Australia 2017, just before leaving for Southeast Asia. The last drops of my Dior Homme intense were numbered and I went in search of something fresh, something I could call an all-rounder. I went to nearest specialty perfume store and lo and behold, the winner had been chosen: The Dior Sauvage Very Cool Spay. So off to Southeast Asia we went. The Dior Sauvage Very Cool Spay is an absolute compliment-getter, I can say that much. Just like the Dior Sauvage EDP and EDT, it is described as very pleasant and good smelling by most fellow human beings...

But now with a little structure: the flacon design has interested me from the beginning, because it is just very convenient for travel. The ambrox is definitely constantly eye-catching, but with a fresh twist. In my opinion, however, this synthetic vein is not a bad thing; I and many peers liked the appearance of the Sauvage VCS, it's super suitable as an all-rounder, but it's in spring and summer that it really comes out. Sure, it has similarities to the Sauvage EDT or EDP (which I also own), but somehow this scent did it for me and I'll never forget how much it bound my memory. Every time I smell it, the fresh breeze of freedom, during my travels comes out. For that, I am very grateful...Because that wouldn't have happened with any X-rated fragrance. Regarding the longevity, I can say that this doesn't just come from the perfume itself, but also from your dexterity regarding the dosage. Namely, the deodorant-like trigger makes it possible to make you look in good light, but also be taken as a nuisance. With acceptable and skillful dosing, it lasts for a good 6 - 8 hours. The sillage is of course also dependent on the dosage, but in itself this can be called average.

Therefore, I can recommend this fragrance with a clear conscience to anyone who is looking for a good all-rounder, which occurs again strengthened in the spring and summer.

First of all, this is my first comment and I do not intend to analyze the fragrance further, because this has been done umpteen times before by connoisseurs who know it much better than I do. Therefore, this comment is rather dedicated to the significance of the fragrance for me.

I remember back in 2013, looking for a perfume that wasn't available in the supermarket, which was to make a difference. I was 17 years old and could barely walk into our village club with a mum note. Despite that, of course I wanted to make some impression...stand out from the crowd. My mother was in town and brought me 3 samples: DHI, DHC, and Terre D Hermes. After testing all 3, I knew exactly which of these scents appealed to me. Of course, I wasn't completely without premonition when I came across these 3 perfumes; I read into this forum back in 2013. DHI was going to be it. I wore this perfume for close to 4 years until the third bottle, during my travels around the world, was nearing its end. Unfortunately, this fragrance was not available in Indonesia, at least not in the shops I had visited and I took what I could (In the end it became D&G Intenso)..
3 years I have now spent without this fragrance and him strangely never again picked up in public. Just under 3 weeks ago I came to the decision to order me a new bottle. When it arrived I was excited to own this fragrance again, despite some comments that the formula had changed or that the longevity had become poor. I opened the bottle, sprayed, and was simply overwhelmed. All the memories came flooding back from my very wild times, my meetings with people from all over the world, hikes, evenings around the campfire and much more. You really can't believe how much this scent means to me and how much I realize now that this is and will be my real signature scent; it's not about some mainstream trend, but rather about me reflecting and feeling good in this perfume.
The memory thing wasn't just me either.... My best friend came over in the evening and I proudly presented him the perfume what he had possibly perceived 7 years ago. This may sound funny now, but I told him: "Close your eyes and tell me what you think when you smell this scent." After not even a second, he was overwhelmed. He said it reminded him of the old days when we sat together as a young group, everything was carefree, of me, but sadly also of his ex girlfriend (nothing I can do about that now unfortunately). Anyway, this has shown me that this fragrance really has something special, something unmistakable, something that makes me and acquaintances think.
Of course, I hope that you liked this little story and maybe it went to you even once so with a perfume; then you know exactly how I felt.


P.S.: On me, the fragrance (Oct 2020) lasts a good 8 - 10 hours and even the next day it is still slightly perceptible. In my opinion, I also do not recognize a big difference from the 3 previous bottles that I have owned. But this is my opinion :-)
