Black Flower Mexican Vanilla by Dame Perfumery Scottsdale
„Way to go”
Dame Perfumery never ceases to enchant. There is something to be said in this day and cynical age about small handmade perfume companies and their service. Small touches DO make a big difference and when the perfumes are affordable and damn right beautiful, you naturally...

Ôud Bouquet by Lancôme
The first thing you're taken by is the filligreed heavy glass bottle. There is no plastic here (I'm looking your way Armani and Aerin) and the heavy magnetic cap clicks into place smoothly every time. The dark amber liquid shows through the golden metal filigree like an expensive...
At first I didn't find this compelling but a year later can't get enough. If you don't like it at first, keep trying. Creamy, sweet & nutty.
Robust herbal rose, very natural smelling and not too rosey. Mixed with spicy character-giving roots and flowers. But the price is nuts.+2
Love Promenade des Anglais? Look for Figue Iris on ebay and save.+2
Syrupy vanilla/myrrh with perfect sillage and good lasting power. Don't pay $100 for this beauty: it can be had cheaply if you look.+2
Supremely similar to Mon Excusif but stronger on the lavender. It is less tenacious than ME and has an airy-er feel. Great bottle and price.+3
Glad I didn't listen to detractors. Similar opening to original, continues into totally different perfume: clear musk and air, almond powder+2
Nothing to see here: same as the original but sweeter in a commercialized way. If you have one you won't need the other.+2
Sample before you commit: can be overwhelming and too sticky sweet. All about Tonka, nothing else.+2
What a honeyed rose should be: incredibly lush, juicy and effusive, tempered by the the slightest oud. The bottle is a work of art alone.+1
Way more complex than the price and bottle suggest: yes, it's sweet but there are many facets to the scent. Don't let popularity put you off

„Guerlain Cuir Beluga, Dior Cuir Cannage, Hermes Cuir d’Ange”
A vanilla and powder lover’s dream, soft suede leather perfumes
approximate the delicately-gloved rich lady who does not want to smell
dirty and animalistic. Guerlain did it the best: Cuir Beluga is all
about heliotrope and vanilla, with tiny wisps of amber and something
slightly earthy rising from time to time. Yes, it smells a bit like
pastry but there is not much sweetness there. All the powder-leathers
smell more like cashmere sweaters and the inside linings of suede coats

Wow, you may be one of the most active people here especially in case of Perfume blogs, that section is getting new articles really rarely :-)

It's a great pleasure to read your perfume blog. I like Masque Milano Russian Tea but my daughter asked me not to wear it when she's around...

Welcome to this charming site. It has so many boutique like features. The crowd is nice, too.

Welcome here, TPV! :-) I read your comment on the introduction topic, and after almost 1,5 year I can tell, that here the conversation goes usually calm and normal :-) Wish you all the best here!
