. For the most part this fragrance is very thick fruity tobacco scent. That leans for the first duration more cherry, and then as it dries down the vanilla gets stronger, with some slight honey specs shining, and a bit of amber.

Performance is fine.

Specific Oud and Mild Rose
Another hidden gem from Angel Schlesser! Heavy band-aid like oud in the opening, but that fades after 20-30 minutes. What's left is a spicy combination of sandalwood, amber and a hint of clove that last 8+ hours. The notes list rose, but I'm not detecting any. I'm not a rose fan, so this is a good aspect for me. A winner.
Classic Arabian/Eastern oriental fragrance. The oud blasts out from the first spritz followed by a beautiful spicy/woody masterpiece. The rose while not obvious seems to provide an element of luxury which holds the fragrance together. Longevity and projection are above average and instills an aura of mystical/exoticism about the wearer. Having traveled extensively in the Arabic world I see this as a beautiful rendition of what you would expect on anyone heading towards Mecca!

Very sensual! I love the scent!! If you are not living in the middle east I would recommend this more for fall/winter as this is very complex scent. I love the fruitiness and the oud accord combination that gives this very masculine, strong vibe. Definitely needs some character to pull this off!

I have been reading all the reviews here and a lot of people seem to be complaining about Interlude for man. Let's get one thing straight, fragrances like anything else related to senses can be extremely subjective. There is absolutely no doubt about that.

I appreciate the cultural differences people might have and owing to that, their palates might vary greatly. Also, their personalities might also dictate what they choose to wear.

So, Interlude is definitely a no no for prince charming trying to pickup girls at the club or at a school party. This is a serious fragrance and let me correct you by adding that this is a "Perfume" and its got a very serious character to it. If you're from the west and oriental perfumery is alien to you, I would take no offence if you failed in appreciating the house of Amouage. It's a cultural difference I have come to realize and appreciate.

However, please do not discredit this prestigious house.

Being an Indian I understand spices and heavy fragrances since most things spice related originated in India. The arabs have historically been our close allies in trade and this led to exchange of tastes and ideas. The loud sense of style in arab culture led to their style of perfumery.

The use of Frankincense, Amber, Oud, Resins, Spices were a culmination of different raw materials from the region.

Interlude for man is a potent perfume. It's the smell of opulence and absolute power. Western noses might find it offensive and olfactory fatigue is common with such heavy smells. You might not realize it but this fragrance will last well over 12 hours on skin and multiple days on clothes. I have jackets from winter that still smell of Interlude and they smell strong yet pleasant.

Apart from the fragrance itself, the bottles are a work of art and so is the box. You don't just pay for the commodity but the experience. So quit whining about the price when you're investing in something as timeless as this or any Amouage offering.

The house of Amouage was commissioned by the Sultan of Oman and the house definitely lives up to the hype.

Interlude is not for everyone, it's definitely not for someone looking to impress others with their cologne. If you look like a lover boy and plan on wearing this, thinking that pretty girls will come compliment you. That's not going to happen.

I have had numerous compliments after almost 7-8 hours of application and this thing is an absolute beast of a perfume, it lasts forever. A 50 ml bottle should last you years easily. Just 4 sprays well spaced and you're set for a couple days.

If you ever travel to the middle east, you'll know what oriental perfumery is and how it's different from western take on fragrances. There is less regard for subtlety and they love it robust and animalic. So if you think, you'll rock this perfume on a tuxedo then you're mistaken. You need to wear either a Kandoura with a Bisht or a White Kurta Pyajama and a safa.

incredible underrated fragrance and surprisingly not well known in the fragrance community
Weirdest perfume i ve smelled for sure.I dont understand what im smelling and i definetely dont pickup any of the notes listed...All i smell is clothing softener with a bit of rive gauche some powder and some spices. The smell is definetely unique and very mysterious.its among the best perfumes i ve tried. Its like a very warm aristocratic scent suitable mostly for a rich gentleman.
This one is a hidden gem for sure, thank god,as not too many people are aware of this perfume. This one gained a spot on my top list.
Projection and longetivity are among the best i have in my collection. It projects for 2 meters for an hour and longetivity is 8 hours solid on my skin.
Overall its the first time a frag confuses me that much as i cant define what im smelling here maybe i need some time more with it but oh god its so mysterious and awsome ^^
25$ for such a GEM ? Really ???!!!
