I am currently working a lot on the topic of oud and I am also looking for a fresher scent that still doesn't lose the mystical magic of oud. Basically, I'm more of a fan of sweeter, slightly animalistic oud and not the full buzz. Since I have heard so many good things about the Royal Oud, I directly took care of a sample.

After the first application I wasn't really enthusiastic, but I thought it would be with time. After about an hour, of course, everything settled and developed a bit and now there remained a musk base with a slight wood note and a bergamot, which in my opinion was unsuitable.

Unfortunately I will not get this scent, because I do not find it well mixed and somehow also boring. The durability and the performance are good, no question, but if the scent itself doesn't fit, it doesn't help you either.

The Oud Royal from the Armani Privé series shows me again how different oud fragrances with similar notes can be.

It opens with a beautiful saffron note and over time really develops into a woody fragrance with a distinct myrrh and frankincense note, the saffron is naturally preserved.
All in all it is a warm and mystical combination with that certain animalistic oud touch, which fortunately is not too wild.

I like it! But it is rather something for the cooler months, because he already performs well and some can get a little negative in the nose.

Take a Colonia Essenza from Acqua di Parma, throw a little sandalwood and some spices in it and you get Colonia Sandalo. At first I thought I had applied the wrong scent, but no, those who love Colonia Essenza or like it and are looking for a more masculine version for the transition months or winter will be very satisfied with the Colonia Sandalo. The basic scent DNA is identical from my point of view.

The performance, i.e. durability and projection are a bit better than with the Essenza. The initially rather fresh notes develop over time into a rather spicy and woody construct

An interesting fragrance with the typical Acqua di Parma DNA.

First of all, I am not a huge fan of fresh scents, but rather of vanilla gouramands. Besides, I have the problem that a lot of newcomers are almost stinging in my nose.

When I first applied Bleeker Street I thought it was one of those and it almost had a mainstream designer appeal, but that went away after about a minute. Fortunately, it turned out to be a greenish, fresh scent with a touch of freshly showered and a green note.

It develops from a green newbie to a fresh greenling. So he starts out fresher and becomes greener and calmer with time, if that makes sense.

Although I'm not the type for fresh perfumes, I can recommend this one.
The durability and projection is really remarkable for a fresh scent.

I found the scents of the Blu Mediterraneo - Mirto di Panaria really very interesting, which is why I ordered a sample directly.

The fragrance starts out very prominent and fresh, settles through the woods after a while and gets a little warmer. Basically the cocktail of citric notes is in the foreground, mixed with a little lilac. Unfortunately I don't notice anything of the promised basil.

The performance, i.e. durability and sillage are in need of improvement. After about one hour you can't perceive them in the air anymore, but you have to smell them about 2cm from the sprayed area. A pity.

For me the fragrance is unfortunately nothing, although I like the warm base in combination with the citric note for the summer, here is something that feels a bit pungent in my nose. I have already noticed this with many fresh scents and therefore I will not get it.
