For a dark red velvet mood...
A loud (in a good way) white floral-coffee-vanilla fragrance. On my skin I get a distinct roasted sharpness from the coffee and a creamy tuberose feel which gives it almost a velvety texture. I have noticed many reviews mentioning "sexiness", of course the bottle can somehow lead the mind towards the "sexy" direction, but also the cacao nuances, which are delectably blended with the coffee bean, give to this perfume an edgy, spicy character which someone can interpret as sexy. On my skin, the floral character never fades away, it intensifies in time and it also sweetens, the tonka bean becomes stronger with its nut/cherry kissed character. I can also detect a charming" dirtiness" perfumewise, meaning that this blend achieves some qualities that are exactly the opposite of those of perfumes which are characterized as "clean" or fresh. The color I can mostly associate what I smell with is velvet dark red. Good longevity and sillage. I agree that it belongs to the "black opium, poison girl etc." family although I find it a bit spicier. A very interesting perfume of my collection.

Praline wafer treasure discovered!
When I got in this niche perfume house in Germany, this summer, my personal heaven on earth, I really had no idea where to start with so I asked the lady there to treat me with some gourmands! The first one she sprayed on me was CONFETTO and after this first spray all the other perfumes I tried for the next two hours I stayed there, came second best! CONFETTO had won my heart!

My first impression of it, without having any idea of the notes, was... delicious praline wafers.Consequently I asked if there was any cocoa or hazelnut in it. But no, my guessings were wrong, it was a bitter almond combined with anise that gave this ambery vanilla a twist and also prevented the smell from being sickly sweet. This perfume is like an almond veil that surrounds you for hours. And while it starts beautifully and intensely the development of the scent on the skin is even more heavenly, it becomes creamier and it also develops a powdery feeling.

Now, while I usually avoid to compare perfumes in my reviews and prefer to describe the scent on its own, I feel that I have to spend a part of this review to the association being made with Hypnotic Poison of Dior. Yes, its true, there is a similarity between them. BUT, this is such a better-made blend in terms of quality. I dont know where to start, the smooth, sleek texture of the juice, the creamy quality of the almond in it, the anise which gives a sparkle to this scent, the depth and warmth.. these are all aspects of Confetto that Hypnotic Poison fails to reveal.. at least that is my opinion, also let me add that I never really liked HP while I LOVE Confetto!

Longevity of Confetto: till the next day of apply. Magical sillage, everytime I wear it people around me comment on it!

So happy with this joyful purchase! Worth the money!

The scent of an Angel
I think this is a perfume that has captured tonka bean in the purest way possible.

I get a spicy-smoky vanilla and also some heliotrope quality, like a vanillic powder cloud. The almond is not that obvious for me, maybe it adds some nuttiness but I get more of the incense part than the almond. I also get something boozy, but that might be the tonka absolute (which derives from soaking the tonka bean into alcohol, rum usually). Somewhere at the background I also get the pine, in the most soothing and not "green" way possible.

I get something extraordinary, elegant and pure, its like the essence of a dream, unreal and floating. Could be the scent of an angel I think.

Only downside: its sillage. Its more of a skin scent although I think that if it had more presence it would lose some of the above mentioned characteristics that make it what it is. My first thought was, why spend so much money if this wont get noticed also its not something bizarre smelling and unprecedented as in the use of notes. But what is unprecedented and unique is the way it's made. It proves that simple is better.

An exceptionally well made fragrance!

Board the starship.. Angel Muse
I love this fragrance. This is where gourmand meets earthy. And while it achieves an authentic gourmand quality (its one of the most succesful hazelnut interprations in my opinion, nutty and creamy) it manages not to be solely a gourmand. There is the charming presence of patchouli (I m not a big fan of patchouli, in large doses at least) along with the bittersweet/woody vetiver which take this blend to another level of gourmand gloriousness. Many contradicting qualities co-exist harmoniously. The sentiment I get is shimmery and radiant which means there are some "shadows" along the way, for in order to perceive the light a bit of darkness is inevitable. In a single whiff I experience simultaneously variant olfactory textures and tinctures while the parallel olfactory universes come in contact and communicate.

Come with me for a journey
After a thorough search for an uplifting but at the same time sensual fragrance for warm days I arrived at "Un jardin sur la lagune".

The garden:
at first spray there is an elegant lemony facet, I will have to distinguish lemony from citrus-y here, because this lemon is not fizzy or sharp. It is a white floral-infused, delicate lemon, the reason being that it comes from the lemon-nuanced petals of the magnolia. Very soon the white floral aspects intensify as the pittosporum with its jasmine shades appears and blends with the magnolia. The lily is not that obvious to me.

The lagoon:
about the marine accord, there is a sea breeze aura that captures the scents of the lemony magnolia and pittosporum and spreads them around you. Again this aura is different from other marine notes I've encountered, it's not that salty, it feels like sun rays reflecting on the sea and like the wind that has captured salt and sand at the same time.

And then as time soothes the "edges" and warms the blend the woody, aromatic base gives to the blend another dimension. Through all its wear there is a scent you get in the surface and another one coming from somewhere deep. I applied the perfume the night before and could not stop getting wafts of a multidimensional aromatic blend as I was waking up this morning.

This is an amazing fragrance. Definitely has the Hermes DNA, a bit of Caleche edt in here too, it is elegant, long lasting and worthy of its name which makes me dream of places with light blue waters, mediterranean flowers and gardens near the coast not as I have seen them or even smelled them but as I imagined them as a child.

I really hope there are people that will get what I am getting from this.
