My long way to this fragrance
To spoil right away: I am now since a few days proud owner of this fragrance. It was not easy to approach me this fragrance. And that came so:
Although not long fragrance-crazy, I became interested quite quickly in the exclusives of the Guerlain series "L'Art et la Matiere". To get an idea, I started ordering various bottlings of the fragrances. A bottling from SDV was also included. And I was disappointed: such a weak little water with very poor longevity... and then so expensive. That can't be it.
I let some time pass, but the fragrance would not let me go. I tried again with a bottling, and... was horrified. The scent literally smelled like cold ashes, downright disgusting. This time I was sure I had received not just a dilution, but a fake. No premium fragrance could smell that vile.
At some point, I had the opportunity to sniff an original bottle. And I was immediately addicted to the fragrance. I immediately noticed a similarity to Angelique Noire, which I have owned for some time. The beautiful Guerlain vanilla has a clear recognition value. It is not as green in SDV, but a bit sweeter and more alcoholic. The "sweetness" is, however, restrained and nicely rounded with fine incense and spice composed. The fragrance warms and caresses me so really cozy. The longevity is middling, but fine for me. The scent projects quite nicely, but not too much, so it's office appropriate. I will wear it in the fall and winter. Then he is perfect for me.
The bottle has a simple and classy rectangular design with a gold plaque embossed with the name. This is the same with the other fragrances in the series. The liquid has a brownish tint. The fragrance also has this in common with the others.
I am now quite happy to have proven here about perseverance. The fake bottlings have me fortunately not permanently deterred.
I would like to emphasize, however, that here in the souk in the vast majority of cases you meet honest partners who would not cheat anyone. It has also hardly ever happened to me otherwise. I have already met really great people here.

Skin scent? What's that supposed to be?
A nice perfuma had sent me a sample of this fragrance as an addition. "Skin" by Clean Reserve. Neither one nor the other told me anything. "Skin"... I didn't like the name of the fragrance. And then the statements so far... it went all the way up to "Blood Flavor". That's disgusting. But I try all the samples and that's why I try this one. Very, very carefully, of course.
And then... wow! Where is there supposed to be a skin flavor? What is that anyway. I sniff a finely tuned, subtle, flowery-sweet and slightly citric scent that is very pleasant. I immediately like the scent so much that I researched the pyramid of scents and had them added.
The salt, which is often mentioned here, can be felt as a whiff and perfectly complements the sweetness. I wouldn't call him a gourmand.

The scent caresses me and does not push itself into the foreground. You can wear it every day. It doesn't knock anyone out

The bottle is simple and straight with clear lines... ...very "clean". The cap is made of wood. I like that. Not much fuss, clean lines.
He's moved in with me now.

Wallflower? Why?

Please bear with me, this is my first comment. I'm trying

I'd like to dedicate it to a fragrance that has been unnoticed... unjustly, I think.

A year ago, I came across "With Love" by Kaviar Gauche through a Douglas specimen. Until now, I only knew Kaviar Gauche as a Berlin fashion company. Do they know how to smell?

Oh, yes, they can. But there's only one.

The EdP "With Love" has been flashing me from the first moment I saw it. It was a very well-rounded piece of work. I associated "With Love" with restrained elegance and chic from the very first sniff. The fragrance convinces right from the start with a slightly reserved citric and freshness. It means nothing in the nose. Everything is finely balanced. Later it becomes floral and fruity. I'm not (yet) that good at differentiating scents, but the fig is easy to recognize. In the further course one can clearly perceive the woods. Perfect, I think.

The scent remains quite close to the body. It doesn't get on anyone's nerves. It is a scent for me, which is rather unnoticeable at a distance of 1-2 meters. And unfortunately it does not last very long. After 3-4 hours it is over.

And the flacon... great class. The simple straightforwardness of the heavy glass flacon meets the metallic opulence of the cap, which represents a golden, detailed rose. Beautiful.
He will always be one of my favorites.
