Not the holy grail, but damn close
Vintage and current version - a comparison
A bottle of recent obsession has been in my collection for quite some time and I have to say that I really like this fragrance. The warm and flattering vanilla - omnipresent but not nose-filling - gives the current version a very attractive aura. The fragrance is warm, ambry and slightly spicy right from the start. I cannot grasp herbs or even green notes, rather the Eau de Parfum is underlaid with a fruity orange hint. The impression of a freshly peeled orange peel is tangible. Individual spices, on the other hand, do not want to be revealed to me. For example, I don't notice cinnamon at all on my skin, although I love it very much. It is rather this inviting, benevolent spiciness that makes obsession so irresistible. A very sensual pleasure and even if the reformulation cannot hold a candle to the original, I find both fragrances fascinating and see them as independent orientals in my collection.
The Vintage is even more sensual compared to the current version. Many stories entwine around this fragrance icon. And I also get the impression of eroticism when I sniff it for the first time. No, not subtle eroticism. This fragrance is a vamp, self-confident, radiant, refined seduction and ... yes, sex. No other fragrance is able to create such three-dimensional associations of hot and sweaty skin, damp sheets and (I completely agree with JUMI) wet hair. There's no flirting here. Facts are created here. To be able to wear a vintage obsession, a woman must give herself completely to her femininity. Pride and self-confident grace embody fragrance and wearer. For example, there is this angular, green-herbal start with a lot of incense. Animalic resonates and surrounds the wearer with a (by today's standards) wonderfully unadapted fragrance restaurant. Musk, civet and vanilla meet for a rendezvous of unimagined endurance. In overdose - and this is quickly reached here - he is able to take the breath away from his fellow men. Gently applied, it is a fragrance that has no equal.
If you compare the two fragrances, I would say that the current version with its balsamic feel-good character is definitely suitable for the office but always for daily use. Well-made designer quality with high durability at a top price are combined here.
The VINTAGE, on the other hand, with its irrevocable influence on the limbic system of apparently civilized forms of life and their predatory behavioral changes as a result, is ZWINGEND subject to a weapon licence.

An unpretentious queen
I dedicate this comment to a dear Parfuma, who let me participate in this fragrance. Thank you, dear Walti. Slowly you get me :)
About the fragrance: Rosa Moceniga starts less fresh than I expected. Ok most floral scents show as first citric-fresh notes. But here I mean to additionally hear the tender sweetness of orange blossoms. Right from the start, the fragrance has something fruity and juicy that makes it so incredibly attractive and nasal.
Although I love (and secretly speculated on) the smell of currants, their leaves and especially the fruity scent of the young wood, it is precisely this that remains hidden from my nose. But Rosa M. remains noble in the flower sector and does not slip into the gourmand.
The queen of all flowers is of stronger stature here. There are far more fragile rose scents. Increasingly strengthened by vanilla and amber, the fragrance evolves with linear constancy into a warm, elegant - almost historical - slightly sweetened rose magic. The clinically pure, innocent in many rose fragrances appears less here and I get along with Rosa Moceniga much better than with other representatives of this genus.
Shelf life: 9 hours and longer. Considerable performance
The fragrance trail: Two splashes are enough for me. The Sillage is still very well perceptible in the middle to upper range and the smell from a meter distance. (partner test) Due to its pronounced suitability for everyday use, it is certainly a pleasure even in higher dosages.
Conclusion: A feminine companion, unagitated, accessible and due to its noblesse and decency predestined for everyday use. And even though he didn't steal my booty schema, he was slowly stealing into my heart.

I would like to place Eva Strittmatterter's famous poem before my commentary, because these lines skilfully express all that I perceive olfactorily in La Perla Eau de Toilette.
The fragrance: La Perla Eau de Toilette begins with a soft freshness, a fruity citrus note that reminds me of a juicy mandarin comes from my wrist. Nothing stings or scratches. No riots, no kettledrums, no trumpets. Already here La Perla expresses her calm nature. Soon thereafter, discreet floral chords with a well perceptible freesia join in. The flowers are framed and accompanied by a mild spice, led by carnation and cardamom. In this delicately flowery-spicy stage, the eau de toilette remains on my skin for many hours. The Eau de Toilette is of medium size and therefore a grateful daily companion for office and home. The shelf life survives a working day without any effort. Comparisons to the Coco EdT are quite justified, because both fragrances know how to convince with a flowery spiciness.
The oval bottle of satin glass lies so beautifully in the hand. Only the cheap plastic closure and a small sticker that serves as the perfume's logo do not do justice to this fragrance.
Conclusion: an underestimated autumnal chypre and almost forgotten treasure. He is balanced; radiates peace and contentment full of warmth. High attributes in modern times. And a call to us to take a more relaxed approach to life.
