A more powerful ARM!
I bought an Amouage men’s sample pack that has Reflection Man in it and have had The Run Way for about a month. As soon as I was able to open the sample pack I looked for RM and spritzed it on the back of my hand. As soon as I smelled it, I smiled. The Run Way and Reflection Man were identical. To confirm, I grabbed my bottle of TRW and spritzed my left hand and, yes, identical. The only differences being: TRW projects stronger and is more linear as RM transitions to a sort of a creamy smooth powderiness—maybe coming from the sandalwood—where the neroli and other citric notes that were screaming in the opening, along with the jasmine, become muted. In TRW, the neroli and jasmine stay prominent the duration of the composition, never quite transitioning. These are the only differences I noticed. If you like the opening of RM, skip that and just purchase TRW as it will stay there and even project better and longer. If you like the ultimate dry down of RM, go with that as TRW never gets there. In any case, I am now a believer in the whole Alexandria hype. Good stuff

A tobacco MUST!
Spritzed a bit from a sample & stuff is UNBELIEVABLY good. The tobacco’s front & center w/ what smells to be violet, tho not listed. I enjoyed it so immensely that I purchased a bottle. I must say that, considering all the notes in this composition, this stuff is so well blended! It smells like a reach for a rich and successful man who’s chic personal assistant picked this out knowing full well the breadth of what this scent evokes.

This scent is rich, full of tobacco—both the smoky and freshly picked type—with citrus, spices, woods, and a mate note that truly complements it’s aromatic tobacco brother by giving it a distinct tea scent. I think this is what I mistakenly smelled to be violet, the combination of the both. The vanilla, I believe, gives it a powderiness while the tonka marries the vanilla to the spices by supporting and encouraging the spice and the creamy smoothness of the vanilla. The leather lends to create a luxurious vibe that I described from the outset . The woods adds to it’s airiness while the amber gives it substance.

To me, it’s a daytime, dress up, year rounder. Suitable for the office (3 sprays on stomach, chest and neck. Paired with a t-shirt and button up). Although I probably would not reach for this on a really cold day. Chilly day, yes. I think it’s ideal for late spring, early summer and early fall. I mainly say this because of both it’s aromatic-ness and it’s soapy aspect (due perhaps to the musk and citrus notes), making this scent radiate clean-put together-man. It’s almost like an oriental fougere—almost because it doesn’t have all the requisite notes to being a true fougere.

To conclude/reiterate: A tobacco lover MUST. If you like intrepid, rich, warm-weather-beastmode (..forgot to emphasize the intensity and longevity of this...) niche, oriental smelling, fragrances, this is one to add to the mantel. A true hidden gem!

UPDATE: There’s a distinct animalic scent in here, most perceptible during the opening, that’s reminiscent of oud. Also, at the end, there’s a spicy vanilla scent. The spiciness smells like frankincense but may be attributed to the tonka bean present in the composition. And there’s also an almost imperceptible leather accounted for as well.

One Of The Best Discreet Beast-Mode Scents On The Market!
Discrete and beast-mode may sound at odds with each other, but only until you’ve applied this would you understand. I put this on about 10am and it stayed projecting well into the next day, as I wanted to test it’s legs. Funny thing is—and this is where the discreet aspect of it comes in—it’s a very mild, unassuming, clean scent. I don’t claim to be the most experienced sniffer among us, so I’m not going go into the nuances of the notes, but this scent is unlike any other I’ve smelled. I think the fact that this is so different and vague there’s virtually no review out there right now on this. I bought a bottle and am thinking on buying another, just in case it goes out of existence. This is easily a year round scent, appropriate for each season and occasion. Although I wouldn’t necessarily reach for it if I were going to a black tie affair, but it’ll still work. It’s just not an ouu and aww’er. I’m extremely curious to know if anyone out there in frag land have tried this and if so, please, render a review on it... until the next one guys ✌️

BEAST mode at its best!
This is one of the best fragrances I’ve EVER smelled. At this point I’m trying to be fiscally responsible in not going back ASAP to purchase it ($300+|75ml). Besides, it’s a fall/winter fragrance (IMO).

Just so you can get an idea as to what this may smell like, the notes are:

TOP NOTES:
Bergamot

HEART NOTES:
Patchouli, Tobacco Flower, Vanilla

BASE NOTES:
Amber, Oud, Sandalwood

When I initially smelled it, right away, I was taken aback by a rich, infused-with-bergamot, tobacco. Not the smokey kind of tobacco but a tobacco evocative of a high end, freshly made, cigar. These are the notes that are automatically discernible in the beginning and throughout. All other notes are supporting accomplices to making this scent awesome. The oud here, believe it or not, is a backseat oud. I say this because the oud doesn’t drive the composition at any point, but is just in for the ride. At least, IMO. Also, it’s a linear scent in that it doesn’t deviate too much from its opening impression, which is not bad to me because it attest to what the Nose conceived and wanted to bring to market.

To conclude: If you’re a tobacco lover, lover of rich deep fragrances, lover of long lasting fragrances with beast mode presence: this is for you. If you guys get a chance, try it. I would like to see what other, more experienced, frag heads think of this overlooked offering from an overlooked house.

Awesome Scent, however, deeply animalic...
It smells of what the listed notes indicate, at least conceptionally, but there’s no way this fragrance smells as good as it does with solely the listed notes. There’s definitely omissions. Furthermore, unless my ignorance of the listed notes handicaps my ability to associate the animalic element — that’s clearly present— then I deduced right.

Ultimately, however, the interesting fact of this scent should be: Of all the other perfume Houses that associated there compositions with any of the same notes, none scored higher than a 7.5. With some scoring even as far down as a 3.3. Also, considering the notes listed, there isn’t a trace of a chemical/synthetic in the juice. BIG testament to Fueguia’s alchemy (no puns! Lol) and claims of being an all natural House.
