A semi-gourmand on an iris basis
Valentino Uomo Intense starts impressively with a very balanced, aromatic blend of clary sage and tangerine, which after a few minutes turns into a powdery fragrance dominated by iris. A soft suede accord quickly joins in, giving the perfume a cool, luxurious touch while making it look modern and sophisticated at the same time. In the background, an almond-like, vanilla note, which probably belongs to the tonka bean, rounds off the fragrance in this phase. After about four hours, iris and leather transform into a base of rich, high-quality vanilla. The leather is tough and prevents Valentino Uomo Intense from looking too sweet in its drying phase. A perfect balance is created - sweet and creamy, but also masculine at all times.
The projection of Valentino Uomo Intense is excellent, without the perfume being perceived loud or even unpleasant. The shelf life of more than ten hours can be described as above average.
All in all, Valentino Uomo Intense is a very high-quality, beautiful semi-giant that is perfectly suited as a fragrance for autumn or winter. All in all very recommendable !

Grandma's apple pie with everything, please!
The fragrance opens with a burnt, sugary, warm amber dressed in scented tobacco. The tobacco appears soft and fruity and underlines the gentle character of the fragrance in the most excellent way. As it progresses, the fragrance changes to a slightly spicy baked apple note, which blends with the aroma of honey almond and cinnamon. In the background, I also perceive a delicate ginger paired with tonka bean, which gives the fragrance an additional delicate pungent note. The fragrance at this point almost resembles a delicious, freshly baked warm apple pie with a light rum note. In the course of further development, the tobacco note becomes weaker and various resins such as benzoin and labdanum move to the fore. With the rum aromas still present and the sweet smelling resins, Hermessence Ambre Narguilé dries out more and more. With a perfect symbiosis of amber and gentle resins, the fragrance finishes after about 9 hours. The projection can be described as pleasantly average over the entire course.
All in all, I would assign the fragrance to the feminine rather than the masculine side.
For me, Hermessence Ambre Narguilé would be a perfect fragrance for the cold season, especially around Christmas.

Magic moments
Black Afgano has long been on my wish list of fragrances to test. Only the relatively high price kept me from going into action. In the end, curiosity prevailed and I got myself a bottle of the raven black juice.
Already with the first spray from the atomizer a deep, very intense incense chord escaped, which was surrounded by an unsmoked menthol-cigarette tobacco aroma. This slightly mentholated note enhanced the intoxicating effect of the fragrance and supported it in the most excellent way. At this point in time, the scent of hashish definitely could not be dismissed. However, I think that a very skilful use of tobacco, vetiver and resins is responsible for this fragrance experience.
In the further development I added a distinct synthetic medicinal oud note with an aspect of smoky tea, which further intensified the smoky impression. At the same time I noticed something tenderly woody in the background, as well as a hint of patchouli, which rounded off the fragrance very pleasantly at this point. This scent remained on my skin for a very long 10 hours. The more Black Afgano dried, the more patchouli could assert itself and towards the end, just before the fragrance disappeared, I was even offered a light vanilla note.
Despite its almost beast-like durability, the projection of the fragrance is not overly strong and ensures that Black Afgano remains easily wearable despite its intensity.
Black Afgano is an elixir of magic. Potent, heavy, tempting, expensive, deep, dark, decadent, woody, addictive and absolutely unique - the perfect companion during the long, cold winter months
Lovers of deep smoky fragrances will get their money's worth here.

Olivia Giacobetti's masterpiece
Idole de Lubin opens with a beautiful combination of amber, saffron, a noticeable amount of bitter-looking spices and a slightly juicy feeling of rum and a touch of bitter orange. Further development results in a slightly fermented sweetness, which leaves a warm, soothing scent with candied vanilla tones. With time, the juicy note fades into the background and a dark, sweet woody scent, dominated by ebony, pushes forward. In this phase of the fragrance, I detect a kind of overripe cherry, which complements the wood notes wonderfully. Little by little, the fragrance begins to become slightly leathery, smoky, and dries off with a hint of deep, dark amber. This process ends on my skin after about 6 to 7 hours. The projection is rather restrained, which suits the scent very well.
I can especially recommend Idole de Lubin as a cuddly scent in the living room under a warm, fluffy blanket in the cold winter.

Animal-leathery dustiness in vanilla bed
Habit Rouge opens with a violent rush of citric, tangy notes of lemon and bergamot with a hint of bitter orange. Equally next to it are spicy and rosy-floral scents, embedded in a woody frame of rose and sandalwood. A few minutes later, the fragrance changes into an aromatic, powerful cloud filled with floral patchouli and sprinkled with a fine dose of spicy cinnamon. In this phase Habit Rouge works best for me. The four main actors of the fragrance fight for supremacy. A still striking citric freshness, a warm spicy cinnamon note, noble woods, as well as an almost animal note of leather, vanilla and labdanum. The more Habit Rouge dries, the softer it becomes, and a characteristic powdery accord of vanilla, amber and moss with a hint of incense prevails.
In total the fragrance lasts 8 hours with a powerful projection on my skin.
If you are looking for a timeless, aromatic, dry Fougere classic, this is the place to be.
Habit Rouge is worth a test in any case !
