Short freshness
After I got a selection of fresh scents from the dear Smellow1987 I started to test with Polo Blue.
The initial freshness is convincing, although I don't really like the cucumber that much. Maybe the cucumber is supposed to be the aquatic part of the aquarium? That definitely works better
And the durability is also a little too bad for me
Still a nice everyday scent. Always works, if you like fresh scents.

Does something...
When I opened the wonderful hiking package the other day I could not imagine that I could test this amount of fragrances in a few days.
So I started right away and little by little I realized that I must have a slightly eccentric taste, because the various fragrances were simply too boring for me or they fell into the category of sweet feminine.
So I searched for masculine scents and I also found them. But also here I found nothing unusually exciting at the beginning.....until "At the Barber's".

The smell is different.... strong, masculine, clean and definitely different from the boring designer waters, which, in my opinion, are mostly somehow the same.
The association with a hairdressing salon or barbershop comes immediately to mind...but this is not meant to be derogatory. On the contrary...you have a perfectly groomed "man" in front of your inner eye. And not a suit and tie...as I like to call the gentlemen who think that a suit and a tie make a real man.
Can work... but doesn't have to
Here the emphasis is on groomed, shaved, self-confident.
That's why At the Barber's is certainly not suitable for all ages. A certain maturity should already bring along the man ...;-)
For me an absolutely successful composition. Just something special.... and despite some objections here at the comments, still contemporary, although vintage. For me, this fragrance has nothing to do with Grandpa. There are mustier candidates, even for extremely expensive money and with melodious names.

Found again after years...
I noticed the scent on a friend of mine a few years ago and was immediately hooked... I found the one on him incredibly great." I kept "Guilty" in mind, but then the scent fell into oblivion again
Since I use soap boiling, I come across dupes of well-known designer fragrances from time to time, but nobody was "guilty" of anything. ;-)
Only after I had registered here in the forum it came to my mind to have a look at the composition of the board
And there it is again, the orange blossom and also the pink pepper.
I am truly not a perfume expert, but little by little some fragrances crystallize that one likes and that often contain my favorites.
Well, this combination is not exactly rare and therefore I cannot say what is special about Gucci " Guilty". It is simply the mixture and it fits both in summer and winter. Although I like the fresh scents especially in winter... when the weather and the mood is extremely bad... they lift my spirits
Thereby, Gucci succeeded that "Guilty" is, in my opinion, not a citric, sparkling scent. This freshness is somehow softer, unobtrusive, harmonious, balanced ... for some too weak and unimaginative, as you can see from the reviews.
I think it's an unagitated, everyday scent. Nothing unusual, but for lovers of orange blossom a beautiful, soft composition.
The Gucci Guilty for ladies, however, I, as a woman, can't get anything out of it....but thank God the tastes are different.

Smelled better then somehow...
I also got to know the fragrance in the 80s, 90s.
At least I had learned that it should be Azzaro. The guy was exactly my type of prey and the scent matched him like ass on bucket. However, I remember him being finer, fresher and less spicy, woody, because that wouldn't have suited a guy in his early 20s.
Now, almost 40 years later... next try. I hold in my hands an Azzaro miniature that just arrived at my place...yes...it could be, but it definitely smelled better, different back then. My husband put it on today and I felt it was too much of a good thing at first.
After some time it became more pleasant, but I almost think that it is not the fragrance I liked so much at that time.
I don't know why. Of course, the interaction with the wearer's sweat and skin plays a major role...not every perfume smells the same on everyone. But I am a little disappointed and happy that I did not invest more than in the miniature. It's a pity, the guy at that time smelled really delicious with it...but I definitely prefer my husband, even if Azzaro doesn't have the hypnotic effect on me like it used to...

Old but not old-fashioned... always a suitable companion for seasoned men
Man...i.e. my father already had Tabac Original on the dresser in the bedroom. This bottle must have felt a hundred years old, because he didn't wear it very often. But even as a child I liked the smell.
Today my husband wears it. I gave it to him one day and he liked it right away too
In my opinion, something for the more mature man
I like the woody aura it brings.
The fruity top notes of bergamot, lemon, neroli and petitgrain are unobtrusive and very much in the background. Because in my soap-boiling workshop I have found that one drop too many of these can completely ruin the fragrance. The pepper harmonizes very well with the rest at first impression. Later the woods come out and round off the whole thing super.
What I noticed though...maybe somebody knows that too...I feel that the After Shave Lotion is the original. Bought EdT has a slightly different scent for me, which I do not like. I don't know why this is so. The shower gel is also highly recommended if you want to do without aftershave and EdT. The durability seems to have not changed over the years...very good m. A. n.
