I was never a fan of Le Labo, but now, slowly I start to like some of their scents. Even Santal 33 no longer smells like sour cucumber water with dill, but quite herbaceous and pleasant.
Anyway, back to Baie 19, when I first tried it, the lady from Le Labo warned me to be careful because the scent can be very weird and unpleasant. I must say that for me Baie 19 smells unusual and interesting but not bad at all. It may be that I am influenced at my current love for green I love it mostly in the cool and damp autumn days.
For me the smells:
a) like damp earth, with crushed tree leaves and grass/herb roots. It reminds me of my childhood where I often had to help in the garden. Not the most exciting thing as a child, but now as an adult this smell brings me a kind of melancholy. It's like a mixture of garden wet earth smell and forest in autumn.
I'm not a big fan of patchouli except for the patchouli here and in Bianchi's Sticky Fingers. I'm also not a big fan of the real petrichor (smell after the rain) but Baie 19 to me smells excellent.
b) Sometimes when outside is warmer, I perceive it as very dry...like rain in the city...on the concrete/cement after a very dry week.
In my opinion, this is a very interesting scent that is not liked by everyone but what is good about it is that not many would wear the scent and so you/ I can smell more unique.

Love at third sight
No real forest with real smelling currants (as for example in L'Ombre dans L'Eau) but instead a beautiful fairy tale forest that also reminds me of East European fairy tales (like another one)
More suitable (in my opinion) for the colder days than for 20+ degrees. I find that in the heat smells a bit too girlie (red fruit gum ) and you can underestimate him....at least that's what happened with me.
Now that it's snowing outside (crazy April) I love it because the currant, although still sweet (jammy) leaves free space for the green notes (currant leaf and rosemary) and the wine and rum and pepper/fir tree smell.
The bottle fits very well to the fragrance.
i love this fragrance because it reminds me of my childhood, it makes me happy (like a child) and because I can let my imagination run wild when I wear it

Date with a stable boy
I love that smell! My God, how appealing but also repulsive it can be! At least not for every nose... I believe that here in Germany/Europe not many people can understand such a scent because for many of us such a scent "stinks" (unfortunately). But for me it is enough divine...F. Bianchi is simply a genius!
For me the smell is like horses, stable, leather saddle, honey... that's why I am reminded of a sexy stable boy/stable girl...hehe
The honey on my skin is very intense and rounds out the other notes.
The so-called "stench" I can only smell strongly at the beginning but my friend says that when he walks behind me he can smell it very intensely.
In the heat the honey is stronger than now in autumn but now it is easier to carry
My signature has become fragrant, but I can't wear it at work because I don't want to disturb my colleagues. But at home or after work it is almost always with me.

Tomato leaf, lime, frozen metal stick
Because I love the Escentric Molecule 04 fragrance, I also love DKNY Women.
Sure, many would say that it smells very synthetic and maybe much too strong and "rough" and "scratchy" ( not feminine, gentle )... but that's exactly what I like about this perfume. It is not mainstream, but very modern and lively...it reminds me of a skyscraper... Minimalist, cold, highly modern, metallic.
In my opinion one of the best fragrances for 30 plus degrees and totally unisex... Funny how it's called women.
Although there is no lime in the notes, my nose can smell it very clearly. If you know the Escentric Molecule 04, where perfumer Geza Schön uses grapefruit and metallic notes or Acqua Colonia Lime& Nutmeg (also made by G. Schön) which is a modern cool-citric scent, then you will surely like DKNY Women Energising EDP.
DKNY Women Energising EDP is not for everyone but if you want to try something more "edgy" but not expensive, that would be a good start.

Journey back to my childhood garden
After Philosykos and Tam dao , my 2 favourite fragrances of Dyptique, L'ombre dans l'eau surprises me with its beautiful natural smell. I do not know how diptyque always manages to present nature in a fragrance form with so much precision...
The smell of currants I know and love since my childhood, the leaves have a very interesting smell (somehow similar to tomato leaves), the sweet rich smell of rose is also very authentic
For me it smells very feminine and somehow seductive
