Openness is a key that can open many doors (Ernst Ferstl)

Every now and then I came across this fragrance on Parfumo - top rated, beautiful bottle. From time to time I read the fragrance description, comments and statements. And every now and then I came to the conclusion: It's not for me

-Fragrance direction "sweet-spicy"; I actually do not like sweet fragrances.
-Has a rubber or plastic "vibe"; what good is that supposed to do?

So every time I passed the shelf with the Pradas in various perfumeries I left it on the left. I tested the original Luna Rossa, the Luna Rossa Carbon or Prada L'homme intense (but only because I appreciate Prada L'homme very much). However, despite repeated testing, none of the above was bought.
Luna Rossa black, just like the sport, was not even considered.

Now it happened that a few weeks ago I happened to drop by at Müller's to look around for new products or a fragrance for the upcoming autumn. Among the not worth mentioning novelties I suddenly came to a halt in front of "This is Him" by Z&V and as I had this one in good memory I sprayed it on my forearm. Well, it needs some time until it develops, so I thought I could spray a second one at the same time. And as fate would have it, Luna Rossa Black stood right next to it. I don't know why but I said to myself in this moment "just try it", and so it happened

The first impression was as expected sweet, powdery - not bad but not outstanding either.
When I was on my way home I compared the two again and again and actually found the Z&V much better.
After about 2 hours I noticed that I was surrounded by an unbelievably pleasant scent mist during some movements, which I couldn't capture properly at that time. I also wondered which arm it came from or if it was a mixture of both arms. When I smelled it closer I realized that it must be the Luna Rossa Black. However, I noticed that it did not smell as appealing directly on the skin as the subtle mist that surrounded me. So I decided: it must be tested more exactly

Long story short: A week later he moved in with me

About the fragrance itself:
As described above, I find it almost too sweet-powdery at first and after extensive testing I have found out that it stays sweet on the skin. What fascinates me so much about Luna Rossa Black is the subtle mist of scent that surrounds it, which I would not describe too expertly: sparkling, warm, modern, slightly powdery, deep

The durability and sillage I would call the upper average. 6 to 8 hours you get a lot out of it.

It is hard to deny that writing comments is not one of my favourite activities, but I simply felt the need to dedicate one to this fragrance.

Cagliari in May
Salvatore opens its eyes, the light shines gently through the slats of the closed shutters. He gets up, goes to the kitchen and opens the fridge. The scent of the ripe grapefruit that he put in two days ago is pouring towards him. He takes the glass carafe filled with water out of the refrigerator, opens the wings of the balcony door of his one-room apartment and goes out onto the small balcony. A fresh breeze is blowing from the sea, there are still a few light clouds of veil hanging in the sky; a sunny, warm spring day is imminent. Salvo goes into the bathroom, washes himself and takes a fresh white shirt out of the closet, plus his light linen suit. The streets are still deserted, the way to the office leads him along the Calata Mercedari. On the left the sea, on the right between avenue trees the just blossoming lavender. Like every morning before work he wants to drink an espresso in the small café just before the turnoff to the harbour. He sits on the spartan terrace overlooking the sea. While he waits for his coffee he lets his gaze wander into the distance. The sun unfolds its power more and more and shines on the already dry alluvial wood only a few meters away from it. The perfect start to a warm May day.

Wolfgang (56J)
Wolfgang is 56, married and father of a 15-year-old daughter. He lives with his family at the edge of a 5.000 souls village in a 50 years old single family house which he had modernized step by step. During the week he does his safe job in the public service, on weekends he likes to go to cultural events (even in the city a little further away) or goes hiking with his family in the countryside. Wolfgang is not a friend of big changes. He has been driving Opel for 30 years, always buying his shirts from Olympus and has always worn Azzaro pour Homme every day. On his 52nd birthday, his wife wanted to give him the Eau de Toilette as a present, as she does every year. But when she asked for it in the perfumery with the big M where she always bought it, the saleswoman said: "There's something new now. It's not unlike Azzaro pour Homme, but it's more modern." Wolfgang's wife was sceptical, but then had the perfume sprayed onto a test strip. What she smelled was actually modern, sweet and yet masculine. A bit like a freshly baked apple pie with a lot of cinnamon, but still you could see the original Azzaro pour Homme behind it in light nuances. Since she still had some errands to do, Wolfgang's wife suggested to take the test strip with her to observe the development of the fragrance. Again and again she smelled at the paper strip and she liked how the scent developed. More and more he resembled the original. When she had finished her work, she returned to the perfumery and bought a bottle of Azzaro pour Homme intense. Since then Wolfgang uses two fragrances. Azzaro pour Homme Edt as a companion to his grey jacket or his olive green hiking jacket and Azzaro pour Homme Intense accompanied by his black blazer or his 20 year old wool coat.

Unexcited average scent
It was a spontaneous purchase. Initially citric with a bitter note. In the heart note it becomes somewhat herbaceous after my feeling. In the base it loses freshness almost completely and the herbaceous mixes with woody notes. Not a really bad smell but I wouldn't buy it anymore. H+S are fine.

A good one, but not for me...
I had bought Sauvage at the time it was launched. At this time, I already attached importance to a great fragrance, but I still did not occupy myself in any way with fragrances, fragrance progressions, etc.. Also I had at that time mostly only a maximum of two perfumes at the same time which I used. So I wore a scent all year until it was empty.

I have not changed my mind about Sauvage in this respect until today. I still think that it is a great fragrance that can be worn all year round and on any occasion.

But I wouldn't buy it anymore because it has become omnipresent like so many good and successful fragrances. You just know him and smell him on him accordingly often
