You're different
You are headstrong and have a strong character.
You're not quiet, but you're never pushy.
You leave a lasting impression,
without wanting to ingratiate you.
You waited for me until I was ready to get involved with you.

You welcome me with a warm hug.
Let me take a seat in front of the fireplace and enjoy the pleasant warmth.
While you talk about your herb garden, you make me tea and I take the scent of chamomile, sage and bergamot.
You care for me, cover me up and let me rest in a feeling of absolute relaxation.

For over 30 years Aromatics elexir has been my faithful companion and I admit,
that I've struggled a little at first with this extraordinary scent.
In the beginning I perceived it much more pleasantly in other people.
The aura surrounding its bearers held a fascination that captivated me.
The fragrance trail was enough to make me feel good.
In myself I felt the aromas, like too tight a grip.
Whether it's the habituation or the dosage, I can't say, but in the meantime I feel pleasantly carried by this elixir.
All I do is perfume my wrists. Anything else would be too much.

In 1972, Aromatics elexir was the first perfume to make use of the findings of aromatherapy.
Relaxing and stimulating components are in perfect balance and subtly influence the mind.
It is said to contain over 90 incredients, although I can only determine a fraction of them.
Oak moss, patchouli, vetiver and bergamot I take was clear.
So are chamomile, rose and ylang-ylang.

I'll leave it at that.
An artistic creation it is
and sometimes I wonder if Jean Baptiste Grenouille didn't have his fingers in the game ;-)

My magical dream
When Magie noire was launched in 1978, I was still a student, wearing a dark dress with mystical paintings almost daily and reading Tolkien, while the scent of incense sticks was wafting through my room.
For the first time I saw the advertisement for the fragrance in a magazine and thought: that's the name of the perfume I want to buy.
Instead I wore viscous patchouli from India and a musk scent from the drugstore.
It was to be three years before I actually met Magie noire and I knew that I wanted to wear this scent.
It was a dull autumn morning when a classmate entered the classroom and ended the sadness with an opulent, sweet-spicy cloud.
When I asked about her fragrance, it came like a gentle purr over her lips:
Maahschie nuarrre.
During the pre-Christmas period we planned a one-week study trip to Heidelberg.
We rented a youth hostel and moved into a room with six girls.
The first days were tightly organized and left no time for activities of their own, but the fourth day left room for a stroll through the city.
We were all looking forward to it, because everyone had a little pocket money with them.
In the night I slept restlessly and heard wolves howling in my dreams.
That I hadn't dreamed turned out the next morning.
Our hostel was next to a zoo and the wolves had met on the full moon for a rendezvous.
I finally took this as an omen to visit a perfumery in the city and to fulfill my long-awaited wish.
30 ml of precious liquid.
On the last evening we all met for a cosy get-together in the party room of the house.
We had a few nice, carefree hours.
The evil awakening followed on the return to the room.
One of us had forgotten to lock the room and my friends looked stunned into their empty wallets.
Bitter tears flowed.
There wasn't much more to get from me.
Fortunately I found my treasure undamaged in the culture bag.
Since then I have known that one should not wait too long to invest in what is dear to one's heart.

I still love this fragrance.
I find it difficult to recognize individual notes.
Very quickly everything combines into a delicious composition.
Black currant and raspberry I suspect in dried form.
Green notes and hyacinth are already in liaison with honey at the beginning, which contributes with a pleasant sweetness until the end.
Flowery accents of ylang ylang and rose I take was, not inconspicuous followed by patchouli and oakmoss.
The shelf life is terrific.
Even after 24 hours I take a spicy sweetness on the skin was.
The Sillage is, as already mentioned at the beginning, also above average.
Sure, the scent changed after its reformulation.
Its power has become softer and quieter.
Yeah, well... maybe that's why we're a good match.

Old girls like to cuddle too
No, I don't want to be 21 again.
Not looking for me the way I want to be, but happy to be the way I am.
And yet there are days when I feel thin-skinned -
Seeking peace to withdraw me.
Or there are the sunny, happy days. They are unspectacular, but absolutely harmonious, in harmony with me and the world.
Whatever the mood. I like to use this scent every now and then.

The first impression is at first somewhat synthetic. Just as if peach, cinnamon and cardamom had to find their way through the Celophan packaging. But it evaporated quickly.
Soon the top note forms a harmonious connection with the skin
with cardamom and cinnamon discreetly restraining themselves.
Ylang-ylang and iris line up in a flowery fragrance. The pistachio blossom comes with nutty accents. Not heavy, but slightly almond.
The lasting impression is dominated by heliotrope, vanilla and tonka bean. A slightly woody note prevents the fragrance from becoming too sweet.

Be 21 is a pleasant feel-good fragrance with good durability and silage.
It creates a positive atmosphere and invites you to snuggle up.
And when my husband, with whom I have been together for 39 years, then takes me in his arms and tells me how well I smell, then yes...I feel better than with 21...;-)

Today it must be chocolate
It is a cloudy, rainy day and I think already in the morning :
Today it must be chocolate.
Not much, just a little bit.
I go to the bathroom, see the beautiful bottle with the bow and the red-brown
Liquid - why not spray?

Already the prelude is very substantial.
Orange blossoms and jasmine form a sweet, creamy enamel.
A little fat perhaps, but after some time the blackberry finds its way and a fruity, slightly sour note comes into play, which gives the treat more facets.
Patchouli ground this gourmand and lends a lasting depth
A vanilla impression echoes.

In the evening I take a look at the list of ingredients and am very surprised.
Contains no chocolate and no vanilla.
All low carb, but pleasure

For a short hug...
'La vie est belle' polarized.
Many love him and can't get enough of him..., others avoid the wafting wafts of fragrance that can be found in high doses in many places.
Mainstream is regarded as uncool and can also be a nuisance.
When I have to take cover between perfume shelves because the atomizer is used to diesel in a large area, I suspect what is going on in some bathrooms.
But as they say, the dose makes the poison.
I like 'La vie est belle', its fruity warmth. Not every day.
But sometimes I say:
Come to me, beautiful.
Embrace me for a short moment, accompany me with your scent and let me feel:
Life is beautiful
