If Jesus had worn a perfume...
I haven't had that moment for a long time, like when I first sprayed Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel or my niche debut Aventus. Percival has once again triggered in me this feeling of wanting to wear a fragrance every day. As nice as it is to have a wide variety of choices, every perfume enthusiast knows that it can be a curse and a blessing at the same time to consider which treasure to wear today. The scent of Parfüm de Marly makes it very easy. It is in any case a fresh, pleasant scent that radiates a lot of kindness and warmth. It may sound corny but if Jesus had worn a fragrance it would have been this one - he seems so benevolent to me. It is so much more than just a dull cologne or a light freshi. This pleasant, hard to define spice-fresh-scent-combination is hard to describe but somehow it seems as if you have smelled it somewhere before. Almost like a friend or favourite uncle who always wore a good aftershave. Everyone who is looking for an uncomplicated, harmonious fragrance that doesn't offend is in the right place. Percival is in any case the brave in the Parfum de Marly row. I like him very much, especially because his brothers like to meet rejection from some people
I will still use up my 20 ml fillings and then probably secure the fragrance for myself. Because sometimes the simple is simply the most beautiful

The better 540 Baccarat Rouge?!
I've read a lot about this fragrance. Many people were disappointed who had imagined a "red super fragrance". I therefore approached an extensive test with very low expectations.

The fragrance starts with a voluminous, slightly floral cotton candy accord that gently envelops the skin.
Almost like this scent experience when you stood with your grandpa in front of the cotton candy machine at the fair.
I think the word "fragrance experience" hits the nail on the head here, as Kalan catapulted me back to a time in my childhood.

It cannot be denied, however, that the fragrance bears some similarities to the well-known Baccarat Rouge 540. But how do these two differ? For my part, I have never been able to celebrate Baccarat Rouge like most of the community here. I always liked the "cotton candy note" but this sterile "rubber glove note" was never my thing. Just too eccentric for my taste. (Still not a bad smell of course!)
But that is also very subjective. Unique and innovative was the 540 for the scene in any case.

Kalan takes out all the things I didn't like about the Baccarat Rouge and highlights the ingredients that I already enjoyed in the 540.
I also find Kalan much more suitable for everyday use and gentler than the above-mentioned fragrance. Moreover, the drydown is much more harmonious and much less restless than initially assumed.
The shelf life is good for me is 5-7 hours.

However, the red stallion deserves more than a 7.3 in any case, since the 540 relationship scores much better at 8.0 and the scents Handwerklich do not diverge that much. I think the bad rating is also due to the expectations of the horse fans, every PDM scent must be a new Layton or Herod.

PDM hasn't reinvented the wheel with this fragrance, nor has it created a fragrance giant, but I don't mind that either. The fragrance is very pleasantly harmonious and is based on Baccarat Rouge 540. However, more as a homage than as a clone attempt.

Be Christian Gray for a few hours?
As all of us at Duftyoutuber Jeremy Fragrance like to mention, reflection man is the cool Christian, Gray fragrance. Masculine, rich and radiant, I have imagined him to be a fuller le paint or a more sophisticated Dior homme perfume? I really didn't know what to expect, but almost everything you need to know about the fragrance is already in the name itself.

Basically the scent is very unique and does not generally remind one of a mixture of Pegasus, fucking fabulous and a touch le malle without its sweetness. Reflection one appears very cool, metallic almost like smelling cold steel. I always thought that these associations were always spoken very figuratively but actually the scent seems cool somehow repellent... unapproachable... reflective...and yet pleasant and interesting.
That is why he is unique and somehow perfect in his own way.

But the question you have to ask yourself is this: "Do you want to be this cool, mysterious, rich Mr. Gray?"
I believe, as it is always the case, that this is a matter of taste and intention. I for my part love fragrances with a deep soul, facets, sweetness and communication potential.
When I wear reflection one, I personally always have the feeling of keeping people away from me, of being unapproachable. These are all character traits that are contrary to my actual attitude towards life. Maybe I see it all much too irrational and many people certainly cannot understand this point, but for me my fragrances are life companions and soul caressers that follow me every day and make my day more enjoyable.

