I have had the pleasure of testing the new Los Angeles from Gallivant in advance. Dear Nick (founder of the company) has already sent a few samples in advance. The whole customer service of this company is great! This must also be mentioned :)

Now for the fragrance:
LA starts fresh - great for the midsummer we're experiencing right now. I guess that's where eucalyptus makes the difference. After a few minutes a strong tuberose gum note is added. Well, tuberose and I are at war. This nasty plant always gives me a headache. But wait a minute! I smell it very strong, but absolutely zero headache! Not even the slightest hammering! Perhaps this is due to the fact that the company makes great efforts to process only very high-quality fragrances.
After the next few minutes I find myself on the west coast. A stiff breeze blows around my nose. So also an aquatic note. I also don't like anything else and mostly hits my stomach, but also here.... no complaints :)
Slowly and leisurely the sea mist fades again and also the chewing gum has almost lost its taste. Towards the end LA becomes creamy/woody, a slight sweetness remains.

For me this is something new: Tuberose in a sea salad... quite nice, but unfortunately not for me because of the main actors. But if you like tuberoses, you should definitely try them!

Today for the first time Dries van Noten tried.

What can I say? I'm torn between two sides. The scent starts with sour milk, smells almost like vomit from babies. However, a wonderfully sweet vanilla pod swings subliminally.
On the one hand I am really repelled by this "baby puke" on the other hand very attracted by this delicious vanilla. The first few minutes I have to really hold back, not to go wash off the scent...
Whoever endures like me will be rewarded, this extreme acid milk smell fades with time more and more into the background. Later this note is only noticeable when I sniff directly at my wrist.
Throughout the whole fragrance process I clearly perceive a really great vanilla. not artificial and not too sweet either. still generous but not too overloaded. Those who like vanilla should give Dries van Noten a chance.
Even if the fragrance starts with a really slanted top note, it gets better and better over time. The vanilla is accompanied by a beautifully balanced spiciness. I can't smell it, but it's still really tasty, somehow an oriental vanilla cream.
After some time, the creamy sandalwood loosens up the scent a bit and the sweetness also takes a back seat.
With two sprayers I fogged the whole living room. The initial **smell, however, is only perceived quite closely. The radiation mainly smells vanilla. So don't worry ;)
The durability with a good 8 hours is great. Now it can only be perceived very closely, but I wear the scents primarily for myself and not for the environment.

I am still torn back and forth and will probably only be able to give my final result after several tests.

Something really different, even if it starts in the corner, Dries van Noten has something :)

Conclusion: If you like unusual things and like to experience vanilla in a different way, you've come to the right place.

I'm lucky to have gotten a piece of said scent in our beautiful niche exchange game.

Yesterday the package landed and the sample was immediately fished out.

So put the lid down and get a deep sniff. oh my God!!!!
I almost dropped the sample because I was scared. Immediately I had to close the Pandora's box again.
What was that?
I was used to cuddly lambskin, but instead a goat in heat looked me in the face or better said in the nose.
Carefully put the lid down again and uiii, that's a real goat there in that little bottle.
I'm honestly admitted to being too weak for this scent, I didn't dare spray it on my wrist. That wouldn't have turned out well...

Instead, I asked my dearest darling if he wouldn't like to try it. He's a bit stronger than me ;) but he didn't dare to do it either.

So I packed the buck immediately again and already sent on. I hope the next lady has more courage and dares to dance with the goat ;)

MALVS means "bad/bad"

MALVS starts with a good portion of pepper. He's got a real buzz. In the morning a really great "kick" into the day.

It won't be long before an apple comes from the left.

sweet and fruity. just delicious. As soon as the apple arrives, light grey incense wafts waft around it.

after a few hours the apple is completely eaten and a heap of coked wood remains with a hint of vanilla.

I imagine that after Holy Mass the good priest hurries home quickly, where his housekeeper awaits him with a delicious meal. As dessert he gets wonderful apple pie and the smell of his adulated clothes combines with the sweet treat.....sweet sin in the parsonage just ;)

Thanks to our dear Seraphima (Thank you very much my darling!) I had the pleasure to test this exclusive and limited fragrance.

From the first second on the cinnamon is very present. Often the scent of cinnamon develops too sharp, but this is not the case here.

Cinnamon, leather and wood start a threesome on my arm. That's the real deal. Although I only took a sprayer, half the house smells like amethyst and even in the garden it is well perceived despite a few meters distance

Leather and wood do not have as much endurance as cinnamon and need a breather. But Amber and a little plum continue to play with the cinnamon. The threesome has now turned into a lively fiver. The pepper probably stayed with me at home and didn't want to celebrate with me.

All in all, the fragrance is really great for me, well balanced and terribly delicious - like hot plum cake.

Thus the beautiful amethyst-colored bottle fits perfectly to this gourmand fragrance.

If he wasn't so exclusive, I would have already started into the next perfumery of my trust...
