Today a honey mixture enriched with morel and mint
Due to the numerous comments about the similarity of Insurrection II Wild to the well known A * Men Pure Havane by Muggler, I wanted to get a picture myself. Oriental Gourmand fragrances were still missing in my collection.

Despite the summer heat, I dared the test. Shortly after spraying on, a scent of a mixture of morello cherry syrup and mint honey spread. Very intense, but also somehow delicious. The cherry note was in my opinion over the whole
Life of the fragrance at different intensities.

After a while a green, sharp tobacco note appeared, but not as offensive as a cigarette on the street, rather soft, with the pride and elegance typical of the finest Cuban cigars.

The heart note continued with a sour leather chord mixed with vanilla spices, almost as if one had filled a large amount of patchouli leaves and vanilla sticks into a leather backpack.
Although not listed in the fragrance pyramid, I also discovered a hint of vanilla that provided a particularly creamy and powdery smoothness.
The scent experience was accompanied by the woody essence of birch, which supported the other scent components excellently.

At try-down, the fragrance took on a warm, bittersweet, vanilla-like, slightly resinous amber aroma with a sharp ash chord. Ashes in the most positive sense. No wet, damp, dirty ash, but dry and powdery cigar ash, like the one from the already mentioned Cuban cigar.

Although Insurrection II Wild is sweet with notes of honey, rose, vanilla and amber, I think it is very masculine. It differs from other tobacco vanilla fragrances on the market, which are also sweet, but often more feminine and "round".
I attributed this effect to the herbal and green tobacco note along with the earthy and bitter patchouli note.

When it comes to durability, I can't complain about up to 9 hours. The Sillage is average to good and is clearly perceptible in arm length. That's why Insurrection II Wild is a universal fragrance for all occasions.

I think the best scent effect is achieved in cold weather from late autumn to early spring.

Insurrection II Wild is a recommendation for those who like sweet tobacco scents without smelling too feminine.

The colour of the bottle is the programme
for this unique, timeless water of the forest.

In the beginning it starts citric fresh, only to slide relatively fast into the green and spicy. Dry spicy notes, such as basil, thyme, rosemary and rose geranium underlain by various woods take over the command.

All this is accompanied by a very successful lavender-tonka bean-oak moss Accord, which gives me the feeling of walking through a green summer forest.

The oakmoss and vetiver are very dominant in the base. The Vetiver has a completely blurred soil-like earthiness, which smells almost leathery to me.

H/S:

Acqua di Silva is certainly not a shelf life or Sillage monster, but I find 6-7 hours for an Eau de Cologne a very respectable value.

Conclusion:

Acqua di Silva is a classic Fougere perfume which, like no other, reproduces the scent of the forest, without smelling like a bath additive.

A must-have for fans of old school or green perfumes, but really only for those who love oakmoss and vetiver.

Not a twin fragrance but still a beautiful find
Due to the recommendation here in the forum I bought this perfume without having tested it before. It should be a fragrance twin of my favorite perfume Cycle by Otto Kern. I'm afraid I can't share that impression. Nevertheless, I like Cacharel pour L'Homme very much.

The opening is very citric with a hint of geranium, a suede note and a lot of white soap. A soap that smells strongly of nutmeg.
After about 20 minutes the geranium disappears and the citric, the vetiver, the suede as well as various woods take over the command, until the scent finally fades away after 4-6 hours.

I rate the Sillage and the durability as mediocre. In my opinion the perfume is a bit "old school" and fits best for a man from the age of 30 (so to me ;-) )

Lavender vanilla at its finest
Initially, shortly after spraying on, I still had my doubts as to whether Caron Pour Un Homme and I would really become friends.
The concentrated lavender scent shot too intensively into my nose. I wanted lavender but it was definitely too much of a good thing.
Good - some fragrances want to develop - so I just waited and it was worth it. After a few minutes, the lavender ebbed away and vanilla and amber were added wonderfully gently.
This fragrance stayed on my skin for 3 hours with average silage. Body close was still present for another 2 hours.

For me this fragrance, like no other, smells like a relaxed holiday in Provence.

If you like lavender and vanilla, you'll definitely love this perfume.
