Cool, neat silk
Last week I went to the drugstore to do some last-minute shopping before going on vacation.

In the corner of my eye, I noticed a new perfume brand that I had only recently read about. "Care".

I sniffed around and got stuck on the first scent: Clean Silk. I've been in love with clean fragrances for some time now, and that's exactly what this fragrance is: clean and well-groomed, yet cool and fresh like fresh silk bed linen. Rarely has a name fitted so well.

This is a brand that claims to have upcycled an ingredient in the perfume. I have not yet been able to find out exactly how this works, but in this fragrance it is the rose. In times when sustainability is becoming ever more present and important, this is a good development. Without further ado, I took the fragrance with me, because I always like to support these concepts.

The fragrance itself is straightforward, rather cool and rosy fresh. It has nothing of a musty rose gathering dust - it is much more the rose on which fresh floral dew shimmers and welcomes the early morning. Immediately after a shower, the fragrance is like a fresh start to the day. I can't smell any cedarwood here, just a rosy base component with fruity, almost citrusy splashes.

The sillage is rather close to the body, and the longevity of around 3-4 hours is okay considering the price. Whether this does justice to an EdP remains to be seen.

The rectangular bottle is functional, not a piece of jewelry, but I find the size suitable and is not a visual failure. There are other perfumes whose bottles are less aesthetically pleasing, here everything looks clear and pure, and the glass is recycled - another thumbs up.

Here you get what you smell. It is not a complex fragrance, has no development, is not a masterpiece and therefore has its justification. If it seems too cool, you can layer it wonderfully, I layered it with s Oliver Selected today and love the result. This makes it softer, warmer and rounder, but also makes the S Oliver fragrance fresher and sportier.

Is it a fragrance you have to have? No, not at all. Nevertheless, it was the second fragrance that I absolutely had to have this year. I've been wearing it all the time since I got it. I like the fresh lightness without being too cool. And I like not having spent a fortune. The availability in the drugstore is also a plus.

All in all, a fragrance that is here to stay. Cheers to unspectacular everyday fragrances that only make you smell well-groomed. Understatement is sometimes allowed.

Well groomed from head to toe
The perfume I have known for a long time, and it was never one that I wanted. For a long time I loved loud, oriental fragrances - the more "KAWUMM!", the better.

Eventually, I got tired of my whoompers. Even my beloved Noa started to annoy me, became too strong and I needed a creamy, gentle alternative.

For weeks I sniffed my way through various perfumeries in 3 countries, was always annoyed and wanted a fragrance that I could not describe directly. In my search, it turned out that many associate floral and powdery as creamy, which for me has nothing to do with each other. It may be floral and powdery to it, but the focus should smell like a cream jar.

Even the online search helped little. Again and again Noa was recommended to me or Nivea - unfortunately, the Nivea perfume just does not smell good on me.

At some point I stood frustrated in the drugstore, annoyed and at ahe desperate. I liked soon no more perfume, I felt crushed by too much fragrance and artificiality. I wavered the end of my perfume love.

From S Oliver I already had fragrances, and my hand grabbed first the EDP - unfortunately, it was still too wummsend me. The handle to the EdT was the right thing - I was like in heaven. Creamy, delicate. Light floral notes, in addition tangy (which is usually not my direction), I perceive something citrus.

The fragrance changes little, is cozy and close to the body. No long shelf life, more than 2, 3 hours he is not perceptible.

The bottle is surprisingly clean for a cheap drugstore fragrance, does not look cheap and is a small hand-flatterer. Also in the handbag he is not a bottle that looks quickly angegrabbelt, only the lid gets slowly scratches.

The fragrance is not a perfume for special occasions. However, I wear him immensely happy in everyday life, when I just want to look well-groomed or everything is a bit too much for me. On days when I leave the music off on the way to work and listen to a podcast at most. On days when I can't be approached before the third coffee. Or days on which the colleague has used her Armani perfume again to bathe and I'm already nauseous in the hallway.

Sometimes I wear my perfume only at work, and my colleague likes to call my drawer "the mini-Douglas". And if it should be soft and neat, but not intrusive, this fragrance is my choice.

Nothing, but nothing special at all. And that makes it very special.

No one will be bothered by this fragrance. Probably many find him boring, and that's absolutely fine. A pleasing mainstream fragrance, he has a rightful place on my shelf (or my handbag).

Ice fire
This is a classic case of: Parfumo Made me buy it. I already have two fragrances from the brand Lalique, which I bought blind and love very much. For various reasons, I needed a soul comforter and so I decided to test and order the next perfume.

Unfortunately, I have not yet found this brand locally - in addition, I find most saleswomen in the perfumery as intrusive. So, my trusted fragrance dealer should fix it. He offers fortunately that you can order a sample to the fragrance, so I did not have to tear open the box with the 100ml fragrance (so "kluk" to order the big bottle right away).

With heart head I sprayed the tester on my wrist. I once described the love at first sniff - but here I got myself an ice burn.

I can see why many people love this fragrance. It is not an 08/15 fragrance, and I would really like to be the woman who can wear this scent.

