Rubyred

I class this as an oriental vanillic. Super strong and heady, in the genre of Shalimar. Tiring of it, I handed it over to my girlfriend, who loved it up and was last heard complaining there was only now a dribble left in the bottle.

Lovely, joyful, warm, buttered, fruit and citrus vanilla. Other reviewers find pear in the opening. I find it softly orange - tangerine is a note and it is not spicy but tangy, to cut the vanilla. Reminds me muchly of Gucci's Flora EDP in the warm orange. Strongly redolent of coconut although that isn't a listed note. Not a beachy coconut, but a sueded, cashmere, hazy, shimmering coconut. This is like a warm custard slice with a glazed orange finish and shaved coconut. Creamy warm vanilla, not sugary.
Trail is fairly quiet, almost, but not quite strong enough to be decent. Someone close to you might, in the first hour, get a whiff of this scent. Needs 3 - 4 sprays on each arm, neck, on hair. After an hour or two you just forget it's there unless you make a conscious effort to smell it. This is the worst aspect of the perfume, for me. The dry down is long lasting though, lasts overnight on me.
The bottle is cringe-worthy and belongs on a 6 year old's dressing table.

I love the warm ambery/smoky/patchouli/incense of the original Jimmy Choo, so I grabbed this to try it in the store this week. There's something about the smell of strawberry in perfumes I find unattractive, although I love the smell of real strawberries. Put that with pepper, tuberose and woods and for me, not a pleasant scentsation. I class this as melon and aquatic, a synthetic, cool smell.

very soft, cottony marshmallow that, despite 5x3 squirts, repeated thrice in 10 minutes, remains soft and elusive. Frustratingly insipid, to be blunt (when I have just bought a bottle). Well, I suppose it might have more of a scent than Stella Nude (which scent doesn't) but, I have body lotions that have more smell than this. After about an hour the scent gets a little stronger and develops a nutty hint which develops to faint, sweet/sour musk, (musks usually smell sour to me) I can detect the soft mandarin which cuts the sweetness a bit. Powdery, floral, sweet, soft, close to the skin ie only you could smell it - I doubt if anyone you were snuggling up to would smell it, even if you bathed in it.

Super strong tea rose. Has carnation or clove which adds a warm honey mead. The bottle says its an EDT which is a huge understatement. It's so powerful it could be a rose oil and in fact it has a sort of rich, oily aspect. No development. Which is just fine if you want rose, rose, rose. Super sillage and very good lasting power at 9-10 hours.
