Occasionally I wake up at night, can't get back to sleep right away, and then sometimes think of perfume. Outside of this forum, I would not tell anyone. And so it was just once again: Sleepless in South-East Lower Saxony. On my wrist still a hint of Eau de Missions, my winter bedtime scent, which I had sprayed on a few hours earlier. Still soothing and cuddly as the down blanket around me. For this fragrance is made as for the nightly silence.

My other fragrances lack this potential. They may be more expressive, have chicer bottles or better durability. Eau de Missions has none of that, doesn't even have any significant development. At most, it's more layered when sprayed on, when it has that slightly alcoholic liqueur note. It's like mixing Jägermeister with cough syrup and sugar and warming it up, at least that's how I imagine it. In the first few minutes, it even reminds me of the adorable Angelique Noir, which I -unfortunately- only know from testing it over and over again. But after 10 minutes at the latest, Eau de Missions has already reached the slightly sweet, vanilla-tart-spicy stage, which I love so much. Protective and cuddly. And so it remains, only becomes gentler and is gone in the morning like a good, secret lover.
In this sense: ceep calm and cheers for silent heroes!

Musk scents, animalistic, sexy, even dirty, loved by many. Not only do they seem inappropriate to me, but I usually find them really unpleasant. Is it the legendary skin chemistry that tells me that I urgently need to take a shower and use something fresh to make the dull powder musk cloud disappear? Can anyone understand me? Am I alone?

The bottles of N R are all successful, so straight-lined and heavy, scandi design almost. I wanted to own one of them, but: see above...

And then a final test, Rouge, who almost dances out of line in a fiery red tutu and has conquered my heart by storm.

When spraying on a clean looking iris, soft and sweet, a treat, even the fine spray mist. Rose only quite tenderly in the background to happiness. The main actor is, of course, my previous boss, the musk. But here he has his beautiful appearance, present, but not overwhelming like a forced embrace of older ladies that I sometimes had to endure as a child. Instead a light musk scent, creamy, clean, warm. Pretty soon very close, that makes the fragrance attractive and sensual in a subtle way, without wanting to call it sexy. Rather tender, cuddly, instead of hot and demanding. Seductive AND clean, that's what a fragrance has to create first! Rouge can do that and is for me the Doris Day among the fragrances overdoing it should not overdo it with the dosage, otherwise this effect is gone. The fluffy-sweet mosquito breeze attracts for hours. Love it!

Sometimes, if I'm honest: most of the time, after a working day, mr is plunging me into the depths of the sofa with 2 sprayers Eau de missions, together with Dr. Oe. (Pizza) and Inspector Columbo. For reasons of reason I don't do this, of course, but instead pack my sports bag bravely. I don't feel like leaving for five Pfennig, but now I have an ally: Gingembre!

Because this smell works like a flywheel for me. It serves only for my refreshment and revitalization of the senses, because this mood enhancer has hardly Slllage. Also the durability is very short, even for an eau fraiche. But enough to get me going on everything I need to get up for, perfect for the ride to the gym.

In the summer I like to use my Arden tea scent or the Rochas, but both I find very "cold". In winter it may be fresh for me, but with a touch of warmth and sweetness. Now Gingembre comes into play, because that's exactly the way he is. Fresh, but not only. Fresh and warm. The ginger does not bring the expected spiciness, but still some warmth. Of course there are other components, but I would have to press my nose onto my skin after an hour to get a glimpse of something.

Ginembre smells absolutely natural, by the way. Nothing stings, nothing disturbs, no artificial WC freshness. Although the scent is favourable, it does not smell cheap.

If I want a fresh and long-lasting fragrance that others can also perceive in me, then other newcomers come into play. But they're not marathon runners either, at least not mine.

Ginenbre works only in ultra short distance (100 m). There it is for me but the Usain Bold!

Or: The search for Mademoiselle right

Coco mademoiselle, this fragrance has been inspiring me for many years, but has disappeared from my small collection for quite some time. But not from memory! So for a few weeks now I've been sneaking around the Chanel counter again and can't decide which Fräulein should accompany me home. Each has its own charm.

The "normal" edP, which I had and loved years ago, I feel now as quite loud, almost already obtrusive, so it would not be used so often. Too much for the office, too much for dinner dates, too much in summer, oh, I don't know, the 90s are over - sadly. This insane situation makes the edP so difficult, so unfit for everyday use for me. A class fragrance, but no, you're not for me anymore.

Candidate 2, the edT: so fine, so noble in fragrance and at the same time wonderfully uncomplicated, friendly and cheerful, here I can spray to my heart's content. Durability and Sillage are made for the summer. Classy princess charming: it may be you...

And now candidate 3, you beautiful woman who printed herself "intense" on her dress and let me puzzle at first, whether this is apparently exaggerated or only apparently. Because more and more is expected with "intense", which should hardly be possible or necessary here in relation to the normal edP. So what's intense here? Right in the top note, the mademoiselle is unmistakably at the start, this fragrance with a strong recognition value. But creamier, rounder, just great! The durability is as expected good, especially on clothing. The Sillage on the other hand is only discreet, even with 4-6 sprayers the scent doesn't annoy, but caresses me and all who come close to me. For hours! And all this makes this mademoiselle intense a perfect companion for so many occasions! Whether restaurant attendance, family celebration, seminars, party, this smell fits, always nobly, sophisticated, very closely, attractively. I'm going into raptures!

Intense! This expression, here it is only apparently wrong, because the fragrance has many qualities that make it intense. A murder situation is rightly not one of them.

If the hype about him were to subside now, that would be nice. But that's the other side of the coin.