Yes, this fragrance is powdery, but here the powderiness is rather dusty for me. It may be due to iris and patchulli, the latter I often find pleasant, but mostly yet difficult to combine. Moreover, I find it too cold-floral, and floral is not my favorite direction. And that I would ever classify a fragrance as "cold", I would never have dared to dream. And yet it is. Cold and fresh, almost cold-burning, and at the same time powdery and floral. Only after three hours did it develop a creaminess, but I would never call it warm and enveloping either. It's like a cooling veil that surrounds you - the opposite of what I favor in perfumes.

I have never been so disappointed in my sensation of a blind purchase. I always go back to sample, want to love the fragrance. But as someone here described the fragrance: the fragrance is looking for the wearer. And as well as I harmonize with other fragrances of the brand, I am incompatible with this one. Woody notes, unfortunately, I do not perceive on me. And while I said before, at me everything always becomes sweet, so I must say: no, this fragrance is many things, but never sweet.

And when I close my eyes, I see in front of me a woman in a gray pantsuit, blonde, hair accurately pinned up and tough as nails in negotiations. But I haven't been blond for a long time, and I've hung up my pantsuit for a while. I still negotiate, but I don't want to be a badass. In short, I'm not the business woman predestined for this fragrance. I had to learn, and so I'm learning, not to keep the scent just because I ordered it. This has given me many a corpse bottle, which I then used as a room fragrance.

But who loves him, will certainly not want to let him go.

Don't judge the book by its cover!
This is a fragrance that I NEVER wanted to buy. Sheer deep furrows dug into my face as I stomped past it over and over again, sniffing. Where did I see him? I think secondarily, it was available at every drugstore and major grocery store.

I kept thinking Betty Barclay, only in ugly, cheap and undignified. Oh, what was I snobby. Such an ugly bottle I never wanted to stand with me!

And then I read about drugstore fragrances that would be underrated. I think it was even here in the forum - or at the BJ? Anyway, I read about it and felt I had to give this fragrance a chance - yes, give it a chance! He was described as adult and far from the mainstream.

Since I could not find a bottle on site, I ordered it (and his Noir brother to it) and was fully excited.

He arrived and was as ugly as expected. And that is also the negative about him: the look is not appealing, the ball as a lid sits more bad than good. No fragrance you want to display - or you stand over it.

And then I sprayed him on...

Contrary to today's usual vanilla scents, it is not pappsüß or even sticky. Much more we find here a spicy, mature and adult vanilla, far from all popular Gourmands. It has a somewhat oriental feel to it, woozy and confident at the start, but becoming softer and warmer. I smell clove, which I don't really like at all, but in this combination it doesn't seem stale, but feminine and wicked. Floral notes are also subtle, very light, but take a back seat to the woody notes. The base with vanilla, amber and musk is absolutely dominant, with vanilla and amber performing an olfactory dance reminiscent of bygone days and pompous ballrooms. Somewhere there is a plate of vanilla cookies, but not the sweet ones - they are cookies that have as much spiciness as sweetness in them and will be spurned by any child. The connoisseurs, however, dance toward the plate with long strides and wide hoop skirts, accompanied by a hot vanilla liqueur that transforms the room into an auspicious melange of scents, all united in a moment of sensuality and passion. Somewhere someone is smoking a pipe, and the clouds of smoke mingle almost unnoticed with the existing cloud.

This fragrance is not a zero-eight-fuff ten fragrance, although the price suggests that. Much more he acts both mysterious and mature, a fragrance that should not stand any carrier under 30. It reminds me of 90s fragrances in its composition and I wouldn't be surprised if it was designed then. When I allow associations, I think of Gabriela Sabattini or Charly Red by Revlon. And yet these two seem rather aldehyde-heavy, while here everything seems rounded and coordinated, without any scratchy aldehydes at all.

The sillage is decent, but soon loses its obtrusiveness and becomes increasingly close to the body, which I like very much. The durability is okay with a few hours, the next day it is still slightly perceptible in the scarf. All in all, a decent fragrance that could also gladly cost a few euros more in a different bottle. If I consider the overall work, it is a fragrance that positively stands out from the mass of the drugstore. Not a dupe, not a pure fragrance of convenience in the mass of uniformity, not a trivial fruit water. Not a fragrance that I wanted to use every day. But if I do not know what to wear, I reach now and then to this fragrance and was never disappointed.

Thanks to everyone who recommended it!

Not identical with the Bodycream
My first encounter with Rituals was about 3 years ago. Until then I knew the brand, but was never willing to spend 9 Euro for a hand cream.

At some point I was driven to the department store, at that time we didn't have a store on site. There, I instantly fell in love with the Ayurveda scent and the hand cream that goes with it.

At some point my birthday and Christmas were just around the corner. In my circle of friends I scattered the desire to receive products from the range, but I was especially keen on the perfume.

When it was my birthday, there were some gift boxes here (their contents actually lasted until then). And what was I excited about when I discovered the perfume: Ayurveda, the name promising, the bottle simple.

But at the first spray the disillusionment: A nice, arbitrary scent, which is unfortunately not identical with the creams. Plus a shelf life that is more than average. A silage that corresponds to a pillow scent.

Today I use it as bed scent, once a week I spray it on the pillows and blankets while I apply the body cream as care. And to be honest, the cream smells on me much longer than the perfume.

Unfortunately, there is no magic here, only a great deal of arbitrariness. I'm shocked that it's allowed to bear the name. But apparently it's only me who can smell the differences - my husband, however, thinks he would perceive it as identical. I, on the other hand, find it very different and will not buy it again once the bottle is empty
