Smunitz

This was love at first sniff for me! It does smell like an expensive cotton candy but there is more to it than that. The smell is pretty linear and I typically don't like linear scents. Neither do I like cotton candy (taste or smell). So why did I buy it? This is an amazing fragrance! With all the above, I liked it right away and could not get enough of it since. Very serious crowd pleaser, have not met anyone who did not like it (you could blind buy it and I guarantee 99% you will be happy with your purchase). Very versatile smell, any time of year (except maybe for hot summer days), day or evening, men or women. Very good silage and outstanding performance (2 sprays and you will still smell it 10-12 hours later). It is expensive and also unique, I use it for special occasions but casual use is fine too. A must try!!!

PS Just like Creed Aventus, this one is cloned right and left and the original's still unbeatable if you have a really fine-tuned nose!

This fragrance has a lot going on citruses, florals, musky woods but all of them are just to support the coconut note in order not to make it boring. A lot of people compare it to sun lotion... I'd like to know what lotion they use! :) This scent will grow on you as you realize it is not just coconut and as you discover the quality of ingredient and innovative approach of how it's blended. To me, this is the essential tropical/island vacation scent. I would only wear MI sometimes to alternate. Very classy, timeless and original. it makes me feel like a billionaire when I wear it. Really really nice frag, takes a while to truly appreciate it! Take your time to test it, get a sample. You will not be able to understand it fully by a single spray in the store! :)

PS Some people complain about performance. It lasts 6-8 hours on my skin with good projection for first 3-5 hours, so it is a better performing Creed, in my opinion.

The resemblance with Individuel Montblanc is astonishing! I understand that both were created after Joop Homme that was created 10-15 years prior. I love both and have both but Creed is a better quality scent and Montblanc has more interesting notes in it (raspberry for one). Great scent for winter/fall but can be worn year round. Good longevity but projection is very close to skin scent after 1 hr. My wife's favorite but she can never tell the difference between Creed and Montblanc. They are really that close in the air. I would say if I had to pick one, I would pick Montblanc: the Creed is 4-5 times more expensive and really not 4-5 times better, but if money is no object, go with Creed, it does have a premium quality edge feel to it :)
Overall, perfect office/casual or date scent as the projection is not too strong and it is a compliment monster!!!

Nice watery green spearmint with a hint of green tea in the background. Yes, there are some woods at the base and some florals far on the background, but green spearmint is the major note!!! This is spearmint done to perfection, I must have tried 10-12 different mint-themed fragrances and I can attest this is by far the best. The tricky part is to have a pronounced mint note but not to make it smell like oral hygiene product. Menthe Fraiche accomplishes just that: the mint is so real that it almost feels like you just bathed in Moroccan Mint iced tea :) Surprisingly good performance too (5-6 hours of active projection) with longevity going into 8-10 hours (skin scent at the end). By no means it is a beast in projection. This is not a very intense but rather light, uplifting and very inoffensive but noticeable, likable scent! Very refreshing and great hot weather alternative to citrus based freshies. If you like what I am describing, this fragrance is a safe blind buy! It is worth every penny and no other scent is even close if you look at the list what it is compared to, none of them is remotely near Menthe-Fraiche!!!.

PS As with many new direction fragrances, this one is unisex and borders a little with home fragrance. Be aware to be comfortable with all the above but this is a great great frag!!!

If you ever smelled Noble Fig by Ferrari, you could say this is the luxury version done to perfection. I am not a big fan of fig but this is blended so well and just smells so expensive that I could not resist. Fig note is a synthetic one, so the challenge is always to make it strong enough to last and yet not too strong to avoid getting cloying. This does just that! Good projection and longevity for EDT. Fig and Iris play major roles in this one. There are green notes on the background (but not tart, bitter fig leave green like in Phylosykos), very smooth and most likable out of all fig fragrances I know. Overall very safe choice for summer scent, unisex, can dress it up and down. The fig note here is very refined and exquisite, so if you don't like fig frags, still give this one a try: most likely, like me, you'll end up buying it :)