As mentioned above, the fragrance is truly a work of art in its purist simplicity of complexity. Nevertheless he could not touch my heart, because he kept me away from himself with his cool manner. Unfortunately also the H/S on my skin only bad average. (Max. 5 hours on the skin). Also I have to deduct small points, because he left bad oil stains on some clothes. (Very annoying in this price category)
It is really hard for me to give feedback, but in the end I am divided. For me, the fragrance stands between masterpiece and disappointment. I hope I was able to show both sides something and nobody feels personally offended, because that was not my intention!

Nevertheless, in the end there remains a slight disillusionment and perhaps also the insight not to want to be Christian Gray

The hope of specialness
The hope of speciality is something that everyone who orders from Dua has a little bit. I had read a lot about the fragrance and also many YouTubers discussed the Matrix as an excellent summer scent. A very good copy of Shooting Stars - Nio, (whom I don't know) is said to be the Matrix. So don't hesitate and order it, because the résumé was also very positive.
I have now tested the fragrance for a few days and I am trying to share my subjective experiences with you.
The scent starts very cologne-like, citric and spicy, so it's definitely a rather fresh summery scent. Neroli and bergamot are clearly noticeable here. After 10-20 minutes cedar, amber and especially the woods shimmer out. A similar concept as with the well-known Artisan Pure by John Varvatos. First fresh in the drydown then light and pleasant woods. The Matrix, however, as already mentioned above, brings much more Neroli and Amber and also the woods are not so reserved. If this is positive now, every nose has to decide for itself.
The fragrance somehow reminds me of a mixture of Artisan Pure, Mercedes Benz Cologne and Terre d'Hermès. Three fragrances that I like to combine, but at least in the Matrix, they seem too cluttered. For experienced noses it's certainly a feast to smell out and define the nuances. But especially in summer I like it simple and fresh. But Matrix can be very challenging and even exhausting. But I'm looking forward to the summer to use it there and see if I like it more.

Conclusion:
For about 200€ per 100 ml Dua is not a cheap dupehouse. If you are still looking for the right fragrance for the summer and want to save your wallet, you should rather go for Mercedes Benz Cologne, Artisan Pure or Rakaan, which are not much worse/different than the Matrix. Basically still a more solid and somewhat spicy summer scent than the above mentioned ones. Sillage and durability are in the middle range for a summer scent. (5-6 hours) The fragrance will probably be a speciality for me but not anymore.

I hope I could give you a little insight into my experiences with the fragrance. We sniff..

Herod? Wanted by night? Or is it One Million?
First of all I am a little Rasasi fanboy. I think most fragrances have a very good price-performance ratio. Although not everyone agrees with me, I have scents like Hawas or La Yuqawam in my heart.
Because of the scent pyramid I ordered Sotoor - Waaw blind.
When I sprayed on the first one, the spices literally blew me away. The day before I wore Herod from PdM and I was impressed how well the Rasasi fought against Herod in comparison. (at least at the Opening)

I'm not really as good at describing fragrances as so many talented people here so vividly. Nevertheless I try to give you at least a rough idea of the direction of the fragrance to give you an idea in which direction it all goes in the end. (and of course because I have a lot of fun with it)

A fine pleasant light sweet cloud of cinnamon spreads out when sprayed on, accompanied by fine lavender, pepper and a hint of saffron. An impressive opening so much is clear. Nevertheless no comparison to Herod who of course plays in a different league.
More like a mixture of Wanted by night and One Million
The first 15-20 minutes the spices are very present and he projects very strongly. (similar to Wanted by night) Afterwards Sotoor - Waaw sticky sweet on the skin. In my puberty I applied about 10 bottles of One Million (not all at once), so as a "connoisseur" I can already claim that the scent definitely contains a certain DNA of one million, but much more cinnamon and not quite as vulgar.

Conclusion:
So what do you get in the end? A spicy, sweet winter cracker that will certainly appeal to the younger audience. Lovers of Wanted by night and One Million may be able to strike blind here.
Price/performance once again very good! Projection approx. 1-2 hours depending on skin type and spray. Durability approx. 7-12 hours. Once again a great scent of Rasasi although not a masterpiece
