Good but Weak
This is a fragrance where there is a huge difference between the EDT and EDP. I couldn't stand the EDT but love the EDP. I started out sampling but ended up buying a full bottle of the EDP.

I'm going to admit that I don't really know what a fig smells like. I do know what coconut smells like and I don't get a heavy coconut smell out of this. It must be mixed very well, because neither the fig or coconut is overpowering.

What I do smell is a VERY green fragrance. It reminds me of the smell of breaking open a new green branch on a maple tree in the spring.

The fragrance is good but unfortunately, at least on me, it suffers sillage and longevity problems. Even with 6 or so sprays of the EDP, it's a soft fragrance with only moderate longevity. I bought it direct from the Diptyque website, so I'm sure it's not counterfeit and I highly doubt that it's old stock - it's just the way the fragrance is.

If you like a soft, green fragrance with moderate longevity, buy it but as far as I'm concerned, I won't rebuy based on how weak it is.

Fresh, clean, green and woodsy.
Quite honestly, prior to this fragrance, I'd never heard of LaPerla and this was a bit of a surprise - I didn't expect it to be so good.

This is a very versatile fragrance that can be worn anywhere at any time, This is, without question, a "safe" office scent.

It's very fresh, clean, green and woodsy.

The lavender and magnolia combine very well to bring out that fresh, somewhat out-of-the-shower clean smell; although I smell virtually no individual flowery scent, as you might expect with a magnolia combination.

The green portion of the fragrance is evident, although not to the degree of an air freshener or candle. It's tempered with the oakmoss to bring out a the nice, more moderate composition. I smell no cedar or vetiver.

Sillage and longevity are moderate on my skin. It projects about 6 inches away and while I get 6-8 hours of it, others expresses excellent sillage and longevity. Apparently, it varies by individual.

All in all, if you can find a bottle for a reasonable price, it's hard to go wrong with it. It's been discontinued and I recently saw a listing on Ebay with someone asking $189 for a bottle of it.

Wonderful
Excellent. VERY similar to 24 Gold by Scent story, except this one has a bit more of a masculine edge to it. Well worth buying.

Just Like A Leather Shop
This smells like brand new leather goods at a leather goods store, which, in my opinion, is a very nice smell.

A Masterpiece
I LOVE this fragrance so much!

The pepper and incense seem to be the most dominant ingredients with the woods being the secondary elements. It's slightly sweet and slightly powdery as well.

Sillage and Longevity are tremendous and I can smell it on myself for many hours without becoming anosmic to it. Two or three sprays is all you need. Expect a minimum of 10-12 hours out of it.

Amouage seems to be hit or miss in their releases to me and while some may think Jubilation is their crowning achievement, in my opinion, Epic Man is their masterpiece.

The only drawback to Epic Man is the price. I realize that $290 for a 100ml does seem to be a bit crazy but on the plus side, it will take a very long time to use the bottle up.

Is it worth it? To me, it is. I've spent quite a bit of money on other things that I enjoyed far less. Would I rebuy? Without question, yes.

Epic Man will always have a welcome place in my collection.
