My most recent blind buy, since I wanted a summer citrus without spending a lot ($75 for 100ml).

Overall I am very impressed. After the initial blast of bergamot, the jasmine and ylang ylang surface, supported by cedar and possibly white musk. At times I thought it could have been more feminine than unisex, but this morning my shirt had a nice, freshly laundered clean scent (maybe similar to MFK’s aqua series). I look forward to wearing this more, especially in the summer heat.

Overall longevity is pretty good (for a citrus). 3 hours with moderate projection, then a skin scent for another 2-3 hours.

I wore the original Le Male in the 90’s and to be honest, smelling it now feels outdated. But this one, while have a little of the original dna, really does deliver maturity and sexinesss without being redundant. Highly recommended!

To be honest, I didn’t really care for Penhaligon’s - my impression was that the house was old fashioned, outdated and irrelevant. Or maybe it was just the bottles and their bow ties? But I was told to try Halfeti and instantly fell in love. I hadn’t found a rose/oud combination that I liked (some were too jammy, others too animalic), but this is just phenomenal. Spicy, warm, slightly sweet and floral, but still very masculine. The sales associate at the store gave me a fabric that she sprayed generously, which lasted at least a week. The dry down revealed a soft patchouli base that I love smelling every time I open the closet door. Expect to receive compliments galore with this beauty.
