Move over Interlude Man, there's a new sheriff in town, bucko. In my opinion, this is the true blue beast. I figured since it's in the 50s today in New York City it's cool enough to spring this. imma keep it real with you guys, out of the hundreds of fragrances that have smelled, it's hard for me to truly have an all-time number one but this comes close and it's definitely top two. It's just something about it, whether its the salt or the resins or the incense or the complexity, because this is basically two different fragrances throughout its life. In the beginning it smells like an evil underwater aquatic pastor that preaches the benefits of eating live dolphins (you know the kind Ursula from The Little mermaid would have attended). And in the second half, I could imagine that this is what Blackbeard smelled like after one too many days in the ocean, smelling of pure sea salt and and sun tanned skin, crew at hand telling him that they should have docked land four days ago, and As the untreated syphilis starts to settle and alter his brain, the cries from his crew are naught but a faint shriek from the mermaids that he thinks hes sailing with. There's nothing that I don't love about this damn fragrance, whether it's longevity(14+ on my skin), the ability to fill a room with only 2 sprays, the sillage I leave behind, the presentation and story behind him; one of what I consider true blue masterpieces.
