For a long time I didn't have Jo Malone on my screen, of course you have seen it at the airport or in London every now and then but never heard of it.
In Berlin in the KaDeWe I snooped through and got stuck on a scent. Myrrh and Tonka. It was my first experience with incense and I was and am really positively surprised. I like to associate scents with places or other memories and this dark, mystical scent made me think a little of the two Sherlock Holmes movies with Robert Downey Jr. The "scent mood" simply made me think of the mood in the film. Secret societies, dark, narrow streets and something rough.

The interplay of incense, a subtle floral note and just on the tonka bean, coupled with a slight sweetness makes this fragrance really unique and fits wonderfully in the transition months or even in the winter. Fortunately it is not overly sweet or heavy, so you can wear it quite often when you want to get into its mystical Sillage wrappings. It has a good durability and can fill smaller rooms well, but more like lighting a big scented candle.

A great fragrance for those who are looking for something different, maybe even when you go out in the evening.

On a wonderful Sunday for a barbecue, I made a date with a friend who has been testing a lot of perfumes lately. On said Sunday we were sitting at the table and he gave me two samples without me knowing which direction it would go. One was Oud for Greatness by Initio and Shaghaf Oud.
Unfortunately the Oud for Greatness did not appeal to me at all, I can only describe it as a too pungent smell in my nose without knowing exactly which note disturbed me.

The other arm (Shanghaf Oud), on the other hand, was a real pleasure from the beginning to the end the next day. It opens sweetishly rosy and over time a wonderful woody note develops in this mix.
All in all, the fragrance is of course not suitable for the summer, as it is already very heavy and also has a damn good durability.

At first I did not know how much or little the perfume cost and assumed that you had to put 150€ for 50ml on the table and order it for 25€ (60€ RRP) for 75ml. Simply a crazy price/performance ratio!

Now, if you're worried about smelling like Granny through the rose, I can put your mind at rest. Shaghaf Oud is in contrast to his comrade-in-arms Shaghaf Oud Aswad really rather woody, powdery and sweetish and the rose is noticeable but in a very pleasant way and not the main note as in Aswad.

So I can really recommend the Shaghaf Oud to everyone who is enthusiastic about sweetish woody scents!

Ich erinnere mich noch gut an den Tag, an dem ich London for Men das erste Mal gerochen habe. Ich stand mit einer Freundin im Douglas (so hat doch jeder angefangen :p) und habe mich ein wenig durchgeschnuppert. Irgendwann bin ich auf diesen Flakon, der neben den anderen Parfüms doch herausstach, gestoßen und musste ihn probieren. Es war später Herbst und man hat sich schon ein wenig auf Weinachten vorbereitet, von daher habe ich mich direkt in diesen Duft verliebt. Er strahlt eine herrliche Wärme aus ohne dabei extrem schwer zu sein, wie viele andere gourmandige Düfte. Ganz Oben eine tolle Zimtnote, die wirklich fabelhaft zu Weihnachten passt und generell ein schönes, kleines Feuerwerk an Würzigkeit.

Die Sillage ist zumindest auf meiner Haut besser als es die Bewertungen (6.2) vermuten lassen. Natürlich füllt man damit keinen Raum, aber wenn man sich mit einer anderen Person unterhält und etwa einen Meter Abstand hat, wird er noch wahrgenommen und hat mir schon einige Komplimente gebracht.

Perfomancetechnisch ist der Duft wie bewertet (6.7) nicht herausragend, aber deutlich besser als viele frische Düfte, die man gefühlt jede Stunde erneuern muss. Etwa 3-4h gute Wahrnehmung kann man mit diesem Duft erreichen.

Zusammengefasst ein schöner, warmer und maskuliner Duft mit klarer Ausrichtung auf die Weihnachtszeit oder wann auch immer man etwas Zeit in Geborgenheit vor dem Kamin verbringen möchte.

I smelled the Acqua di Gio pour Home for the first time in Rome and that describes the environment in which this fragrance feels really good. Whether day or night, in summer it is a real classic with great freshness. But the Profumo is a little bit better ;)

The Dior Homme Intense comes in a really massive bottle that makes a good impression. The atomizer is made of metal and very solid! The fragrance is a little too intense for everyday use, but it's perfect for going to events or a date in the evening with a chic outfit
