Nice opening, powdery drydown
Never smelled Bvlgari Tygre so can't compare. But if it does actually smell like BT, why would anyone spend over $300 to smell like talcum powder. I love the combination of freshness and lite citrus of the opening, but the mid and drydown loses that lite citrus and just leaves a nice fresh powdery scent, just that I'm not into powdery scents. Those who like powdery scents, I would recommend it as a blind buy cause it's inexpensive.
I am surprised I don't see a % of powdery in the pie chart Type.
I also feel it's a unisex fragrance, but it still leans toward a male scent.

nice bar of soap clean smell
Strange, the first time I tested it on my arm I got a scent of maple syrup. Maybe my arm had some sweat on it, anyways I wasn't too keen on the scent. No big deal, it was only a .75oz bottle for $7. But after that first try I no longer got the maple syrup scent, just a pleasent bar of soap smell. The closest bar of soap it resemble to me is Lever 2000 original. Nice clean smell, but nothing special.
If you just want a clean smell, it's a good buy.

Stopped at the tire store on the way to the barbershop
Made a blind purchase as I read and seen(youtube) so many positive reviews on Guerlain Vetiver, and with a great offer on ebay for only $9 more for a 200ml than the lowest price I can find for a 100ml, I thought I better jump on it. I know, what dummy buys a 200ml blind buy. I did, and at first regreted it for I wasn't to keen on the scent, but for reason I'll explain later in this review I'm glad I made the purchase.
First of all, the bottle I recieved is the one with the dark green cap and came in a silver box, not the silver cap with the green box.
When I first tried it I didn't like it too much, to me it smell citrusy, but rubbery. Like walking in a tire store that had citrus trees. It also smelled of grass, but not fresh cut grass, but grass with dirt. It does calm down after a while and the rubbery smell becomes a soapy smell, and combined with other notes I do get that nice barbershop smell. I'm not a big fan of barbershop smell, but is a nice smell when I'm in the mood for it, but don't want to smell like that every day. Thankfully, I didn't spend too much on the 200ml bottle, but I still had about 195ml to use. Don't feel like it's worth the bother to sell it, as it's not like selling a bottle of Creed or Tom Ford for big $. So I thought I try to mix it up with another fragrance I have that also didn't cost me much to hopefully take away that harsh rubbery opening and have something different when I'm not in the mood for a barbershop smell. So I took my Savile Row cologne which I like a lot but is a tad too floral, and did a 50/50 mix with GV in an optimizer. I think I created a masterpiece. I still will use GV by it self when I occasionally want that barbershop smell, but my custom GV/SR, I will wear often as its very versitile (work, night out, summer, spring, fall, mild winter days) and smells great.
From a dummy to a genious :)
Should anyone try that combo, it was actually 30 sprays of SR to 25 of GV as I thought the GV sprayer gave out more juice, so I figure that was close to a 50/50 mix. You can get Richard James Savile Row on ebay for $30/100ml, the last time I checked.

Orange Juice (some pulp)
ORANGE JUICE (some pulp). That's what I get in the opening. It slowly fades away but lingers as it mixes with other notes for the first hour or so. The dry down is better as the OJ is very faint and actually goes well with notes of (I'm guessing) musk, amber, and wood.
Never had or tried Creed Aventus or it's other clones as I'm just getting started with fragrances, so can't give Victor 9 a comparison to them. I know by reading reviews or notes of Aventus and it's clones that none have a orange note to them, but pineapple instead. Maybe my note senses aren't up to par with most everyone else, or maybe I got a bad bottle of Victor 9, I'm guessing the former. Anyways I thought it smells good as I gave it a scent score of 8. And at $16 US for 83ml, a good value, if you think of it as a bottle of cologne and not a can of body spray. For it smells as good as an expensive cologne, and much better than a cheap body spray. By the way, it looks like a can but is a glass bottle, with a propellent spray like a body spray.
