Joyful playful free spirited Flora
Flora by Gucci has recently entered my collection. Overall, I absolutely adore it and it is definitely going to be one of my favorites. It’s probably pretty underrated and I am not sure why because to me it’s just gorgeous from the packaging to the juice inside the hexagon shaped bottle with the black bow on top. The box has stunning artwork of beautiful floral designs. I usually put the boxes away but I kept this one on my dresser. It’s joyful playful and gives me free spirited boho vibes. I do believe it’s more of a summer or spring fragrance as the projection is not very strong even for edp. I originally thought it might be more of a winter perfume, but it’s just not that heavy. It’s more of a citrusy osmanthus and I do not detect much Rose or patchouli in this. It’s a very well blended citrusy almost fruity floral, so it’s difficult to see if any notes really stand out. It’s just a very pleasant charming scent that you can hardly go wrong with purchasing blindly unless you really dislike citrusy notes that are not very strong at all. It makes me think of sun, summer and strolling somewhere in the Mediterranean. Somehow I think of my recent trip to Portugal. I love the ad, I love the bottle I love the perfume. I am charmed. It is adorable.

Is this classic treasure still modern enough
Recently got this classic treasure. It’s very unique and different from the current either very floral or very gourmand trends. I have to say that initially I disliked it, but then I just couldn’t stop smelling it and reaching for it. I guess there’s something about it, some sort of mystery. You keep trying to smell it over and again. It’s interesting. You want to keep discovering it on yourself this Tresor. It opens up with a kind of cosmetics like note. You know, if you ever smelled a very expensive furniture polish lacquer box. It can be a little off putting and at same time addictive and inviting. After that initial blast, it transitions into the bitter peach core territory. It’s the prettiest sexiest apricot dry down and you just can’t stop smelling it on yourself. I bought it for winter, but it does not have a strong projection or silage. It stays pretty close to the skin. It’s very moderate. I know the description of the ad says it’s romantic, but to me it has a sort of strength a sort of toughness. And I find it can provide this toughness when you need it. I can imagine wearing it in those social professional situations and feeling quite confident. Should you wear this vintage classic now? To me, why not? I love its uniqueness and characteristic charm. You probably will smell more unique than most. It’s beautiful!

Distant violet starlight of Stella
It is definitely one of my top liked perfumes. I think it is no longer current and became underrated. It’s still very now and is an incredibly gorgeous perfume. It manages to be both everyday and seductive night time scent somehow at the same time. It opens up with a light mandarin note and shifts into gentle dark rose. The dry down somehow smells very soapy on my skin, but more like a very upscale expensive soap. I cannot say it projects loudly at all. But I think people notice as you smell seductive and at the same time a little distant. Who is this dark mysterious sexy stranger? It lingers as you pass by. When I smell it I get a wistful feeling you get at sunsets when you’re alone with nothing to entertain you but passing light. The darkness lingers and you feel like you’re on the cusp of meeting someone. Will you be star crossed lovers? The bottle that I have in 30 ml is shaped like a violet purple gem. It’s a perfume that is deeply emotional and magical, and perhaps more for a mysterious dark romantic with a gothic touch. What will your journey be wearing it? Where will it take you? You only will know.

We want to be old when younger
Had this scent now almost 20 years ago. It still seems like just yesterday. Funny how anyone who is younger wants to act more mature, and now that I am older I am asking myself, What was my rush? Why did I act so offended at the perfume that my husband suggested back then? He actually liked Candies, and honestly, that would have just fitted me perfectly at the time. I was in my early 20s. But, no that 20 year old had expensive French perfume tastes, let me tell you!!! So of course, after trying many different ones at the posh department store, I chose Amarige D’Amore. I guess it was befitting and I recall the scent being very beautiful but also it can be easily worn today. Not vintage in feeling at all. Compared to the original Amarige, it had very little similarity. It is a bright sparkling white floral. Very pretty, light and romantic. I don’t have it anymore but I still recall it. Definitely behind the times in terms of the name and the message. Makes me feel melancholy at the passage of time.

Message in the bottle is love
Today I am writing a love letter to one of my absolute favorite perfumes: Qui A L’Amore! This is love! And I declare it to the world. Qui A L’Amore is a precious Rose perfume gem. I think the composition of all the notes is so well created and balanced that it’s like a beautiful song in perfume. It combines most of my favorite notes in one and then adds some that are out of the ordinary like Angelica, which is an herb, which has some healing properties on the side note. Yves Rocher perfumes use mostly organic and natural ingredients and it shows in the quality and also care for our health and the health of this planet. Love you, love others, love this planet! That is how I interpret the message of this perfume. I discovered this perfume during a fairly happy time in my life. I was surrounded by friends living in a town on a glorious lake in a house that had a rose garden. I recall walking in the summer wearing this perfume meeting with my friends and watching sunsets over the lake that was like an ocean. It’s full of this sunshiny kind of green and pastel orange energy. I have to buy a backup of this for sure, and I hope they never discontinue this rare treasure or my heart will be broken. :). It’s very feminine, and absolutely recreates a feeling of being head over heels in love. The bottle is also very chic with heart embossed in it and a little message like in a romantic letter. Glorious! My absolute true recommendation for any lovers of rose and truly romantic dreamy fragrance fans out there. This is Love!
