This is an elegant tuberose scent that remarkably resembles my 1960s bottle of Fracas Extrait I treasure. Its signature is more modern, but still smooth and rich seductive tuberose. Its gorgeous, haunting and elegant.

When i blind ordered this I thought, this ws going to be an excellent perfume or a disaster looking at the notes. Then i saw the name Caron...ok im in!

Extremely clever scent composed by Francoise Caron.
From the name, oh.. its "just me" from the unique composition. Leather, jasmine, pineapple swirl about with enormous silage out of the bottle sometimes you smell the leather, or the pineapple,a peppery ginger note adds spice the ylang and jasmine heart steers this citric oriental with vanilla musk..with honeyed chocolate notes for fun..wait waaat?!

This is a definite love it or leave it scent but blended and composed so skillfully, this intrigues the calloused perfumistas. Im not vibing on the angel references, but i am reviewing a 1997 perfume, and perhaps the melange of odd notes bring its comparison to Angel, but fear not, it is definitely not related to Angel. I will add this can be a polarizing scent because it is so different. But thats why i like it...

I really love this. It is .. Just Me. So clever ...and im off to obtain a full bottle somewhere...

Blue edp mini
Oh that big sizzling neon 80s sour electric fruity rose.
Montana is a myriad of ideas thrown in a blender and served up shaken, not stirred. The star on me is the big neon damascone rose which is also found in Magie Noire and Nombre Noir.Marigold and bitter fruit opening into the sour rose with the animalic creamy leather. Its just huge, over the top , sharp edged like the leather shoulder padded skirtsuit of the working girl of the 80s.

First formula splash edt update:

not as crisp as the edp..but well rounded and a complex beauty. The sour rose push pulls against the bitter marigold and the leather with the animalics support this gigantic opus. According to the insert it states: "the fresh spicy top noted are contrasted with the wooded, floral, warm and sensual base notes where musk and amber melt into the skin. Cyprus, spicy musky, avant garde."
This one can last 24 hrs. Can totally see Kim Katrall in Big Trouble in Little China wearing this as well as Tramell.
Note: it thrives best in cooler weather

Marfa is a beautifully modulated white floral with an agave nectar to add sweetness and freshness to the tuberose and orange blossom. It never veers too sharp, a bit dry leading it to unisex potential. Very long lasting, quality experience, and unique in its style. It will be noticed in a good way.

Iris isnt one of the notes I usually go gaga over. It has an austere coldness that makes me a bit disturbed in general. When I tried Malles Iris Poudree, I was pleasntly surprised about its deftness, care and use. If Iris is your game, you need to check this one out. Im not sure it gets better than this.

I just couldnt handle the opening grapefruit, powdery violet lipstick note. Its a plastic rose and not retro at all. Its a quirky feminine scent..a Betsy Johnson type could rock this...sadly not me.

So light, lithe and dreamy.
It seems white lilac sways in the wind in this airy fresh presentation. Cucumber and aquatics keep this perfect for Spring and Summer. Its not a classically green fragrance more like a morning dew feel. Elegant.

I tried this in store with the preliminary reviews in mind. Its a hazy, white -floral melange. Its bright, but easily forgotten. No wow factor but would be a great worksafe scent. I dont think anyone could be offended smelling like this. Gabrielle as in Gabrielle Chanel? Its not.

A bitter aldehyde opens with clary sage herbal feel opens the dry presentation. Antelope was very chic in the 50s-60s. A soapy lilly of the valley, lilt of rose and faint jasmine open the heart atop a dry vetiver, oakmoss and musk base. Austere, powdery, animalic-ambergris,civet, musk, vintage leather tones and minimal floral is the idea behind antelope. It grows on you.

If your into Lentheric Tweed or Cabochard- this middle ground grassy classic is for you.

Chamade reminds me of the Kim Novak blondes.
Put together, a bit formal but oozing in warmth and quiet sensuality. Chamade belongs alongside First By VCA, another warm floral, Vivre by Molyneux (worn by royalty) and YSL Y (worn by Julie Andrews..more royalty you could say) .

Hyacinth was known as a luxurious flower to be put into fragrances back in the 60s-70s. The balsams, woods keep a powdery warmth and inviting comfort and sensuality to Chamade, and also is brilliant in the way it never veers to sharp like the others mentioned in its similar cohorts, yet accomplishes to feel fresh, luminescent and green in its starting phases, then taken over by a velvet rose and a hint of jasmine. Its just ...exquisite.
