Nutella jar in the hutch?
I like the concept behind the Zoologist fragrances. I have also liked some good in the past, but unfortunately you all had a big shortcoming for me: they are much too strong for me.
That can be a fragrance with the theme of an elephant or rhinoceros now really resent, they are also quite imposing animals.
A squirrel scent, on the other hand, sounded pretty promising in my mind. A small animal, nimble, shy, soft, with a comfortable bed and of course a good helping of nuts.

I think that was perfectly realized. That's why I do not really understand the voices that the scent is not loud enough, I think it fits wonderfully to this animal just not so big and to be a little intrusive.
In fact, the fragrance lasts forever on me, just with a rather delicate sillage.

The top note is still a bit fidgety. I smell a lot of nutmeg, some pink pepper and something fresh-fruity, which could be the quince.
That dissipates relatively quickly, and in place of the Zappeligen creaminess, the chipmunk has made himself comfortable.
Briefly, you might think someone left an open Nutella jar in the pantry, but even that association remains gentle and blends well with the other notes.
I almost wished for more nuttiness from other nuts, but that might have been too much.
The scent has a bit of sweetness, but thankfully only as an extra. The first fiddle plays a creamy-gourmandig-woody impression.
On fabric and paper strips I could later smell a distinct animalic and patchouli, on the skin the heart notes last much longer with me, the base mixes in a bit, but does not take over.

A brave fragrance in the respect of breaking out of some expectations in favor of the concept. I find him very successful. Should there ever be a second version, I would perhaps like a little more forest and wet earth and a little less pantry.

no Yennefer of Vengerberg
Anyone who has played Witcher 3 probably knows the chorus of Pricilla's ballad:

"In the morning you flee from my dreams
Bitter gooseberry, sweet lilac
In dreams I see raven curls
Your violet eyes wet with tears"

out of context, it loses its impact, but in the game I found the song very beautiful and heard it many times later.
Of course, that's why I immediately thought of the Yen sung about when I read about this fragrance. She is as far as I remember also the only character whose scent was described at all, and then also often, so gooseberries and lilacs seem to be inseparable from her.

What can I say, though, the scent smells so nothing like the Yennefer from my imagination. It's just too soft and cloying for my taste. It reminds me more of an innocent schoolgirl with pink flower clips in her hair than a powerful sorceress who commands chaos.
I also can't detect a distinct lilac note like in other scents like "Lilac Path". It seems to me as if one had caught a rather sweet gooseberry, which has turned out somewhat powdery, and the lilac does not leave so much room.
Who likes pure, somewhat sweet fragrances, but is well served here.

But it could also be that my skin chemistry plays me here once again a nasty trick. On a paper strip, the scent acts namely quite different. Much more floral, cooler, with an almost almond note. Clear and unpudirg. Much Yennifer-iger ;)

It smells fluffy!
Gucci jumps on the designer-make-exclusive fragrance bandwagon, and they've gone to a lot of trouble!

The concept isn't really that new. There's a range of perfumes, a handful of perfume oils and three fragrances. This should allow you to combine your very own fragrance. The corresponding flacons differed in size, but also in design. And the design, based on antique pharmacy bottles with changing animal motifs, I find somehow kitschy, but nevertheless very delightful, I can't help it!

I admit that the visual appearance has contributed a lot to my interest :D But certainly, regardless of that, I liked the smell of the whole range the best. "Tears of Iris" takes a solid second place.

But what's a squirrel supposed to have to do with mimosa?
According to the seller, the fragrance should reflect the softness of the squirrel tail. (Sounds a bit far-fetched at first).
On the Gucci page is just the squirrel would embody the "energy of the fragrance", and that the fragrance was bright and cheerful.

And how does the happy squirrel smell? Pretty clear after mimosa, but beautiful!
I'm not much of a mimosa connoisseur, but I know "mimosa pour moi" "9.1 Komorebi" and "Almond Cucumber" well. And they all have in common that I don't find them quite balanced and a little too sweet.

This scent is different. Not extremely different, the difference is at first glance rather subtle, but in the consequence and especially in the course it pleases me infinitely much better. He seems really cheerful to me, kind of airy-floral-hop-y. Like a squirrel jumping from treetop to treetop, if you want to try the motif on the bottle even harder.
And above all - no joke - I find it smells somehow fluffy! So in style white soft rabbit on spring meadow-fluffy.
A lively, energetic softness, no simple cuddly sofa.

I can't find winter in this scent any more than I can find pepper. I smell a very fine spring-like mimosa scent, at first with a light almond aftertaste, beautifully unpapig in the course and I think that some green note should still be in the scent, which supports this fine balance.

Beautiful!

Favourite birch wood
After I came across a thread in the forum about this business, which nobody seemed to know, I played pioneer and did some exploring.

A lot of effort was made to give the impression of exclusivity. That's not really my case, but I liked this fragrance anyway.

Unfortunately, the reference on her site to individual perfumes is only to be understood as a choice of X options to customize the bottle. In addition, you can have a mixture of the 25 perfumes they offer bottled (similar to Harry Lehmann, but KuDamm instead of Kantstrasse). So more or less buy a finished perfume.

Unfortunately, they didn't just let me sniff or ask me about my preferences, but let me test the "Online Parfum Sommelier" on a tablet. The perfumes spat out by the sommelier did not really convince me and I found them rather boring.
I was asked what I like, and among other things this scent came out.
And I really like it

I would even say this is the better "Black Saffron (eau de parfum)". It starts off with a nice rosewood-saffron blend. I like it a lot, but it's not too weird at first. But then!
It's not in the notes, but I could absolutely swear there's raspberry in there. And what a raspberry! What I found terrible about Black Saffron (way too sweet&artificial) is missing here. Instead an amazingly natural and not very sweet raspberry. Since I am not a fan of fruity & sweet, I don't know many raspberry scents. For my limited fruit perfume Horitzont this was the most realistic raspberry I've ever smelled in a perfume. (Provided my nose doesn't play tricks on me, and there really is a raspberry accord in there). I had the scent now 3 days ago on my skin. I just brought the test strip again, still smells very intensive, and yes I stick to it, superficially like raspberry

If I was a fruit fan, I might even have bought the scent. But since that will probably never be my line, and I much prefer eating berries, I left this rather heavy and rather long-lasting scent in place. In any case, one seems to find some very high-quality perfumes here. But I also think you can get even better for the prices.
