I have had an official sample from Amouage for a couple of years now, I can't believe I did not try this fragrance until more recently. That is the problem when you have a shit ton of fragrances along with samples.

Enclave to my surprise is a very nice & well constructed fragrance. It opens up with a beautiful spearmint & chocolate note. More so like those Andes chocolate mint thins? For those who know what they are, that is the smell I get & it is absolutely beautiful to my nose! The cardamom is very well blended as well as the other notes.

From what started as a fresh almost gourmand like opening going into the mid, the base starts to creep in & becomes a more earthy fragrance with the vetiver & patchouli coming into play. The cardamom remains throughout the base along with the vetiver & patchouli. I get no leather (thank goodness) as I can do without that note, especially with this fragrance, I was happy with how long this last on my skin. 8 hours if not a little more with medium projection. You will get noticed. This could be an all year round fragrance. Although, I think this will shine best in spring & autumn. It could also be a signature scent as well.

On the other hand, fans of this brand may be disappointed with this release as it is not the typical, strong, smokey, oudy middle eastern fragrance that their nose is used to. I personally think it fits their library as they need a fragrance or 5 like this to offset their normal themes. They have produced fresher fragrances over the years that are more designerish, yet still niche quality. This is one of them.

Every year for my birthday I always buy myself a new bottle of perfume & it normally expensive, this has just been added to one of the contenders for my birthday fragrance this year! :)

I was taken by surprise when I first sampled this fragrance. From the notes listed, it is nothing how I had imagined it would smell. I get a nice hefty dose of blueberries being baked in a oven, blueberry loaf to be exact. Funny, there is no blueberry note listed here so I am assuming that is coming from the blackcurrant? That note has never given me a rich blueberry smell as it does in this fragrance if it is indeed the blackcurrant radiating that delicious smell.

All the while the tea creeps in & makes this beauty even more intriguing, it's like sitting at the breakfast nook in your kitchen relaxing sipping on some tea while that blueberry loaf is baking & rising in the oven creating a divine aroma throughout your home. Rice I do not get but the musk joins the parlay later on and wraps itself into the fragrance creating a long lasting tenure.

I was shocked how long this last on my skin. I get easily over 8+ with this fragrance. Projection is arms length as it will not announce itself, but those whom you walk pass & who walk pass you will surely pick up the aroma.

All in all, this is a delicious & enjoyable work of art that is easy to wear during autumn months. I am not sure how it holds up in the winter/snow months, but as of right now, you cannot go wrong. One of the brands best IMO!

WHOA!!!!! I am not one to say rather a fragrance is for men/women. Hell, I wear everything marketed underneath the sun.... But this here at least to my nose & on my skin is for the ladies. First spray I am assaulted with florals... Freesia, Tuberose & Gardenia! Freesia & Gardenia are the two strongest florals I smell. And to be honest, I can stomach freesia to a certain extent depending on what other notes it is mixed with, but that gardenia??? NO THANK YOU! That is one of thee worst florals to my nose. I do not like the smell of it whatsoever... And in this particular fragrance, it is trying to take first place. It literally makes me want to gag... I do not get any orchid, a flower which I love though I am sure it would not matter because it would have been buried under the gardenia & freesia.

I get a pinch of bergamot underneath the florals but it is not helping whatsoever. The dry down is suppose to have vanilla, tonka & marshmallow?? Not on my skin... This is a straight up floral BOMB from start to finish. If you are not into florals & especially these particular florals, you may want to avoid. Your skin may pick up other notes that mine does not.

I wonder what made them come up with the name Moon Carnival? To me, this smell does not resemble a carnival rather it be by moon nor sun. This is a big NO NO for me...

I blind bought his fragrance some years ago & while I normally have a good track record of blind buys, this was not one of them, What made me interested in this fragrance was the notes, Dried fruits, dates, benzoin, tonka etc... I thought this would be a hit but yet it was a miss.

This fragrance opens up with one of the strongest spice notes in the perfume game, I mean its really strong. I also detect cloves in here as well, That is a challenging note for me & while I can stand it, I suppose it does not mix well with the other notes because that is really all I get out of this fragrance more than anything else is POPURRI! And it is vile.... That strong unpleasant smell does not go away, it just lingers into the dry down on my skin.

I do not like smelling this directly on my skin, it smells much better from a distance. It is a fragrance that smells of Christmas time that is for sure.... The dates, tonka & basically everything that I like most is suffocated by that popurri smell. It projects ok for the first couple of hours & it last about six hours on me.

I am glad I got a chance to own & wear this fragrance, but alas we were not meant to be!

Royal Vanilla..... A very sweet, rosy, SYNTHETIC beast of a fragrance that really is not original. In fact, it is a mixture of a few different perfumes combined to create this which I might add is really not needed, If you like/want Sensual Instinct, Bacarat Rouge 540 & Intense Cafe mixed all in one, you've found your holy grail.

This stuff is very strong & it last on my skin the majority of the day. Strong projection & silage leaves a trail for hours. I was not impressed by this fragrance simply because it is literally just a mixture of other perfumes. It is also not blended well as is most from Montale/Mancera. Synthetics frags are ok with me as long as the blend is properly made. The way that Montale/Mancera does vanilla I am not fond of either.

Bottom line is, if you have any of the three fragrances I mentioned above, you do not need to waste your money on this unless you are a collector. Just pick one from the list & use that.
