A memory, not a scent
Earthy and gourmand.

Imagine the most discreet tobacco, elegant and slightly caramellic along with warm hay. The hay is very prominent at the beginning, it smells like earth and sweet, dry grass, that has been slightly touched by the rain. The herbal qualities of the soft and savory sage blend in perfectly with the hay.

It starts very strangely, it is herbal and powdery but while weird blends are not my usual choices, I love smelling this on me.

In its development it takes an interesting twist, it feels very familiar to me, like a memory from my past I cannot entirely place. I m very young, the rain has stopped and I m taking a walk in a sunny field, a summer afternoon, along with my loved ones, my mother and my grandfather maybe. Has this happened or is it just a game of my imagination? I m not sure.

The hay soon becomes smoother and blends well with my skin and some honey nuances that I could detect earlier too now brighten up and are warming the skin. There is also Mimosa in here. I just checked its odor profile and it mentions "child-like, soft and hazy heliotrope with sugar spun tonalities". Indeed there is a discreet sugar touch.

The perfume gets warmer and warmer as time goes by, with the cashmeran adding a sleek texture to the blend. It is definitely unisex and shares some qualities with some other perfumes like Tobacco vanille, Tonka Imperiale and jeux de Peau.

It is a memory evoking scent for me. It feels familiar and unfamiliar at the same time like something I have dreamed before, a childhood image that I can't identify but warms my heart either way. Like a moment that is long gone but just a step away in my mind. It is a nostalgic scent.

After 5 hours I can still smell it on me and on my clothes. It smells now like clean clothes, sugared almonds and sun touched wheat.

Fragrant Roller coaster!
Welcome to the sweet, candied experience called Jolie! This is a roller coaster through lollipop hills and sugared rivers. It is a simple and sweet concoction done with mastery and complexity. If you are a gourmand lover as myself it will be difficult not to fall in love.

Sugar trip:
To begin with, you have to like sugar to enjoy this blend. First spray, a tooth-achingly sweet blast of sugar. Not crystal sugar, powdered sugar, if you get a sniff from a bag of powdered sugar you will know what I mean, at this point the sweetness is sharp. In a few seconds I start to get whipped cream, the milk is making a discreet appearance, never too obvious through its whole wear.

Lollipop hills:
A caramelized sugar quality with all the stickiness and slightly burned aspects makes things even more interesting. But this is just a stop before arriving to the lollipop, hard candy land. I think I could describe this phase with colors, it feels like little rainbow explosions of sugar. The fruits have also joined the party now offering their juicy and bright qualities. My nose detects cherry, maybe some blood orange, peach and maybe a bit of lime as I detect sth discreetly sour.

Now the mastery point, the above-mentioned stage lasts for 6 hours on my skin. It does not lose its intensity, the powdered sugar effect is vibrant and alive though its whole wear. There are some really good ingredients in here, might be concentrated oils, even the sprayer part is a bit sticky.

If you like sticky sweetness, caramelized vanilla and candied notes this is for you.

A magical potion of sugar!

Luxurius Store aesthetics...
Ok, this is absolutely stunning! It reminds me of the scent of some really expensive stores or fashion houses where the room smells amazingly and luxurious because they have given the greatest attention to their home fragrance which is made of the finest ingredients. Right then you wish there was a perfume like this, YOU want to smell like this. Even the delicate papers that cover the products you are buying smell like this. This is Gris Dior for me. Elegant, gray in color, austere and charming. Everything in this concoction is delicate. The rose is delicate, not sharp, the woods are delicate, the citruses are discreet, the patchouli is smooth and they all blend in so beautifully. It is a classic suit, a cashmere scarf, a pair of pearl earrings. It wafts fresh femininity and class. Even though it is not listed after some time I get an abricot quality and a sea breeze feel. The fruity quality of this scent is like nothing I have smelled before. A multi-dimensional fume for sure. And a compliment getter.

Nuit Tresor a la Folie and it’s magical tricks
This looks like and is a gem to me. It smells like a sweet potion infused with redcurrant and spices. There is a cherry-kissed tonka bean sweetness and a magical red-fruit stinginess and twinkling feeling. The vanillic benzoin offers warmth and depth to the scent. The rose feels somehow chocolatey, sprinkled with cocoa powder, it sometimes even gives me chocolate truffle "illusions". Now if it could only be a bit more intense because what I get is so gorgeous that I can't get enough of it. It has a very strange property in terms of how it is perceived. It is such a deep scent that you have to look for it and go through an olfactory "digging" process. So the scent is potentially but not actually there and all the fun is about trying to "catch" it. Nuit Tresor a la folie is definitely a treasure worth to be found.

Alien Absolu.. a mystical journey
This is a sweet and very balsamic alien, the jasmine has retreated to give its place to a beautiful vanilla and a deep amber while staying in the background as a reminder of its floral existence. The myrrh gives this scent an almost "sacramental" character and while the time goes by the woods step in to conclude this oriental, mystical journey. Its very intense at the beginning but has one of the most gorgeous developments leaving an irresistible vanillic dreamy aura behind.
