Clone Wars the.... 501.?
Like almost all cheaper fragrance houses of the Orient, Lattafa has also looked around here at 2 very noble houses. I would simply throw Xerjoff Erba Pura and Tiziana Terenzi Kirkè into the room. When unpacking the fragrance I notice a very inconspicuous, quite cheap looking bottle but I have to take a look at my own nose, because I bought the fragrance in the 50ml version, which saves on the bottle and the price is only about a third of the already very cheap 60ml bottle, which can be seen on the picture above. If you want to get an impression of my bottle you can have a look at the picture of Al Rehab Sultan.
But now finally to the fragrance:
I make a simple test sprayer in the air (spray head usable) and don't expect too much at first but then I am baffled. It looks like Lattafa has tried to build a clone of each of the above mentioned scents. However, the perfumer got a little nervous on the deadline of the presentation, because he didn't like either of them 100%. Out of sheer desperation he blindly tilts both clones together and finds himself in another job. But to everyone's surprise, what he poured together isn't bad at all. He seems to have found the middle between Erba Pura and Kirkè. In the blind mixture he has lost a little bit of the sophistication of the respective fragrances but the DNA is absolutely there. He has exactly the same fruity hairspray DNA that makes up the 2. I didn't expect much but for less than 10€ I think this is one of the best cloning I have ever seen. If you want to have Kirkè or Erba Pura, but have to get by with a typical student budget and can cope with small differences in quality, you can be happy, because here you will find it!

JPG Le Male tries his hand at noble (?)
I finally decided to write a comment, but to which fragrance I have been wondering for a while now. I chose the latest Gaultier fragrance, as this one is not bad in itself, although my previous statement might suggest that. At least the bottle in this black isn't from bad parents and I especially like it with the golden head.
But now enough of the speech and now to the fragrance:

It starts directly somewhat powdery through the iris and vanilla is always there from the beginning to the end and brings a very strong sweetness. Cardamom and lavender are rather extras or are simply swallowed by the typical Le Male - DNA, as it is very present, which can?t be seen as a criticism with a flanker...theoretically at least. For my taste, it confuses the scent pyramid a bit and leaves very desirable and popular notes like cardamom and lavender (yes, La Nuit de L'Homme is not without reason one of my absolute favourite scents) simply a little bit whitewashed. The fragrance continues and slowly the "oriental woods" (whatever that may mean) come through. Phew...I find the term "woods" here a bit difficult and almost wrongly chosen. "With something chemical pimped Le Paint DNA" would be the more fitting description for my nose, which by the way slowly starts to sting a little, despite the actually on soft made scent (but only as long as I am with my nose directly on my wrist, you have to stay fair). It fades away after about 6 hours, but then only very close, with hmmm...actually only vanilla and nothing else.
In conclusion, I find the fragrance neither really good nor really bad. It's okay, period. I can understand that it has and will have many fans because of its typical DNA, but there is something shower gel-like about it. Not a shower gel for athletes, but rather one that is released for 30€ per 300ml, with a fine oriental touch, but after a year bought by Axe and marketed in their new "Axe - Privé" line for 5€ with known DNA.
He has a right to exist, but the two of us remain just acquaintances

Well, now it's really over and I thank you very much for reading my first comment and I thank the whole community for helping to create this place so wonderfully and for making it what it is!
