Worth the Hype?
As is well known, tastes are different. And perception too!
Just remember the "black and blue or gold and white dress" question. And this I learn here on Parfumo more and more that I do not perceive certain notes, etc., which are touted by many or perceive other notes that are not listed or the like
But after a bit of research in statements and reviews, one or the other user can be found who sees it similarly. Sometimes even only in responses to reviews.
I'm also not sure whether some can not be influenced by the fragrance pyramid or comments. Say, one applies the fragrance, perceives a top note, opens the fragrance on Parfumo, sees the corresponding top note and thinks "ah yes, I just perceive quite clearly!"
What I'm getting at is, I do detect the listed oud somewhere in the background, but not at all as present or dominant.

Ombre Nomade has reminded me from the beginning extremely of Santal Royal by Guerlain. So much so that I started a direct comparison the next day. And lo and behold, they are super similar. Only the ON is more fruity. Understandably, it does contain the raspberry. But the DNA is identical.

The sillage is already good, but still totally in the framework. I have there actually somehow expected more.
Durability is good.

Conclusion: I can actually not quite understand the hype and you get for a fraction of the price the same fragrance DNA with almost the same sillage and durability. And who wants to have it absolutely identical, just put a few raspberries behind the ears.

Confusion - at it's best
Yesterday was the day. Andy Tauer - The wunderkind of the perfume scene I read somewhere. If you look at the bottle, it already borders on a miracle to fill something as beautiful as perfume in something as terrible as this bottle. But well, beauty is in the yes known in the eye of the beholder.

So the filling rausgesucht un applied. Shortly evaporate let, off in armchair, close the eyes and smell. Ah, how beautiful. This is familiar to me. YES now very clearly. Forest. More precisely the Black Forest. Firs. Freshly felled firs that give off the scent of their wood and above all resin. YES who does not know it, if one has touched a fir trunk and the resin sticks to the hands and exudes its ethereal smell.
Some relaxing baths smell like that too. Oh how nice to lie in the tub with that scent in your nose. Or maybe it reminds you a little of Christmas. Of the fir tree beating in winter.

Wait a minute. I'm opening my eyes again. What the heck? Firs? Black Forest? Winter and Relaxation Bath? I think this thing is called "The Air of the Moroccan Desert"?

Hmm, maybe Andy got it wrong and it should actually be called "L'Air du Forêt-Noire Allemande". Sounds similar.
Or maybe he just slipped on the keyboard.

Or.

or...

or the dear Parfumo has simply made a mistake in the fragrance and accidentally sent me a wrong fragrance. Has mistaken because the flacons looked so similar;-)

or he is still developing and the desert head cinema just comes a little later. So I give the fragrance still some time.
I smell after about two hours on my wrist and.... frighten.
Hey! Scent! Where are you going? You're supposed to become the Moroccan desert air yet, not run away now.
Briefly opened again Parfumo. Durability 10 points? This can not be my fragrance.
Well, maybe he'll be great afterwards in the drydown. One has already experienced everything. In the transition, you think, that's it now and then comes the fragrance but once again very strong.

So after three hours once again sniffed on the wrist. Okay, that was probably really. Even closer with the nose ran. Hmm, there is now but och something happened. Even if only very, very close to the skin. But what is it? Ah, I know. Rubber gloves. Like the ones you use for cleaning. Maybe Bedouins like to wear them on their camels in the winter.
But wait, there was something... Open Parfumo again and scroll through the comments. Yes there, rubber, latex, etc.
So maybe this is the right fragrance after all??

I think I'll never know, as the money for a counter test is too bad for me.

Maybe this is all, so the bottle, the name and the fragrance also quite great art and I just a philistine.

It was once around 2330 BC.
The guards stepped back in awe, clearing the way as their ruler walked quickly toward the gate. Sargon! His whole appearance left hardly anyone in doubt of his power. He strode through the great halls lit by torches straight to the women's chambers, pushed open the door and looked around the dim room. Everywhere the most beautiful bodies were lolling among the velvet and silk, and a beguiling fragrance lingered in the air. In a thunderous voice he said, "Where is she?" One of the women walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. Her skin was warm and amber. She was draped in chains and otherwise wore only a silken veil around her waist. "She is gone my ruler" si whispered in his ear. He looked at her and asked "when did she leave and where did she go?" she raised her shoulders and said "we don't know" "no we don't know" the other women around joined in"
He looked around and took a deep breath "she can't have been gone long" he said turning and storming out of the room.
Beauty grabbed the jug of wine and poured herself a large cup. "When are we going to tell him?" she asked the other harem ladies. "Never" said one "He wouldn't survive it"...

Sargon and Ishtar a love story. You can well imagine the scent that surrounded him if you have smelled this creation. Here, in any case, the story, the bottle and the fragrance match perfectly. A small work of art.

Only can you wear this fragrance then also in everyday life? If you do not have a long dark beard and no cape wears under the muscular, tanned arms look out?

That is up to each person!

Hey Oud, don't make it bad
There's no getting around Initio OfG at the moment. So I had to test it once to see what all the praise is about. And if the expectation is great, we all know what happens.
So, best to keep expectations low. I sprayed me a few puffs and thought first, "yes, starts promising" Some spice, not too sweet and, after a bit of searching, I also discovered oud.
Since I already thought, "Oops, but the name is Oud for Greatness" So of course I expect oud. And that in its greatest form.
"Okay", I thought "that certainly still develops". And it did. But not as expected, that the oud comes out even more clearly, no on the contrary, it warps somewhere in the background.
Instead, a certain sweetness slowly emerges and takes over more and more. "Hmm, what's that? Ah, it reminds me of popcorn."
I keep smelling my wrist, looking for anything woody - oud. And sometimes I catch a little of it, but primarily sweet, caramelized popcorn remains.
The projection is okay the durability a tiny bit disappointing for the price. I think if a perfume costs over 200€ per 100ml, then the durability must be top.
So, all in all a good fragrance - albeit with a false title-, but which is too expensive for me, for what you get in the end.

Addendum:
I have OfG now about 10 months in the closet matured and behold, there is yes the missed Oud. Now he is also no longer so pappsüß. I like him now really good, because now I would also call him an oud scent.

Worth the price?
This was my first test of a fragrance from Roja Dove. And what can I say - I would have expected more somehow. The whole starts with a mess and then arranges itself relatively quickly in the much described note cola. A big glass of cola with ice cubes and a slice of lemon. Okay, actually quite interesting. The projection isn't that great. One takes the fragrance every now and then, but it is not constantly present and also slays no one.
After about 2 hours, the cola makes 'nen shoe and the base note takes over. Very nice and also clearly perceptible amber, patchouli and especially vanilla take their place. But then the sillage quickly decreases significantly. After 3-4 hours, the fragrance is only perceptible close to the skin. But there he remains then also very warm and pleasant.
In summary, the fragrance is already good but also not worthy of any enthusiasm. And in my opinion, the high price also not justified.
